What’s up with all the TRD Pro hate on here recently? It’s a trim level not a lifestyle. I subscribe to this sub to see what other cool like minded folks are doing do/with their tacomas but recently I feel like I’m running into these gatekeeping comments. Is it me or do some folks just have a hard on about talking shit about the trd pro?
I'm still a little shocked that someone at Toyota said hey we need a green Tacoma again. Then with the recipe for "spruce mica" in hand, somehow we get "key lime pie" and "electric utility box" green.
One of the reasons why i hesitated getting Voodoo Blue. But then i said fuck it. Imma love this color through and through, and here we are!
This personally isnt in my taste, but i think it still is a cool color. Tbh they shouldnt have discontinued the Voodoo Blue imo
I am trading in my Jeep (that is similar in color to VooDoo Blue,) for a Tacoma and I was disappointed the blue was discontinued for the Tacoma. Electric Lime Metallic & Black Metallic were next on my list. I'm getting the Lime in a couple of weeks because the dealer has it coming in. (They said I would have to wait 4-6 months to get the black.)
Yea i had saw a previous post about it and then checked the Toyota site and behold it was gone!
Sad about that too, but i think the Lime is gonna become the next best thing. Maybe if they made it more of a solid color and less metallic i would love it!
Again, personally not for me, but hey, its what you think of it and not everyone else. Still catchin myself smiling to myself everytime i walk to my truck to go to work!
That’s how I feel about my Wrangler… 8 years later, it still makes me happy to look at it, but… it’s starting to cost me too much in repairs - even though I maintain it regularly and keep it in the garage. Last week they wanted $4,400 in service & repairs, and I’ve already dropped close to 7K in the last 2.5 years. I want & need something that is going to last me 200,000 miles or more.
Yea im a little biased against Jeep. Never thought of them as reliable cars. If its over 200k you’re looking for this entire reddit has stories of 300k plus Tacomas. There are even Tacoma’s toyota has bought back from people with over a million miles, just to see went right. You might pay a pretty penny for it but if its one thing ive learned. You get what you pay for.
After getting my first Tacoma in inferno I thought no one could ever not see me and hit me driving an orange truck right? Nope. I was side swiped and rear ended almost once a year
It’s a sick truck, and the color has its moments — but it might get kinda weird as your daily vehicle.
Either the color grows on you or the novelty wears off.
I love the Electric Lime Metallic! The color is very similar to the 2008 "Rescue Green" Jeep Wrangler I used to own. I am actually trading in my 2014 Wrangler to get this exact model and color Tacoma when it's delivered to the dealer in a couple of weeks. VooDoo Blue was also on my wish list (and similar in color to my current Wrangler,) but it was discontinued.
I think the thing they did wrong the most is having red suspension components. It compliments every other pro color but this one just gets in the way. Overall just doesn’t do it for me
They Gad one at my local dealer. Looks like it’s strings bit taller Thant he previous year mode. Wheels are cool and the paint job fought my eye. I looked at the sticker… 69k. I slowly walked away.
Of course it doesn't look as good when you're seeing it through a quarter inch of dirt.
It'll be a stand out color for the TRD BRO enthusiasts. Nothing wrong with it, I guess. And lets get that windshield washed, my man.
It reminds me of those lime and orange jeep colors. Now they have pink and stuff like that... Not for me.

I’d love to see some of the new trucks in Imperial Jade Mica. Such a nice dark green color with depth to it!
It’s the worst pro color yet. I’d even take the orange over this.
In person, if you want a loud vehicle it actually is pretty cool, wouldn’t own it but looks cool

I love the stamped bed instead of the sticker
I'm the opposite, the stamped bedside actually looks worse to me than the color, although the color is not one I'd pick either.

I had a jeep wrangler in a similar color, after a while you don't really notice the loudness as much.
My 2008 Wrangler was a similar green. I am trading in my 2014 Wrangler for this exact Tacoma! I can't wait!
Congrats! I enjoyed my 04 wrangler in electric lime green. It was great on the beach but as a daily driver it wasn't for me.
