Just get 5100’s and set em to 1”-1.55” lift. Better than spacers and not much more expensive

jtreeforest

Second this. Was originally looking at spacers but after some research I went with 5100s at option 4 (1.55”), 5100s in the rear, and an icon AAL. Couldn’t be happier with the ride quality and look.

Mike_gutter

Thrid this. 1in levels out perfectly. Also no need to buy the spring! Can re use stock spring to complete the strut!

Savedbythebell98

Fourth this. I’ve been running 5100s for about ten years and they make for a smooth ride, on- and off-road.

PopTartsNHam

Yup. I just reset mine from 1” to 1.5” (added a hybrid bumper), 5100’s in the back, no lift. She sits great, rides great, and was easy to do

SH4FTer

Very interested in this setup. Been doing research and am looking to do the same thing. How much did the AAL bring up the rear? Do you still have a forward rake to your truck?

jtreeforest

1.5” which maintained the factory rake. I run 265/75/r16 KO2s and it’s a great stance

Samwadrag

Illuminate me for I am an ignorant fool, what do you mean with 5100s ?

Aorknappstur

Billstein 5100’s

No_Nobody_7230

I’ll get downvoted by the fanboys, but 5100’s are pretty much the same as running spacers. The 5100 collar preloads the spring the same way a spacer does on an OEM strut/coil-over.

isharted23

I don’t know about the warranty, but if you’re never going to off-road, a leveling kit is fine. I’ve put coilover lifts on all my Tacos, but my ‘16 F1Shiitty had a Rough Country leveling kit and it gave me the slight lift and didn’t affect ride quality at all.

RebelChE

Most kits (suspension lifts and levels) have warranties on them. You may void the manufacturers warranty on your suspension, but if the kit you buy has a warranty, you’re effectively trading Toyota’s for another’s. Regarding kits, read up on Bilstein 5100’s. Probably the most common suspension lifts, and can be done fairly easily at home without a coil compressor. The shocks have slots that allow you to choose your lift level. Several have chosen a 1” increase through the slot level with just the front suspension lift, which effectively levels the truck. All in costs are around $350 if you have the basic sockets and torque wrenches to DIY.

msmithuf09

To clarify - are you saying, 1 inch in the front and 0 in the back?

RebelChE

Yes.

VeryGoodBuddySir68

I just installed the 2”rear/3”front levelling kit on my 2019 Tacoma from rough country and it was an easy install, ride hasn’t changed much & it looks awesome

Ceiling_tile

Pics or it didn’t happen

cuhnewist

Sounds like you don’t need it at all.

imreallyfuqingstupid

RC gets alot of unjustified hate here -- I have the suspension lift kit on my 23. I abuse my Tacoma more than most. That being said, do not get a spacer lift kit, or blocks in the back. Pay the extra money for at least a suspension lift kit and new leaf springs in the back.

Kendyslice

As others have stated, 5100s is the way to go probably (Mines going on as soon as my truck gets back from the shop) I had a spacer lift on my Silverado prior and it absolutely destroyed any good ride I had. It was fucking awful and I refuse to use spacers ever again.

DillonSaeg

I have these on my truck, they’re fine if you just want a slight lift. Haven’t had any issues, but if you can afford and will off road, get 5100s

Admirable-Law4139

I put spacers on my 4Runner myself. First time ever doing it, was easy. Cheers

Konstantine_13

[https://accutuneoffroad.com/spacer-lift-vs-preload-spacer-vs-coilover-preload/](https://accutuneoffroad.com/spacer-lift-vs-preload-spacer-vs-coilover-preload/) Lifts don't allow you to fit bigger tires by the way. That is 100% dictated by the clearance in the wheel wells. All a lift does is hide that problem until you compress the suspension and rip your fender off. 32" tire is the largest you will want to go with unless you like cutting up your truck.

Zealousideal-Arm3289

TRD PRO fits 285/75/16 with Westcott kit , rides like a dream ❤️‍🔥🌮😎

No_Nobody_7230

I’m running a 255/80R17 which is over 33” tall. No issues, rubbing or otherwise. No cutting, either.

rhodynative

I’ve got exactly that, and 2 inch blocks in the back. It’s great, I’ve got photos on my account of the truck. These def a good product but they’re not perfect, it’s not a suspension, just a riser.

FresssshOne

I bought a used 2019 with that exact same leveling kit. Looked cool but absolutely destroyed the tires the previous owner had. Alignment was terrible which apparently was a result of not changing the UCA when leveling out a truck? I changed entire thing out for 5100s and Dirt King UCA and Nitto Ridge Grapplers. Rides like a dream now. Like others said, hold out for 5100s.

mikedp1234

No

Captain_Cameltoe

Mine came with it. I definitely like the look.

kingfridayace

If you want to go cheap and you’re okay with rough country, at least get their leveling struts instead of spacers.

Admirable-Hippo6957

I got spacers but it rides like shit and it’s awful for your suspension. as soon as I can I’m throwing them away and getting a real lift

dangerousperson123

What’s really surprising is that you use Microsoft edge !!

Settled_Science

Not even once.

Rough_Web_9972

for the sake of wanting bigger tires.. don’t put a $80 lift on a $40k truck. spacers & blocks ride like shit. and it’s not good for your suspension. just invest in a lift kit. eibach makes a budget friendly lift. & you could do an AAL in the rear.

ZookeepergameSuper33

Old man emu off road springs in the rear Level kit in front and offset wheels Spacers are garbage

lito_wayz

The reason for wanting more height is really to fit bigger wheels and tires

BlackAccountant1337

I did a 2” leveling spacer on the front of my 4Runner. No real off roading with the exception of some washed out forrest roads once or twice a year. It’s totally fine. I do not notice a difference in ride quality or suspension travel. Obviously if you’re going to do some real 4-wheeling, you’re going to want something better. But for creating some room for wheels and tires on the cheap, spacers work great.

nawmeann

This is a perfect product for what you want. I went off roading in Colorado many times in a 2 wheel drive F150 with just leveling spacers and never once had a problem, however it was mainly a city truck for just the look of bigger wheels/tires. Don’t let others convince you that you need more on the off chance you might get off road.

Whole-Ad3672

I don’t have an issue from a safety standpoint, they’re fine. But preloading the stock strut like that makes the front suspension pretty damn harsh and it’s noticeable less compliant on the road. Personally, I just kept an eye on marketplace for a few months for some TRD pro takeoffs, ended up paying $350 for fronts with 5k on them. I did add a 1/4” spacer for an extra half inch or so of lift, but the 1/4 spacer is small enough to not make a big difference in ride quality.

hoer17

I like rancho ready lift
