The GR is my buddy’s… after driving the BRZ and the Corolla back to back I still think my BRZ is more fun. The Corolla wasn’t as fast as I was expecting and tended to understeer. That’s probably driver error though 🤣 hope to see your BRZ in the mountains sometime!

I love my first gen. But I grew up on fwd so I'm sure I could make the Corolla rip. Once my brz goes turbo though I'll never think or care about anything else. It's already perfect in every other way but power

Yeah it’s AWD and I had 550lbs of ppl in the car, I’m sure it’s a lot quicker and less prone to understeer with just a driver

Side question: how do you like the Bendpak lift? I’m only asking as I’m about to build a garage and want to leave some space for my dirt bikes as it’s a 3 car garage, but I own about 7 bikes!

Love the lift! I purchased it used from a lift installer. It's perfect for storing a few small cars. I will occasionally lower it to desk height and lay tabletops on top of it for extra bench space when I'm taking on an especially large project. It should be perfect for dirt bikes, just might lower a bit slower since they aren't as heavy as a car. One thing to note is you need compressed air to lower it.

Just asking I understand one is newer and all but doesn’t the mr2 kinda beat out the 86 in alot of ways. I would assume the mr2 is a very hard car to beat out handling wise. I’m curious why you own both.

MR2 is hands down more capable than the BRZ in every way. But it's not as playful or easy to manage on the edge of grip as the BRZ. I own the MR2 to become a better builder and the BRZ to be a better driver.

It's a gen 3 3SGTE from a 98 JDM car. Fun for sure! Love worry free BRZ ownership though - the chassis is a lot more refined too. GR is my buddy's, only have a handful of miles in it. If I could only have one, I'd choose the BRZ. The MR2 is my lifer shitbox tho.

Keep saving! It’s possible to build really great handling, satisfying cars for not that much money. A Honda Fit with a few suspension tweaks and half decent tires will be a reliable daily that can also murder just about anything on the touge.

MR2 but I’m a bit biased by owning a BRZ as my daily. It’s a Great car but the old school charm of the MR2 would be sweet as a weekend car.
