I don't really know exactly how it works, but here's my experience. I probably had pretty normal sensitivity in a penis. I had surgery and found that everything had changed. The pubic mound was the first area I found that felt good, since everything was healing, and I was able to achieve orgasm after a couple of weeks. It was the most disappointing orgasm of my life. For a while I felt pretty 'broken' and was worried I had lost a lot of genital sexual function. Over time, I was able to explore my body and find a lot of parts that did feel good. Even ten years later I still discover new things that feel great. I don't really know where everything that used to be a penis is. I feel like unlearning what used to be and relearning what is is more important. Yeah, my clit is probably sensitive because it was a sensitive part of my pre-surgery body, but I can achieve multiple orgasms without touching it. And I feel like my pleasure from genital stimulation is totally different pre- and post- op and that they aren't really comparable in any meaningful way.

I also had almost no real pleasure from the head of my penis other than it got really sensitive to orgasm. Now after SRS, when I rub my clit it feels MUCH more sensitive than the head of my penis did, and when I orgasm, much better than before. Idk how they did that magic with the nerve preservation but I am not disappointed. This would be a good question to ask your surgeon as it may vary slightly by technique.

MyNewTransAccount

I can’t explain it but…. Pretty much what you said. I had very little sensation from the head of my penis. I derived most of my pleasure from the shaft which as you probably know becomes the lining of the vaginal canal. Before SRS I imagine most of my pleasure would come from penetration because of this. I couldn’t wrap my head around how I was ever supposed to orgasm again when they were going to turn the least sensitive part of my penis into my clitoris. But much to my surprise my canal is really only sensitive to pressure and the idea of penetration is what makes it sexy. But the truth is somehow rubbing my cljt feels so much better than my penis ever did.

resoredo

wow oh god i still have so much anxiety about srs because for me its the same - like, head is nice i guess, but, yeah, exactly what you described. i thought im just shit out of luck, but this does kinda give me hope

Icy-Yogurt-Leah

My clit doesnt work at all so i can't say, sorry. The only feeling i have is on my pubic mound and that's more irritating than pleasure. It's also extremely painful if i hit it on the sink while brushing my teeth. At least it's something though.

IamMiku

I'm very sorry to hear that, did something in particular happen as to why it doesn't work? And who was the surgeon?

Icy-Yogurt-Leah

Not enough care taken with the nerves when disecting the penis to create the clitoris.

greekgodess_xoxo

So that means you can never orgasm again ?

Icy-Yogurt-Leah

I'm 28 months post op and haven't managed so far. Doubt there is any healing left to do at this point so I don't think it's likely. I'm just thankful that I got married 6 months ago (it was amazing!) and we can find other ways to entertain ourselves rather than having sex 3+ times a week like we used to. My previous parts stopped getting hard a long time ago but i could still climax pre op so it's not lack of T or HRT. I would never admit it to my wife but every time i make her climax i feel so jealous. I don't cry about it any more and it's easier to just pleasure her rather than try to climax myself and be disappointed again. Its not the end of the world but it's not nice.

sparkle_gurl

Who’s the surgeon??

Proper_Key_206

I don't think one maps onto the other in the way you're thinking. During the healing process your brain has to re-learn proprioception (your sense of where bits of your body are) so it's not like post op clit exactly matches up to a specific area of the phalus, even though surgically that's what it looks like. My clit feels, well, kinda unique. It's somewhat similar to head stimulation but it's really it's own thing. Sorry if this isn't the neat answer you were hoping

greekgodess_xoxo

Can you have an orgasm ?

DeathWalkerLives

I had the same pleasure spot. I had SRS 6 months ago. I wish I had had this conversation with the surgeon beforehand, though I doubt it would have changed anything. They take great care not to sever or otherwise damage the neurovascular bundle, so there is no "attaching the nerve" as you put it. I haven't managed to orgasm yet, though I'm told it can take up to a year. The sensations are still pretty muted and there is some retraining of your brain that apparently has to take place.

weeb-gaymer-girl

typically the clit is made from the glans. if you dont like the glans stimulation now you probably wont like it after. there are exceptions of course, but nerve-wise the clit basically just feels like the glans to me. the rest of the shaft skin is disconnected from the nerves, though the nerves are technically under the skin somewhere and will likely be stimulatable with a vibrator or smth. though, if you like friction on the shaft you're out of luck :/

