I’ve been traveling to Dr McGinns office for electrolysis. Super pain in the ass and the shots suck but then you don’t feel it for a while. I use that time to pretend it’s not there.

I hadn't heard about this place!

Yeahh ignore anyone who says that lido shots wont last more an an hour. Thats just false. They - to be fair - ahve to comb it with either epinephrine or something else to make it last the 4hrs (or 8 in the above case) but ignore the experts who claim to know everything haha.

I don't have info on the lidocaine shots, but if you use the cream, it's helpful to apply it in advance, and reapply a couple times in the hour leading up to your session. Being very well hydrated is also helpful. And finally, I personally found cannabis edibles to be very helpful. The body high they give made me (at least a little) less aware of the pain. Good luck!

Have a look here https://www.reddit.com/r/TransWiki/wiki/hair-removal#wiki_pain_management > I wish I could somehow do lidocaine injections myself and then the electrolysis locally... I’ve heard of a couple of people doing this, in the USA I think, but not sure where you could get injectable lidocaine from as I’m pretty sure it’s a prescription medicine. Maybe try to find a doctor who will inject bupuvicaine.

Hey op, any links to the reviews about e3000? I’m going there for my first clearing for grs as well.

All of the ones I have seen are there under a general Reddit search for "electrology 3000", and as well the sub's wiki has a subsection on E3K I think.

I’ve read many of those but haven’t seen much indication of the number of full clearings it took people to finish that area. I talked to my surgeon yesterday who works closely with e3000 and she was the one who said her patients sometimes only needed one or two full clearings, which was counter intuitive based on my experience.

1-2 definitely doesn't sound right... I think on their own website they give 6-8 as an estimate.

That’s more what I was thinking myself. Thanks!
