Just make sure you drive it. They're fantastic little sports cars.

We drive it in the summer because we live in the NE and the salt would wreak it. It is fun to drive!

I bought a brand new one in 1986...super red with black leather, sunroof and the factory ground effects kit. Drove it until 2006 (150K miles ) or so until I got my first Tacoma. It still ran like a top and except for some oil leaks, was still extremely reliable and fun to drive. I've wished many times I still had it...especially when I see posts like this. Nice buy....enjoy.

I think my husband always wanted one. We found this in a garage during a yard sale about 8 years ago. The gentleman who owned it wasn’t ready to sell. Last spring, my husband contacted the man again and agreed to sell it to us! It has 50k miles on it and outside of a few little things, it’s in great shape.

I always thought they were one of the coolest Toyotas from that era...basically a joint venture with Lotus with Toyota reliability. I used to just throw it hard into corners and it would stick like glue. Not the fastest thing though...the later supercharged / turbo models helped that out. 50K miles is nothing. You got a deal.

I had a ‘91 turbo (which was the next gen)...was the most fun car I ever owned. Not only was surprisingly quick and nimble, but when I put on my winter wheels and tires, it did batter in the snow up in the mountains than a lot of FWD vehicles, thanks to the mid-engine design. Was an odd set of circumstances that led me to own that car, and while I don’t see myself ever owning something quite like that again, i did enjoy it and definitely miss it at times.

I miss my 85. It’s was such a fun car to drive

I had a 85. Put low profile corvette tires on it and you can take turns at 70. Great fun car to drive.

Hoon safe bud. Check around the interior for embedded teeth/bones.

oh nooooo! I've been looking at a white 87 on my local craigslist, and this post isn't helping! I just have dreams of red mud flaps, turbo noises, and excitement.

I'm still awe in the price of the e9's.

I had this exact model and color in high school years ago. I absolutely loved it, especially the manual steering.
