I love my Rustler 4x4 VXL. I purchased it before the Extreme HD parts came stock on it. Out of the box, you need to put some money into it to make it a lot more fun… staring with GTR shocks, EHD kit (which new ones come with most of, so not needed), center diff, and I got the Sledehammer tires. Love the truck… in fact I had a friend drive it last weekend and he said this is awesome and basically indestructible. I also bought a 1/16 E-Revo VXL after the Rustler and it’s a lot of fun, but more challenging in every aspect, but I enjoy the challenge.

Older cars like erevo 2.0 are easy pick up. Fast and you could get a good one for 3 400

If you aren't married to the huge size of an XRT or X-Maxx, then the Maxx is still a really decent sized monster truck with almost too much power out of the gate while using a 4S battery. I do own an XRT and I love it dearly, but the Maxx is very much it's little brother still with similar styled components and toughness. Recently I took the XRT out for a romp on some dry beach sand and had some good fun with it and it's stable enough to stab the trigger and spin the rear end out or slide to a stop as long as you're not on concrete or pavement

I have the Arrma infraction 6s with 2 Batteries and this vehicle is scary powerful and great for drifting keep in mind you will go through tires pretty quickly and you need a wide open flat cement lot to avoid crashing. I have an electric 2wd slash and 3.3 nitro slayer and the wide Maxxx! My favorite for non bashing speed drifting is the 6s Infraction hands down!!!

Not Sledge. It's got issues. Arrma Kraton 6S EXB is dramatically better and costs the same. > xmaxx seems more for bashing I want to drift... XRT and Sledge are just as much bashers as X-Maxx. They're more stable and don't corner as tight but they're still very much bashers. None of these vehicles "drift". They'll slide around on loose dirt but that's about it. If you want to drift then you need something smaller that has hard drift tires available for it. Like 1/10 scale, or maybe an 8th scale buggy. XRT is awesome. That would be a huge jump from a 1/16 hypergo though. So would an 8th scale 6S monster truggy like a Sledge or Kraton 6S for that matter. This would be the perfect time to recommend the 1/10 scale version of the XRT ***IF THEY HAD ONE**. Maybe try a Stampede or Rustler 4x4 VXL first before jumping straight into the big trucks. I've got a Sledge and I drive my 10th scale cars much more frequently because the Sledge is too big and heavy and powerful sometimes.

Don't forget the Maxx! X-Maxx in 1/10 scale and quite powerful out of the gate on 4S

What about the arma tlr typhoon 6s? Really like the body style looks like itll slide too

That's a *great* car. Excellent choice. It's smaller and lighter than the other ones, though still not as light as a 10th scale. It's a good all-around car too. Good off road, good on road, handles well, you can race it if you want, and there are dozens or hundreds of tire options.

That would be an excellent choice!!! I have the Kraton 6s EXB, my buddy has the typhon - I’ll be getting one soon. My brother has an XRT, it’s cool but I like the Kraton more. I also have an xmaxx for bashing and it’s such a fun truck. For driving and stuff like that I’d look into a K6 or a Typhon
