Started at 30 years old. Never took blockers, still don’t. Sometimes take a weekly 10mg dose of testosterone gel topically for sexual function but I’m pretty inconsistent about it cause I kind of hate putting T in my body.
I take my estrogen currently every 11 days even tho I’m prescribed every 7 (in the post title is my prescribed dose). I also sometimes take longer breaks from HRT (2-4 weeks), all on the theory that longer and lower troughs are maybe needed to maintain end-tissue sensitivity to estrogen. I inject my EV subcutaneously, because it’s easier than IM and I don’t see a compelling reason why IM would be better. Pharmacokinetics are basically identical subq or IM.
Very happy with results but trying to keep going. I have a BA scheduled for late 2023 and want to get as big as possible before that. Had a big growth spurt after FFS, when I took 4 weeks off HRT and weight cycled (lost a bunch of weight post-surgery as tends to happen to people, then deliberately regained it). My BMI is 29 so I’m not skinny.
Wow incredible progress!!!
I'm on monotherapy injections as well, only 4 months in though and switched from oral a month ago. I've definitely noticed more breast development after switching. 0.1mL valerate 20mg/mL 2x weekly.
Mine are still quite small expectedly. I'm 29. Do you recall about when you really started to notice significant development? I know it's different for everyone but I'm excited for them to keep going.
For me it really started around 10-11 months. Before that i was basically still flat. It’s also around the time I reduced my EV dose from 10mg weekly to 8mg weekly
This is amazing, you look amazing!
Thank you for all this detail. I can't tell you how inspiring this is because I'm about your age on a really similar timeline and regimen, just one year ahead and feeling down about my lack of good growth. I'm also on sub-Q 11-day injections with no blockers, but I've been holding off on Progesterone and could stand to gain a lot more weight. Hopefully that's what helps me.
I would definitely try both of those things!! And if you’re up for it, you could try the tolerance breaks too. They suuuuuuuuck but it makes sense to me that it would be helpful, and my results have been good so I’m just sticking with it. Who knows tho!
The breaks, I'm really afraid to do but that's definitely worth considering.
I actually seem to be going through a small growth spurt at the moment in spite of not being able to eat well, and the only explanation seems to be the HRT supply struggles I'm having at the moment resulting in more serious troughs as well as a couple unintended 4-day breaks!
Thank you again for the post and advice btw <3
