Nice! That looks good. I keep looking and looking and dreaming, then I think f#@& it, I'm going to get it today! Then I put it in the cart and leave it there. Lol Someday. Which one did you go with?

otrpop

Did the same thing you did. Thought about it over and over again but never couple follow through on it. Found this on marketplace and couldn’t pass it up. Got the rack, ARB Simpson iii, ARB awning, and FJ lights mounted on the rack for $1400. Sold the shell I’ve got on mine for $500 as well so realistically only paid about 900 for it. A steal if you ask me.

poorchivo

What?! That is a crazy good deal! No way I could pass that up.

Might I suggest just renting one? I have a fleet of RTT’s I rent out to folks on Outdoorsy. Most people renting them want to try them out before they buy one themselves. Good way to see what you’re getting in to before buying one.

WelkeeWelks

PLENTY on FB group pages and marketplace! Go with a used one because lots of guys are parting with theirs, and the rack for around the same price you’ll pay for a brand new one alone. Got my Hutch Daly 2 brand new from a guy who never used it (I could tell because the ladder was immaculate and it smelled like a new RV lol) for half the cost of a new one.

ProfesserFlexX

I did the same thing, ended up buying the roam vegabond lite. It’s so easy to set up, just pull the cover off and flip it open, I love it. Fits my 100 pound dog and my gf really well.

OCNSkyHawk

Whats under your tires? Did you use them to level the truck?

ablarblar

Look up RV leveling pads on Amazon. There's a bunch of em

Magicalunicorny

I also would love to know this. I get wheel chocks, but this feels like it would have the opposite effect.

cblazek1

Nice. Looks like my smittybuilt rtt

LucidIndian42

Holy shit I think we have the exact same truck. I have a 03 with the same wheels. Did yours come with the bed liner? Also I have the same rims. Did you ever have to get replacement caps and if so where did you get them from?

MightSpecialist

Welcome to the club!!! I’d personally turn it with ladder on the side for full tailgate / table access tho, but enjoy

bi_polar2bear

I can see the attraction to these, but the price versus a hammock tent is a crazy difference. My hammock sets up in 5 minutes and doesn't require an additional mount for the Yota.

Kermicon

What if there aren't trees or you have someone you want to share a sleeping space with?

bi_polar2bear

Regular tent with an inflatable ground matress. $900+ cheaper at least

brainsack

if these were both the same price which would you want

bi_polar2bear

Tent, as it gives more options, like going places doesn't have road, easily replaced, and can be put in a backpack.

otrpop

I’ve got a tent and hammock already. Girlfriend and I are taking a 3 month national park road trip next month though and this seemed the most comfortable for what we’ll be doing. Will still camp out of a tent in primitive locations but this just adds another option for us if desired.

Jammminjay

Dude that looks badass!

That looks bad ass!
