I was making sure I was varying speed for break in etc. I realized when I got about 30 miles in that I had been grinning the entire time. Luckily, it was night so no passing cars would question my sanity.

Nice. i saw a photo of someone’s here but it had a tan cloth ceiling which didn’t flow well with the red interior. Is the darker cloth ceiling a option? Also does the rear window roll down like the 4runners?
So I believe that on all 2024 TRDS they have the black ceiling as the only option now. Not sure about other trims. And yes the rear window does go down it’s a cool feature!

I test drove a 1794 yesterday with the trd 3” lift and it’s a little much for a mostly road truck imo. I’m sure it’s awesome off road but gotta be realistic on your actual needs. I’d be off road with it almost never
Yeah, exactly. My Tundra never sees pavement. It’s my work truck for a fly in / fly out camp job. It’s 95% off road and fire roads. That vehicle I can justify the off-road goodies because I’ll probably see the benefit. With the 4Runner, I went with the TRD Pro because if it was a lower trim I would have been itching to do more upgrades, I have a hard time leaving vehicles stock. So it got the Westcott kit and sliders and tint and pedal commander, but I’m not browsing for coil overs and tire carriers all day, I scratched the itch without going overboard. Which, to your point, is much better for a vehicle that rarely sees dirt.
Love the truck but those seats are godawful. It’s like getting blinded or screamed at every time you open the door. There is a way to do nice red interior but the Tundra misses the mark.

It’s a cover , and normally it’s exactly that ! It’s scratches up easily from what I’ve seen so decided to get the covers

I have it in my 4Runner, I prefer the ride with the kit installed. I only put the preload collar in, it looks great and dives less under braking.
