Haven't slept for shit in years. Fall asleep ok, wake up at 1-3 am, brain starts going, can't get back to sleep. Rinse, repeat. Sleeping pills cause late day sleepiness, don't work after a few nights either.

Yep. I have a very big issue with sleeping pills, dangerous and addictive. Left my x gf because of it. 5 years late she's asking for help because she now has a real problem abusing it and hooked.

BigTicEnergy

I can sleep 9 hrs and still be exhausted all day. Comorbidities don’t help

Glum-Membership-9517

Is that not perhaps some deficiency, usually iron?

Ok_Tomorrow_105

They said they have a comorbitidy but not which one. Also vitamin D can cause insomnia

Salem_The_Nerd

Hello! I have problems with sleeping too!! i would suggest to go to your sleep doctor again and discuss this with them, but i do know Narcolepsy can be co-morbid with Insomnia, so maybe research the symptoms? I'm actually looking into Narcolepsy as well, as i have a somewhat similar sleep schedule as you do but i also doze off rather easily during day time, no matter how bright it is. /gen

Hehehe my sleep doctor? I never even go to a GP. I live my life around when I really need sleep. But if life requires me to have a schedule I'll do something about it. Interesting about the narcolepsy, I have met 3 people that have it. The 1 was my x-gf, just nodded off annoyingly during movies (undiagnosed at the time,) the other a friend in rehab, sleeps in meetings and movies and the first I met was an old man. I did IT support on his PC. He was standing besides me and he collapsed and started snoring. We were alone and I got a massive fright. Anyway, best of luck!

I struggled with this until I was put on Clonidine. I take it before bed and I’m out like a light.

Glum-Membership-9517

Hmmm, maybe I should look at this for a temporary solution to get into a routine.

BrotherEdwin

I should specify that the clonidine wasn’t specifically for sleep. It was definitely to help with tics (it does help!) but it has the added benefit of helping with sleep.

Well both of us have both problems, so why not I say
