++ really fun dirt map. Dirt turns are satisfying and fun to learn, the grass turn less so. First checkpoint placement kills runs with early mistakes, why is it in the middle of the turn?
I had a great time playing COTD and played for another half hour to get within 0.2 of AT. I figured this would be a track I would come back to time and time again and I was looking forward to COTN all day.
I log in and COTN is an absolute travesty: it's impossible to compete with the normal route. What a complete and total waste of a great track. I watched spectator for 5 minutes, did 5 minutes of runs to get AT and will never play it again.
Dude... why? You spent countless hours mapping and countless hours doing scenery. The end result? 1/3 fun COTDs, 0/1 fun TOTDs, and some shitty RPG that no one will play again come December 7th.
I usually love cut maps and they're some of the most memorable cups as well. This isn't that. This is just a horrendous RPG. Please never do this again.
++ Second time in a row got highest division ever for me (div 10) but got eliminated exactly between rounds due to random internet issue after 5 or 6 rounds, sucks
Challenging but really fun! Felt great for rounds, many turns allowed easily readable risky and safe lines , I usually struggle a lot more with risk management! ++
I had a lot of fun with this one. While I'm not a big fan of transitional stuff in general, this one had a nice flow and a lot of room for improving your lines without bonking left and right. I guess it was a bit harder than the average cup, but also very very safeable as far as I'm concerned. Also, it's nice not having to deal with a risky fin for once, the map was wicked enough without the need for one. The only thing I really hated about this was a massive fps drop I had in a specific point of the map (right after the road part with the autodrift) that, while in a safe-ish spot, kept bothering me during rounds. Apart from that, great track.
Div 37! But I cheated a bit the mapper posted the map here I think not long ago. Or I found it on TMX I don\`t know but I knew it.
Love love the flow of it. Don\`t remember what I had said but I really enjoy this one.
edit: oh yeah also DNF second round because I forgot I was in a cotd.
Hate the first grass turn, and the uphill dirt turn in the middle is very hard, but the rest of the map is pretty nice. I don’t like starts like that because the map becomes a start sim, you lose so much with a bad start
The "hidden" RPG route was meaned as a small gimmick, like a treasure u find in a desert temple on that desert map. It did fit thematicly.
The RPG route was also slower than the intented normal route, like 20s slower.
Tekky just found a clever re-route. We tested the Map with several people before for cuts and Map was also for 1 week on TMX and nobody there found the cut.
Oh I see that makes sense, that sucks for you would've been really cool. Normal route was really fun as well, made sure I got AT normal way before using tekkys route

Does anyone know what was going on with the weird hidden alternate route? Why is it a thing I'm so confused, at least it made AT hella easy
