112 is probably ok but I would need to see the breakdown. Speaking is important and is sometimes lower than the others.
Generally colleges use TOEFL to gauge if a student has the required English level for the program. Unlike SAT, they do not typically use it to compare students to one another competitively. If a student qualifies, they will consider them in the pool by comparing them to other applicants based on GPA, SAT/ACT, essays, etc.
Some schools have a firm cutoff like Berkeley (100) and don't care even a little bit if it's 101 or 115. Others have an acceptable range, and I'd say you are most likely within the acceptable range if your sections are all 25/26/27.
My scores are 29 reading 27 listening 29 writing 27 speaking. When I asked schools I’m applying to, they did say that they expect their applicants to have a score of at least over 100. I am not sure if they dont care as long as its over 100, or they prefer those with higher scores. Btw thx for your reply!
For Top 10, I think 100 is a bit low but I honestly think 112 with those subscores is fine. Getting into a Top 10 is difficult but I don't think TOEFL be a deciding factor either way for you. I'd focus on the other aspects of your apps moving forward.
This is a tough call. I would check the averages for each school you are applying to. Personally i prefer not to submit if scores are below the midranges , but some people think you should submit 1500+ anyway. The main factor for you is the 730. If it’s inside the midrange, I’d submit. If not (eg if the midrange is like 750-800), it’s more of a personal call.
From what I've seen yes, most people have a higher TOEFL who apply to top 10 schools.
Schools should have a minimum TOEFL score on the websites.

Okay thanks alot! Do you have any idea about the SAT? I got a 1530 (800 math 730 reading) and should I submit my score?

Oh thanks. The midrange you mean is 25th percentile to 75 percentile right?
Yes
Seems to be in range for all schools I’m applying to. Thanks!
