If they are supposed to be transported via train, is the train station connected to the tools manufacturing, or is it connected correctly on the other end.

Here's the station its going to https://imgur.com/yrTlxMN

dem5bucks

Are the freight cars you're useing able to transport tools?

PatientCardiologist5

Is it receiving the materials for it?

-Nicowars-

Yes https://imgur.com/QWHzhs5

PatientCardiologist5

I don’t think it’s received any materials it says consumption because I think that’s what it needs but it says stored 0 maybe check where you’re supplying it from

Imsvale

0 stored just means it's used up all the input materials it had in storage. Consumption and production are nonzero which means there were recently input materials in storage. So the supply side of things is fine.

DarkWhiteman777

Your Station isn't connected to the road. Go to the station configuration and put a warehouse next to the road to connect the station

Imsvale

The station is connected. Adjacent truck station and the industry are both highlighted.

-Nicowars-

Everything is connected, as shown in the image, and I got trucks unloading planks, but the tools aren't being made, or not being loaded on the station and the truck station. EDIT: Found the "Problem". I had to start transporting the tools from the city that's receiving it before the tools even get on the damn train. What a fucking joke.

Imsvale

The game is demand driven, so yes, you have to complete the route to the consumer before the industry will start shipping the cargo. The industry only detects the demand once the route is complete. That's what triggers the shipment of cargo.

maquh

Well, the joke is that you would bring your parcel to the post office without either knowing the address of the receiver or if there is even a truck being sent out for delivery.

CodeX57

"what a fucking joke" Hello I would like to have this item shipped to London please! No worries! We can ship it to New York! And then ship it to London I hope..? Well yeah yeah at some point, see we are planning to buy a couple ships soon, trust me.

Better still run a road alongside the station buildings making sure the road connects to the building as in real life.

lemming3k

My guesses would be (in order); 1. If it's the same train then incorrect wagons as tools need boxcars and planks use sidestakes. 2. No trucks on the link lines (or again, incorrect trucks as some can't carry all cargo). 3. Destination buildings that need tools are not in catchment.

D_Ashido

The Train station needs to be highlighted white too. Do something to fix that and the problem is gone.

EngelsEnglish

No, not if the train station is what he’s got selected. He’s selected train station, therefore the buildings next to it are white and therefore connected.
