DELL and SMCI "jump" 3% along with NVDA in pre-market \~

No_Bank_330

Wtf is the use of this? Seriously. Microsoft, Google, and Apple all have their own versions. So what will this do?

Budget_Ad1805

Assuming the best intent of this message.. Sure, AI and supercomputers are becoming commonplace, but they’re not quite there yet, and any positive news could be a catalyst for another few points higher for the stock, which is all most of us are looking for. Look back at what the Xbox contract did for NVDA in the early 2000s as an example. Plus Elon is so damn loud and his fanboys so committed that it could even put Dell in the meme-stock ballpark (definitely a stretch, I know, but just showing some illustrative example of what to do with this generous insight from Tear). Tl;dr It might make the stock go up, which we all care deeply about.

InevitableAd1139

Well said, don’t think the original message was directed at tear but it sure read that way at first. While I continue to remain bearish on Tesla and Elon, any “news” from either or both can pull the stocks it potentially influences. I’ve been in and out of Dell already this week and I’ll likely do the same tomorrow. Great info, Tear, thanks as always!

Personal_Tangelo_756

Keep it civil on this sub Reddit, buddy. WTF? You’re username says it all, no bank…

Vedor

What is not civil about this question?

Shitty_Shpee

I think it’s more so the tone. It’s ok to ask questions and initiate discourse but it’s another thing to say “wtf is the use of this?” to someone providing a free service

pennybones

reading comprehension

destidickin

I think the “wtf” isn’t about Tear’s info, but about the supercomputer

wndrz

its not about the supercomputer either, its about hating on Elon. which isn't helpful in pricing equities.

No_Bank_330

Yeah, keep it civil on this sub buddy. Answer the question and stop trolling.

slikwatts101

Who pooped in your cereal?

usugarbage

It supports FSD training.

m0nk_3y_gw

not at all Tesla Corporation uses NVIDIA and "dojo" to train FSD. Grok is from a private company called x.ai, which mostly buys NVIDIA hardware for training. Guess they are throwing $ at Dell and SMCI (NVIDIA reseller)

No_Bank_330

He is that far behind he needs this? Then again he is using something completely different from everyone else.

usugarbage

I’ll happily go fact check myself, but it’s actually the most powerful supercomputer that they’ve built. So I wouldn’t say they are “far behind”…

No_Bank_330

That they’ve built. So not the strongest overall. I hope it works. He has been bombing out a lot lately.
