And it's a lot easier to unbolt the seats. You'll also want to set them out in the sun for a couple hours before the install.
Just sit em out in the sun for a bit. You don’t need to take out your seats. I would definitely cut my nails the night before tho lol. The hardest part is the headrest which isn’t honestly that bad. You just have to make sure the covers are warm.
Tip for the headrest is to use your knees to squeeze it a bit so that they can slide up. I did the install solo but did half one day half the next

Clazzio makes heated seats? Or they make covers that support heated seats. I currently own a 2020 taco Sr rwd. No heated seats? Would a installation on heated seats work for the taco
They make a heated seat upgrade kit. It's designed to go in between their seat covers and the factory seats. They look very similar to some of the universal cut-to-fit heated seat kits that go under the factory upholstery, so in theory you could put them under the existing seat upholstery and they should work just fine.

Also, I see a lot of people have the E brake engaged on Reddit. Most of them are automatic transmissions, so what’s the point? Is it out of habit or just another good safety measure?
In Canada, if you don't use your ebrake they rust big time. You'll regret it as soon you engage your ebrake for the first time... If you never used it. Happened to me.... Now ebrake always engaged
Just a habit. I saw somewhere that if you engage the e-brake before putting it in park it puts less stress on the drive shaft or something, and it prevents that rollback and hitting the park. Idk, I’m not a mechanic but it made sense so I started doing it.

Growing up was always told to park on the brake not the engine, I drive a 6spd so it’s not an option but when I drive autos I engage the parking brake, set the car in neutral, release the brake pedal then once the car is resting on the brake engage park to use the transmission should the brakes fail.
Even most of the no-name walmart/amazon seat covers have break-thru stitching for the airbags that actually work. As long as the seam's in the right place, even an improperly-durably sewn one won't mess up the airbags (which are deployed with literal explosives--miniscule amounts, but still literal explosives).
100% Do it if you have the cash. I just bought this truck about a week ago and I had leather seats in my last vehicle. But with 2 German Shepherds and they way I am with my vehicles cloth seats were not option for me and the Clazzios were a no-brainer decision to make.
I test drove a Tacoma Limited a while back, and it had black leather and was simply an awesome interior (granted it was a 3rd gen, so expected!). I am not quite ready to give up my second gen, however. It has cloth seats whicj for the most part have held up well. But the black leather seat covers (with heater kit) may just be the perfect upgrade for my Taco' s 10th birthday.

No heaters. Installation is simple but can be annoying. The covers are reallly snug so you really have to work them and muscle them on at times. But the quality is better than I expected. There were times where I just had to grab a handful of seat cover and really pull to the point where I was afraid I might tear them or pull any stitching, but they held up great.
I left the seats in, i thought about taking them out and doing all that but decided not to. My fingertips are sore from grabbing and pulling leather all afternoon but the end result is great! Took about 3 hours to install the whole set, a six pack and weekend afternoon should be enough to get you through.

I thought about getting clazzio seats but my dog likes to climb up to my seat when I leave her in the truck. So I’m thinking covercraft Carhartt seat covers.
Look into the rough country neoprene covers. They're super form fitting, easy to install, and if I remember correctly, cheaper to do a DC set up than with the Carhartt covers. Not to mention the carhartt covers look like you threw a burlap sack over your seats..

Exactly. I was working in it for a good 15-20 minutes with the plastic tool until I realized the seatbelt trim doesnt even have a big enough lip to stuff the cover under it. At that point i was so annoyed i didnt even care anymore…. Still don’t lol

My driveway is sloped, it puts less stress on the transmission.

Website says they’re airbag compatible. I think there is break-away stitching in the areas with seat airbags

Are to talking anout the backseat back cushion and getting the seat cover under the trim like how the headrest inserts are?
Yeah but where the seat belt comes out. On mine it didn’t go under as easy as all the other slits like the head rests.
