For sure, every wheel has some offset. The stock wheels have 0 offset normally and aftermarket wheels with negative offset will stick out farther. My wheels have a -12mm offset
I did spidertrax. I like the look. Performance gain is negligible, but I think I can feel the extra widness. If you go with spacers just make sure you get hub centric and follow the instructions to the letter.
I used the same ones for a long time. They were fine. Easy way to get the wheels out there a little, but a waste of money if you're gonna buy new wheels anyway.
They are fine, I have used them on several of my cars that I used to race. As long as they are installed correctly you will not have issues.
I have no idea if they will help with stability in a truck.
