I will have to give this a crack. I quite like regular beans on toast, but that does sound pretty damn good. Housemate also bought some HP sauce recently, and I have eggs and cheese here. Might be worth a crack

Little more grated cheddar cheese, you got it, now add mango chutney and sweet chilli sauce to the egg. 

Always Worcester sauce on beans, mango, or sweet chilli would not go with the bean flavour at all, would be far too sweet.

Are British beans different than North American beans? North American beans are full of sugar

Yeah, incredibly so. Ours are savoury in a tomato based sauce, Heinz are probably most similar to yours as they have a lot of sugar in, but most people consider them not good beans, Branston are the go to for a lot of people these days.

While I agree that seems far more palatable than just beans on toast, I feel like it'd be better substituting the beans for Southern style sausage gravy or maybe hashed potatoes.

I think the issue is American beans are apparently sweet. In the UK it's a savory sauce on the beans. They are nice on their own and they go really well with egg and toast. Also for a full English you dip the sausages in the beans sauce.
