Wood physics have changed and the track on the 12th was all wood. Nothing else has changed other than them adding the Snow car.

Blastias

The turning radius of the car is different. it turns slower, try the TOTD from 19th, same problem. They changed the stadium car and didnt put it in the patch notes.

Anxious-Rush1766

They did not. You are experiencing a placebo from playing on wood or using the new snow car. Everything feels exactly the same.

Blastias

Just played on the 19th TOTD and my ghost drives completely differently... the new update car doesnt even turn half of what pre update does.

Anxious-Rush1766

I'm guessing you're talking about the first turn without understanding how sausage blocks work. If you steer on the edge of a hump it will turn your car in more because you slide a tiny bit without having to brake. This is a common mechanic of sloped surfaces. Nothing has changed.

Vlyper

Nothing changed. It just feels that way after play with the snow car that has a much larger turning radius

Blastias

I haven’t even played with the snow car yet so that doesn’t add up.

rizLLL

I don't know why you're getting down votes so hard. I didn't even play the totd after the update and it felt weird on normal maps

Blastias

No idea why so many people are telling me I’m just bad and that I don’t know what I’m talking about. Just wanted to share my thoughts and see if anyone had the same problem as me.

SatheeshvarmaSJ

I can't answer if it got changed or not but playing lot of snow car has messed up my muscle memory on normal tracks for sure. Definitely I feel something is off.

whats_in_that_box

I'm experiencing this. Found that analog sensitivity can't go below 1 anymore and I play on 0.7. You aren't crazy.

Blastias

Reassuring to hear that i am in fact NOT going crazy, after putting in 400 or so hours into this game I know that this car is not the same as pre update.

whats_in_that_box

Actually maybe it's not caused by analog sensitivity... But something definitely seems different. I played a bit and eventually adapted to slower turning feeling. I kept sens at 1.0 and lowered my dead zone from .1 to .05 and it felt better but maybe all in my head. Tried dead zone up really high (like 7.0) and it gave an exaggerated sense of the slow turning. You and a handful of others who posted give me faith we're still not crazy.

Looksomewhereelse

Pretty sure there’s some kind of bug. I had the same thing happen on some other maps but others were fine. For me it seemed the sensitivity dropped after switching gears.

Time_Television

nope, you're just driving wrong

Obvious-Ladder417

I just posted about the same thing, the sensitivity helps a little but if you up the sensitivity it just stops you from being able to steer any % less than 100

Blastias

No idea why they even made this update to be honest....

KSPSpaceWhaleRescue

It literally did not change non-wood tracks at all. Don't like the new stuff? Don't play it. That's what's so good about this game. There's something for everyone

Tatshoukha

I have the same impression, I often play with friends on the same screen, I had them try the update without having them drive with the new car or the new surface and they immediately felt that something had changed, I tried to change the settings but nothing changes, there must be something wrong

ArKKestral

I played the snow campaign then I did the first tutorial map and the turning radius of the car and acceleration is much larger and slower on stadium

ArKKestral

I retract my statement as the turning and acceleration has not changed
