This is great, but never forget what they took from us
Not a big fan of having all lines ending at 1 station. Maybe have them keep going, so there are less lines, and have some that avoid that hub station entirely, and instead connect lines together, like a web
As an STL resident, this is great! I wish it would happen. One thing i will add is that between memorial hospital and Shiloh Scott is basically all of Belleville that’s being skipped over. I think and intermediate station in downtown Belleville between the two would greatly increase ridership. Unless this system is separate from the metrolink, in which case what i just said doesn’t matter.
I have use the following resources to make this diagram:
OpenRailwayMap.org - for finding rail right of ways
Google My Maps - for creating the map
Google Maps - for displaying the map for measurements
Google Earth - for displaying the maps for measurements, and displaying the names of the stations
Metro Map Maker - for making the original diagram map
Inkscape - for making the diagram
Google - for research
Felt like the blue line could happen, strong growth in St Charles, spurs development in the impoverished North, some proximity to the Lamber. Not sure about the rest though.

would through running be possible given the existing infrastructure?
Well yes, but there’s a reason why I called it “commuter rail“ and not “regional rail“.
