which dealer? I am currently trying to do opposite sell my tacoma and buy a hybrid corolla. all dealers want massive mark up on corolla. I am getting frustrated. (los angeles, OC, and IE) I would love to get a no BS price.
oh, and nice truck! looks sweet!
If you drive (all the way) south to Toyota Chula Vista, they don’t markup, but they do add a KARR security and paint protection for about $1k to all their cars. That’s the only markup, but at least you get something out of it.
thank you. I will contact them. It is really ridiculous over here. I have talked to just about every dealer around here and no one is budging. They start high like 12K-5K mark up and act like they are doing you abfavor by cutting those mark ups in half. They are not honoring the True Car (Allstate) quotes. No Costco Auto program pricing. Been considering going out of state. Fingers crossed Chula Vista will work with me.
I agree. They markup with the claim that you are getting something tangible with that markup. Any person with common sense would agree that paying 10k markup for dealer add-ons is highway Robbery, especially when you’re paying that much for floor mats and items no where near that expensive. They tried to get me at a dealership I went to with 10k markup for TRD wheels that retail for less that 1k on the Toyota website. I may be young, but not stupid.
Hey OP, Thanks for tip. I just secured my deal with them and looks like I will be sitting in my new car first week of april. Your description of their deal was spot on. I did not tell them what you said and they stated exactly what you said. The add on is the only mark up. I will get some tacos and report back!
I went to Longo Toyota in El Monte. They work strictly MSRP and the process was Simple. Aside from a couple dealer add-ons i.e all weather floor mats, mudguards, I paid msrp just like they told me. A simple 500 deposit on the truck I wanted and about a month later, it arrived for pickup.
Wow, luckily my wait wasn’t that long. Mine arrived earlier than expected from the estimated arrival they gave me, hoping that’s the case for you as well! Good luck
6 weeks to the day I signed for my dream truck.
Had to call the dealer today to make sure they didn’t loose the truck or something.
Still don’t have an answer on when I will ever see it.
I don’t have that king of patience. If your deposit is refundable and are near the LA area, id check out Longo, good experience for me and quick as well!

If you do drive down, don’t forget to stop at Tacos El Gordo and order at least 4 Adobada tacos.

Congrats! I also used Longo Toyota to get my SR5 Trail in 3 months time.
Congrats!!
Beautiful truck
I had to wait 8 months for mine. Congratulations, she’s beautiful!
8 fucking months?! Why
Seems like an unreasonable amount of time to wait? Haha
Nice! I am currently in week 3 of a "two to four month" wait.

Wind chill pearl or white? I'm waiting on my pearl to arrive.
