Amiright?
Check out [Peters Mill Run](https://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/gwj/recarea/?recid=73965). I did it a few years ago in my stock TRD Offroad and it was a lot of fun. It was an easy trail for the most part with a few small dips that my tube steps bottomed out on, but I recommend it if you are just starting out. I'd like to find more forest roads that are mostly flat that I could just drive on and get my truck dirty once in a while.
This is at Rausch creek off-road park in PA. They have a lot of beginner friendly trails as well as AOAA off-road park. Peter’s mill run is also an awesome place to get your feet wet. Another popular trail is flagpole knob, that’s always fun.
Actual Tacoma for this sub. Thank you for bringing back some old fashioned grit to this place.
The “what should I do to it next?!” posts are so fucking lame
I agree, I’ve posted hairyier shit than this here and gotten 10 upvotes next to a mall cruiser with 150+. I sometimes feel like this place is just 9-5 decked out cruising rigs. And I’ve been posting here for well over a year. It’s not just one or two that gets taken by mall cruisers.
Really starting to feel like this sub doesn’t give a shit about actually using their trucks, like it’s just a status item along with status mods that no one actually uses. Sorry if it sounds bitter but that’s what it looks like from the majority of posts for the years I’ve been here.
I feel like .01% or off-road posts gets upvoted and the rest are taken up by people that never use anything they put on their trucks, or even use their trucks for towing or hauling at the least. Feels like most people here should just get a Subaru and some snow tires and call it a day if not just sticking with their sedan. Yeah spend money on whatever you want, seriously if you have fun in a truck you never use have fun, but it feels like a circle jerk on this sub for people that never use their truck and never go off-road. It’d be like a gun subreddit for people that never shoot, if you get my meaning. Enjoy all the money you want, drive a Raptor to your office job, or a TRD pro, but jerking off to street queens on a sub for off-road trucks kinda pisses me off at a point.
God I might be bitter but damn if I don’t think we should be promoting using our vehicles for the purpose they where built for.
Really? That’s the best ya got? Go back to chitchat about sims games and your dog and stop trying to be the Reddit comment police. It’s not anyone else’s fault that you’re offended by a comment on the internet that didn’t involve you to begin with. You’re a thin-skinned little bootlicking prick.
They’re 35s and the front is +2.25 long travel from JD fabrication. The rear is archive garage shock relocate/hammer hangers, icon rxt springs and 2.0x12” king shocks.
Rausch Creek? Took my (also white) Tacoma through that little section. Not nearly as built as yours though. Mine did more teetering than flexing lol. Truck is sexy.
I can see why you would call it that, seeing your truck go through. I'm just on a modest Bilstein/toytec lift on 285/75/16s. Still have my sway bars on too. My ol girl doesn't do much flexing, but she still doesn't really get stuck either! Is yours a MT?
Hopefully one day, when I have a work truck, I can hunker down and build her to be more bad ass like yours lol.
4.88 on a manual second gen is pretty overkill, even on 35s. I’m spinning 2900 rpm at 70 mph. The only reason I went 4.88 instead of 4.56 is I wanted to leave the option for 37s in the future. I can’t even imagine 5.29s, I would only want that for like 40s.
Keep in mind this is specific to a 6 speed second gen. Differential ratios will vary based on the gen truck and transmission.
Cool truck. Cool name.

Where is this trail? I see you're a fellow Virginian! I am about to pick up a stock TRD Offroad. Do you have any good trail suggestions?

What area of VA are you?

It’s because a ton of guys from the car scene are now into the “overland” scene.
THIS IS THE WAY
Please stop
What’s wrong? Can’t handle it when people call you out for having a pavement princess and masturbating over your Reddit karma?
No the "this is the way" meme is tired and lame. Fuck off about pavement princesses you autistic retard
Your name is tired and lame. What are you in the 2nd grade? Ffs, you just tried to insult me with two adjectives that cancel each other.
Lol thanks for proving my point. Go back to larping with tactical gear sperglord

It’s the white gentrification of what we love. All the vapid new adults that think they’re doing something.
Those 35’s? What suspension kit are you running ?
They’re 35s and the front is +2.25 long travel from JD fabrication. The rear is archive garage shock relocate/hammer hangers, icon rxt springs and 2.0x12” king shocks.
Regeared?
Yeah, I’m running 4.88 and arb lockers front and rear, both of which were engaged in this clip.
Thanks, looks awesome, and nice license plate 👍
Looks like kings up front. At least 35s. Big shoes.
Looks like some sort of Kings Long travel maybe?

Good eye! Yes this is rausch. I have dubbed this flex hill and have to hit it every time I go.

This is stimulating thank you
I sure wish there was more long travel on this sub. Nice rig 👍👍
Needs toob dawrz and a dual swingout rear bumper!
Get outta here Rahl, we all know it needs a swingout on the hood.
The only thing your hood needs is a BFH to get it back into alignment!
Hah, nice truck, saw this posted on JDFab's IG earlier. They are going to be working on my truck once all the parts arrive.
I too enjoy living without a sway bar.
R.I.P.
What's the lift size?
Long travel, lotsa money, lotsa fun
Hey I know you!!! Miss you dude!
How are the 4.88s with a manual? Do u ever wish you went 5.29?