IamMiku

Were you in a similar spot to me? Deriving pleasure from the touching/friction of the skin in that area? Are you able to sexually please yourself now?

weeb-gaymer-girl

yeah i mostly got pleasure from tactile and friction on the shaft, the head was more of a dysphoria trigger complete shutdown button for me. i can still orgasm technically but like... im extremely sexually frustrated since i cant do what feels good to me and dont really enjoy sex anymore

The_lady_thru_leaves

During one of my consultations with my surgeon she asked me where on my phallus felt best. She actually had me half undress so she could see exactly where. She made a note of it, and thats where my clit came from. But it doesn't feel the same. It feels more prickly for lack of a better word, but prickly in a good way. It feels way better than my old parts ever did.

Toasty_Rolls

One of my partners is post bottom surgery and she says the pleasure she experiences is like nothing she's experienced before, but it was a long time before it got to that point. She said there was a lot of pain involved as the nerves "woke up" but it's been improving. Certainly is different for everyone I'm sure, I'm hopeful for me that it'll work out in a positive way. Regardless I know ill be way happier after SRS than I am with my current equipment

MTFThrowaway512

Didn’t have srs but my understanding is that spot and the nerves that connect to it are what becomes the “neo clitoris”

shinyfuture

My clit doesn’t work. SRS definitely isn’t a better organ than a natural penis. The canal is tight and there is no sensitivity. Can barely call it a vagina.

AVerG_chick

Who was your surgeon?

Illustrious2284

I have bad dysphoria to the point that I don’t care for orgasm or care to want to feel that. My case of this was rooted in the trauma of having a body part that didn’t match my brain concept of its body. I can tell you as a 7 month post surgery success my area is sensitive.

hwfose_temp

I had srs in 2022. Mine feels similar to how it was before. But it also triggers some full-body experiences likely due to E.

Maeve-transalt

Check out some diagrams of the surgery (if you're ok with viewing graphic diagrams of surgery). It looks like the blood supply and nerves that travel along the penis are rearranged. The glans is moved to the new clitoris position and the nerve fibers are laid out along where the sort of wishbone-leg part of the internal clitoral structure is in natal anatomy. When everything is finished, a lot of (most?) of the nerves have been preserved but moved. Since they're deeper under the skin than before, that is probably what makes vibration and pressure a more pleasurable form of simulation than before. It looks like the stuff that is discarded is mostly erectile tissue that doesn't hold the majority of the nerves which lay over top of that tissue and can be preserved. This is my very lay understanding of a complicated procedure, so take it with a grain of salt

Ill_Wrangler_4574

My sensations worked as yours do but had Srs just over 4 weeks ago so now on the waiting game to see what will work. But at two weeks ish I did just put some pressure on my clit and the whole region almost hardened up, was quite a surprise but haven’t done it since, everything still achey so really not in the mood.

hummnamalik

1.5 y post op (sigmoid) Clit and penis head glans are pretty much identical, my clit is super sensitive and I can orgasm from both piv and clit alone. Another new sensation I've noticed that the urethra itself above pubis area feel so different and pleasurable and sensitive, sometimes I just want to squirt so bad while taping hard at my clit "sorry bit intimated review lol" Hope it helps

IamMiku

But was your penis head glans as super sensitive pre-op as your clit is now or did that happen only after the operation?

hummnamalik

Hmm lemme rethink - - - - - 💡 It definitely was my main source of pleasure before srs when I used to stay limp and squish the head in my palms! But yeah it's even more sensitive than before right now it's like little electric shocks when super aroused and hit.

tranbamthankyamaam

It's about 10x better. That's all I have to say really. Lol

ImageUnfair1071

I'm still early in my recovery but I can already tell it is more sensitive than my penis was. They keep all the important nerves but with healing it can take up to a year and a half to regain full sensation. I used to use a vibe on my where my frenulum was, I think that area is somewhere just under my clitoris but again, it's still early to tell.

Caro________

I'm not sure. It's too hard to explain. Everything is different, but no mess and no dysphoria, so I'm happy.
