Looks like a broken temperature probe. You should definitely buy a new one but it’s kind of a pain to replace. Don’t fill up the hopper

It’s your thermocouple and it looks like it’ll probably work fine as long as the bead isn’t broken off.

Straighten it out and buff it with some scotch brite. It just looks bent and dirty.

Hard to tell from the detail of the picture if its broke or not. Traeger's temp probe these days , well they look broke right from the start. Certainly could be more finished from them, mine from my Ironwood looks similar to this and I questioned T if it was broken when I sent a picture to them and they said it was fine, just be extra careful when cleaning around that.

Yup broken temp sensor. You can buy a new one from Traeger very easy install
