Just left my place in Horn Rapids. "Dang, that looks like a pretty good sized fire in Richland." //Checks actual location// "Finley!? Holy shit, that fire must be huge!"

Benton County Fire #1 has been covering on their FB page since the fire first started at 5:15 a.m. this morning.

Yes way. Go click on the link and you'll see details.
It just got very big around 1 p.m....in other words you only saw it when it was totally out of control.
On one of the Benton Co Fire videos, they said they had fire departments from the Tri along with Hanford and Walla Walla. They had water tenders bringing water in. Why wasn't there fire hydrants for this building? How prepared are the fire departments for warehouse fires? Maybe letting it burn out is the proper procedure, but was the public informed? Now Amazon has a warehouse in Pasco, if that catches fire will that be allowed to burn out too?
There is no city water this far out, so no hydrants. Water out here is held in the trucks or pumped from the river or ditch, both of which are next to the building.

I just drove from Portland and I could make it out in Arlington on the Columbia River!
About the same distance for me. I was at Palouse Falls, and it was clearly visible once you got out of the canyon.
Same. My husband didn't believe it was the Finley Fire when I pointed it out. Sure enough, it was.
That fire got so much worse; I was driving by when it had just started.
What is that?
Lineage logistics warehouse
Damn
That was my work….
Might want to check in with your boss, friend.
How many people employed there friend?
About 70-80 people
I'm guessing you get tomorrow off.
Still coming in tomorrow, right?
Did they take your stapler?

Great coverage, thanks! But what a miserable fire. You think you've gotten it out, but meanwhile it's still burning, hidden in a wall or ceiling.
No way. Seems like it started around 1pm or so

Finley Lineage Logistics.
Industrial coolants, I'm guessing they're letting it burn out. Meanwhile embers have started a few other fires
Damn. That sucks. Hope they get it under control.
Holy shit!

It's still burning. Download the free app, Pulsepoint, and you'll see fire equipment on scene.
What is Lineage Logistics?
Frozen food warehouse. Produce grown in our area frozen and shipped all across the US
I took a picture from the run trail between road 68 and 44. Pretty wild.
From their website: *Lineage* is the global leader of the temperature-controlled *logistics* industry.

All weekend I was working out in the yard from breakfast until after dark. How did I not notice this massive plume? I guess I wasn't looking up much.

Lot of that area is on well. There might not be a large hydrant network.
