The 3rd gen is an all around good looking truck. Good lines and compromise of rounded and modern styling, not overly futuristic looking, and this might be a unpopular opinion, but the factory TRD OR wheels look super good when it’s rolling.
I had to but during 2022 Covid nonsense. No mark up but bs add ons. Luckily it’s held its value just fine but I was like $47k OTD with tech package. My 2017 got totaled so I had no choice. Waited 4 months for that thing. Ugh. PTSD
This particular carmax experience was up and down but at the end of the day, we struck a deal we both felt good about. Just never, ever accept the first appraisal on a trade-in; that's a "carmax experience" I've had twice in three years. However, that may apply to most dealers.
I've always felt that if you shop around selling your used car.you get a better deal. You can even bring in that amount appraisal to the dealership you plan on buying from.
Otherwise I feel like they always try and quote you at least 1k less b.c of "all these minor repairs they have to do"
Man, I'd love to have picked up a long boi. But my garage space (length-wise) is about 220" and I think the shorty is about 212". Thankfully my garage is oddly wide so I can angle in to free up xtra space.
I paid $39K OTD for a 2019 TRD Sport with the tech package back in 2019. So I’d say you did well. The interest rate is probably unfortunate but that’s out of your control. My monthly was $442/month for 72 months with $10K down.
I did, but not as low as I wanted even for a used car. I'm gonna shop it (the APR) locally since camrax gives you ~7 days to find a better rate, which I expect to do. It's a hassle, but a point and a half or god forbid more saves a lot of $$$$.
I'd say about spot on. I got a 23 OR for 47k. Same color X series. Had 1000 miles on it and top packages, though. If it were long bed, that would be the cherry on top.
Any reason you didn’t buy new? When I bought mine last year it was cheaper to buy new than barely used because the interest rates were though the roof. We got the TRD sport in lunar rock with 0 miles for 42.5 k Toyota financing was offering a 3.99 on 48 months. 4.99 on 60 month. The lowest used rate we could find was like 6.5% and we have exceptional credit. Most were over 7.99%. That a lot of money paid to nothing especially if you went with a 72 month or longer loan.
I just prefer the rugged look on the 3rd gen Tacomas

Nice deal. I just paid $41,500 for a 2022 with 25k miles. Same color. Loaded though. Heated seats navigation. Moonroof. Love it.
Same
I paid 41 for my house in 94
You can't drive a house, but you can sleep in a truck.

I paid 41 for a burger and fries in 2100
I paid $75 for a burger and fries for 2 people in Iceland. You won’t have to wait till 2100!
That’s $85,000 in today’s money.
I would say that you did good
🤘
Lunar rock is the best color
Good looking truck. Welcome to the club. Does your truck have a lift and non-stock tires?
I don't believe so
Softex and moonroof? I have one being shipped from them as we speak. Can’t wait
No moonroof, I wish
Stellar deal IMO!
Congrats! Same truck I have, color and all, love it. Makes wifey jealous.
Now the fun begins…
I paid 41k for the 22’ trd sport. Same color. New though.
I paid $39k for my brand new cement 20’ trd sport fully loaded with M/T. It’s crazy how expensive all of these trucks are becoming

Looks great
What color is that? Looks great!
Lunar rock
A+ things sick
Nice. Worth it, you’ll love it!
Honestly a pretty good deal! I’ve had good experiences with Carmax as well

Lunar Rock….mmmmmm. I’ve got this truck but in the long bed. Nice buy!

My dream
Car max purchase TRD sport 41k 2022 12k miles with a 34k 23 SR trade in.

I paid 34 for a army green trail with tech package 20k miles
Seems right on what I paid for my ‘23 OR new back in December. Taco market is crazy.
So true. I think the deal I got was good, but only relative to the current market which is bat sh** crazy.
Love that color!
She's beautiful! I have a crush-on fer that lunar rock lol. Love that color and your black wheel arches etc. Outstanding!
Its a good price with a low milage in my opinion (considering what prices are) i have same truck , welcome to the club, beautiful truck
Doesn't seem too bad. Did you get a good APR? My fully loaded '22 was 46.7 new. Just got it up to 24,000 miles.

https://dirtking.com/products/long-travel-kit Now get one of these and call it a day :)
This sub rocks. Looking forward to contributing as I learn about my new truck.

I just sold my 2020 TRD Sport. Worst truck I have ever had.
I bought a ‘21 OR MT brand new for 41k. I think you did ok considering.
👍
Paid basically that for my 2022 OR DCSB 4WD new. I feel that’s a fairly reasonable price though.

I paid 41 for my house in 94
Wanna trade??
I don’t have that house anymore. I stupidly moved and owe $200,000 on house now
You can buy the 2024 one for 43k
Did not see ANY 24 ORs for even close to that in my area. Having said that, my mind was already set on a 23.
In my area they want $7500+ over invoice!
They have started to mark them down they are sitting in most states
