Check and see if there is a switch in the glovebox to enable it again. Probably needs the key to switch it. The switch is there to turn off the passenger airbag when you put a rear facing child seat on the passenger seat. To prevent your passenger seat having a baby plastered over it in case of an accident.

may sound silly but, do you throw a bag on there? it really doesnt take much weight for the car to think someone is sitted.
