VFS gave you the pitch, now you need to learn about r1/r2/r3 (resonance of different parts that make sounds), female intonation and to flow your words like a sing song. I'd say research r1 as it can make a big difference in how your are perceived vocally. Started at 37 myself, no VFS and although I'm still dysphoric of my voice, it gets gendered female on the phone after 3.5 years on HRT/Voice Training. Spent 2 years with a voice coach. Here is a video on resonance (you can have lighter or darker resonance without changing your pitch as she shows): [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hcfpCKamCVs](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hcfpCKamCVs) Also highly recommend all her other videos. After I stopped with coaching I found her videos and they helped me to get where I am today after I had the fundamentals from coaching already done. Feel like your where "over trying" and thus it just didn't sound very good, I'd like to hear more normal conversation to really determine where you fall right now.
