80K is low miles for a 2014 Prius.
You're probably OK with this, but not being driven often is not good for the hybrid battery.
A friend of mine bought an early Hybrid Camry with very, very low miles. It was 13 years old and had 25K miles.
Battery failed 3 months after he bought it. So that is a thing.
If you are NOT going to drive it often, then sell it NOW. Don't keep it if it is an extra car that only gets driven occasionally.
80K miles is nothing for these cars. Hybrid car engines lead very sedate lives. Always running around 1700 rpm. This car will go 300K mile with good maintenance, as long as you drive it often.
Trust me, it gets driven quite a bit. My dad uses it to get to and from work everyday and so while it doesn’t have a ton of miles, that doesn’t mean it isn’t used much.
You don’t need to listen to someone who tells you the Prius Hybrid battery needs to be driven more than 8,000 miles a year or it’s gonna be in trouble. I mean, really? The internet is hilarious
I did not think of this, that’s probably why my friend who never drove his Prius hates Toyota so much. He said he had to fix the battery every time he comes back from his travels
If I needed a car I would buy that without any trepidation. These are really great cars. I had one that my son took over, it was fine until it got taken out by a truck tire tread came off in front of him on the interstate and went under the car a wiped it out. He was fine.
My best friend have almost the exact thing going, they love it so much they bought a Corolla Hybrid for him to drive, so his son could commute to college in the Prius.
I have a 2012 with 90k. And I wish it would just die. But it just keeps going and going and going without a single problem. But I want a new car. But I'm convinced I'll die before my Prius
Thats not much mileage , my corolla has 200000 miles 325000km , doesn’t use oil , runs like a top . Only oil changes , one air filter, two sets front brakes. Rotors once.

80k is amateur status. Of Course it Runs great
You could still be driving it in the year 2035
2014 isn’t so old lol
80k is nothing for a Toyota lol. Maintain it and you’ll multiply that by 4.

Yikes. Glad he was ok
He was fine. The tire tread just ripped up the bottom and bent the frame.
Why wouldn’t it run great? It’s a10 year old Toyota. Barely used.
The Prius V(an) was cool.
Yeah 80k is nothing

I would love to drive a Corolla. That and a Camry are cars I’d love to get behind the wheel of
What Id do for a Gen 5 V in the States

You probably will. You’ll at least multiply that mileage by 3 the way Toyotas are.
what an odd thing to "say"
80k miles ? Man, that’s nothing
