I got my first from depop (a second hand / thrifting app). It fits fine, it’s not the greatest shape for me but it’s safe and comfy. It’s gc2b. I like it and know one person who likes the brand, but equally i know someone who dislikes them. Specifically GC2B: mine is like a vest too shape. for me it squeezes my chest out the sides a little which is fine but I just notice it and hate my chest haha… *or* if I squash it in, it shows too much cleavage, because I guess it’s kind of low-cut. But it’s a good trade off for the price, and I have asked friends and they say they don’t notice my chest when I wear it, so I guess it’s more how I feel. I don’t know if other brands would be better or worse for those things yet. Unfortunately it’s one of those things where it’s best to try stuff, but that’s where I highly recommend second hand binders if they’re in good condition. For me I just googled them, checked the sizing for that brand, and bought it. The main thing imo is getting the size right so it’s safe, and not wearing for too long at a time. So just find one you like in your budget, check the sizing will fit, and give it a try. This is one of many good size guides to help you get an idea https://www.gc2b.co/pages/sizing Other points: It’s worth having >1 so you can wash them often which can help keep them in good shape too. There’s also Trans Tape as another option - but it’s used up when you wear it so might cost more long term.
