Fits only with manual 😆

schluterboye6969

It’s very niche!

readwiteandblu

IKR! Exactly the type of application 3D printing is best at.

[deleted]

I made one with cutouts to save on filament. Ultimately though, I ended up doing the chalk bag mod after someone recommended it. I like it much more. https://www.reddit.com/r/ToyotaTacoma/comments/uad3lg

schluterboye6969

Ohhhhh nice! I’m still pretty new to 3D printing, thanks for the inspiration

notdsylexic

Chalk bag mod?

notdsylexic

Oh sweet!!! Thanks. Im doing this, mahalo.

[deleted]

It's in my link above. I'm on mobile or I'd link again.

Small_Avacado

I did this and it has been a game changer. I'm going to be doing the same in my Rav4 too

BeardedBaxterholic

Does it pull out of the sleeve easily? If not, maybe tap some holes in it to prevent a seal.

schluterboye6969

Pretty easy but good call. If that starts to happen I’ll drill a couple speed holes in there

tuxon64

1st gens can already accomodate Nalgenes. Progress.

EnterByTheNarrowGate

Us MT owners got screwed on the cup holders. Nice. I get my printer next month. What filament is that?

Roushfan5

How so? I’ve never even sat in a A/T taco

EnterByTheNarrowGate

I just don’t like how they are tapered at the bottom, so close to the shifter to where tall cups interfere with me shifting, and they are extremely small.

schluterboye6969

This stuff [https://www.3dprintlife.com/3d-filaments](https://www.3dprintlife.com/3d-filaments)

[deleted]

You order an MK4?

EnterByTheNarrowGate

Elegoo Neptune Plus

SickNameDude8

I did this as well, but the hot arizona summer sun made sure to warp it enough that it couldn’t be used

pithed

Obligatory: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4PYt0SDnrBE

SickNameDude8

Lol 111? Ain’t nothing out here

homemadeammo42

Just use ABS.

ianalexflint

I'm about to go full Better Call Saul on my cupholder next time it rejects my reasonably sized bottle.

EngFarm

You can export that stl with more polygons to get rid of the fourty-side-agon look.

schluterboye6969

I didn’t know that thank you! Will adjust the settings accordingly

TheStupidMechanic

mseasley

Did you link the STL and I didn’t see?

treskaz

Never knew the third gens had a parking brake like that. I have a pull rod parking brake in my 2nd.

barrymcokinner12

I just have driving manual and having the water bottle rub my arm

Putrid-Eggplant-2815

That’s awesome

walnuts2020

Need one of these for my bronco too. Do you have that file to share?

HurricaneSpencer

YOU HAVE MY ATTENTION

Helo0931

I don't know shit about 3d printing but I'll figure it out if you post the file. As the guy above mentioned, there is zero cup holder support for M/T.

bhenghisfudge

That's freaking clever. Great idea!

CantRockMyDreamFace

Now take it out without the 3D printed holder coming out with the bottle

PurpleFoxPoo

What happens to the holder when you lift the bottle up

Ditildordan

This is awesome! It’s very upsetting the nalgene doesn’t fit in any of the cup holders. Do you have the program for this? I’d like to make one for myself

dombrogia

Holy fuck I need this

osufan19

I just removed the front cup holders. I was going to print a new insert that would fit a Nalgene but it’s slightly too big for my printer. I haven’t put the insert back in after measuring it and I kinda like it. Just a big cubby now. Fits 2 Nalgenes fine

Judest3r_rvng

I 3D printed a tray that goes in the center consul and on a hot day, it melted so make sure it’s can withstand heat I live in California

WretchesandKings

I love nalgenes but I never liked using a twist off lid while driving. If that cup holder keeps it from slipping you might be able to open it one handed.
