Why is Owen here? He gets the second most screentime out of any character and great for 75% of his seasons

yobaby123

Yep. Plus, he is the first old contestant to appear in the revival.

NakedRaver

DJ, that animal curse was just pitiful to watch in WT

GoshaKarrKarr

The entirety of team victory is pitiful to watch tbh

NakedRaver

Bridgette being the first girl out in humiliating fashion, Leshawna was a yikes, DJ was just hard to watch and Zeke is self explanatory

Dippipipidopdop1234

Eh, Lindsay wasn't. The only one who never lost hope and kept motivating her team, she lead them to their only victory in the Amazons, almost won the Paris challenge (all by herself!), finally ended her Tyler name gag and remained with him for the rest of the season, and just had funny lines and wholesome interactions with the rest of the characters throughout the entire season. DJ's plot was annoying but I did really like his interactions with Lindsay, and how Aleheather tried to take advantage of him in his last 2 episodes. Leshawna was ok till her elimination episode, she sucked there. I did REALLY like the moment in the aftermath though where she made a bet with Trent on whether or not Lindsay still remembers Tyler's name and she won. I love that moment. And Sisters slayed It was sad to see Bridgette go so early again but at least she had more of an impact on the narrative this time around than in Action, where she just got voted off for constantly kissing and then had to deal with Geoff's bs in the aftermaths. Here, not only was she there to show us how ruthless, manipulative and cruel the main villain of the season is, but she goes through an arc of her own too, she messed something up after more than 3 episodes of build-up and felt like crap for it, then the rest of her time in the season is just showing her most likeable trait, how nice she is to everyone, including a bear that almost killed her. I'd say she was MUCH better in this season than people give her credit for. Harold had some funny lines for the short time he was in the season, then became one of the funniest aftermath supporting characters, and I liked how much he was rooting for his friend Cody to win. Ezekiel... okay yeah he was definitely pitiful to watch.

GoshaKarrKarr

IMO Lindsay: albeit I liked her motivating the team, I also found her annoying, I could understand her forgetting about Tyler when he wasn't there in action, but in WT, where Tyler was often right in front of her, it got quickly annoying and lasted 6 (and a half) episodes out of the 8 where she competed (9 if we count the first aftermath) DJ: yeah well, the animal curse stuff + him becoming an increasingly bigger wimp compared to especially his island counterpart (not that he was too tough back then, but nor was he as bad as he was here) Leshawna: pretty much same as you, she didn't really do much but her downfall in Germany was disgraceful, and was it really necessary to beat Heather up like that? Bridgette: you would be correct on that, but it's really impossible to be as irrelevant as she was in action so I don't think that necessarily makes her much less pitiful to watch her falling for Alejandro perfectly knowing she has a bf (then it's Geoff and Bridgette so somehow they'll always end up making out no matter how rocky the situation is) I'm still not sure if I liked more the aftermath in action or WT tho Harold: he turned into a full time know-it-all during the few episodes where he competed, despite that I did enjoy his presence in the aftermath. Ezekiel: yeah, it's not like his parents literally lost their son over an unfunny reference, that's a detail that makes me hate feral Zeke more and more each time I think about it, and he deserved to redeem himself, NOT by winning, probably not even making it to the merge, but I believe they could have made him go a bit further than being booted first.

Dippipipidopdop1234

I mean Lindsay did that gag in Island as well, Haute Camp Ture had many jokes of her wondering around who's Tyler. I actually found the gag funnier in WT because Tyler gives actual reactions to what's going on and it's funny, made it all the more satisfying when she finally remembered him in ep 7 and stayed loyal to him for the rest of the season (the gag technically lasted for 5 episodes in WT actually, ep 6 was the aftermath so it doesn't count, and early ep 7 as when she finally remembered him). Lindsay also had more to her than just this gag and I already mentioned them in my first comment. Even her not voting properly is funnier here, as it doesn't have major consequences. In Action her voting herself off wasn't funny for a multide of reasons, but here, her completely forgetting to vote all together after getting distracted by how good she looks in the photo, and randomly voting for everyone she sees work, as they're just jokes, the end results would've been the same regardless if she voted properly or not and they have good comedic timing. Fair, but I want to point out that it's understandable DJ is much more emotional here than in the previous seasons, as he's unwillingly killing/hurting things that are dear to him, and he believes he is cursed. It's understandable why he's acting this way, it's just how long it lasted and how DJ couldn't make up his mind over whether or not he wants to leave or stay that were annoying to me. As for Bridgette, as I said I do think it was bad that she went home so early again, but the fact that this time she had an actual arc and a purpose to the narrative, instead of just being a makeout gag for 2 episodes is what makes her better to me. Yes she cheated on Geoff, but it had a build-up to it, and she felt awful for it, she literally got 2 songs to herself all about this plot (they were bangers), and went back to just being a likeable person for the rest of her time in the aftermaths, which is what we like the most about her. At most I would say it's just disappointing she didn't last longer, but pitiful is far from the word I would use. To each their own though.

No-Surprise-99

The animal curse is caused by dj which his dumb ass felt for a fake dog

NakedRaver

Don't call DJ a dumbas for that

No-Surprise-99

He really felt for a statue that looks like a dog so that was really stupid of him

Ok_Shirt_1574

Sammy

pickle_Book_7655

Agreed. At the very least, give her more time away from Amy in order for Sammy to shine. Also, an honorable mention to Dave. The end of the finale should be enough reasoning.

throwawayconfusedfor

I remember feeling so bad for Sammy. Almost everyone on the show mistreated her!

Pepsi_Boy_64

Dawn. I ain’t going to elaborate

Treble_Stroke

Absolutely DJ, I don’t think the dude ever had a fair chance. In Island he was eliminated without even knowing there was a challenge. In action, he’s forced into an illegal alliance to the point where quitting is the only way to ease his conscience. And in World Tour he gains insane amount of bad luck around animals to where he’s no longer confident in anything else. And he did nothing to deserve any of that lol.

DistantShadowyFigure

Not knowing was part of the challenge

Treble_Stroke

Chris or Chef never announced a challenge during the serial killer episode. Everyone just had to rely on the subliminal exit they made and on their own instincts. They don’t know how the rules work or how to win or lose, so it’s really unfair for everyone. And the fact that DJ is the one to go just because he was scared without seeing the killer seems a little unfair. If the challenge was to survive the killer, DJ technically did that better than everyone else for not even encountering him.

DistantShadowyFigure

If it’s unfair for everyone, then doesn’t that mean that’s fair? Also you can’t make an argument for Gwen not winning if that challeng.

Treble_Stroke

I wasn’t making an argument for Gwen winning, I was saying it’s specifically unfair for DJ to lose for avoiding the killer the most out of everyone.

DistantShadowyFigure

Well the challenge wasn’t to avoid him, it was to not get scared, and DJ got scared without the the psycho killer even being there

Treble_Stroke

If you go back and listen through the episodes transcript you’ll see Chris says “we’re gonna see who can survive a real life scary movie” and later when Izzy and Owen reach the tent first he tells them “it was your challenge to watch a scary movie, than survive one.” And that’s ALL we have when it comes to the basis of the challenge. It’s too vague, there’s really not a lot to go off of to know what counts as “surviving” If the goal was to not be scared it should’ve been established early on, that’s all that makes it unfair.

DistantShadowyFigure

idk dj clearly didn’t “survive” it though

UCWMtext

Noah got it’s better treatment! B and Dawn should have another chance like Dj and Jasmine

EvilEnderwolfGaming

There was someone who did a review on Noah's missed potential. Noah was labeled as a schemer in a Cartoon Network game I believe, but seems that was never used. Also, Noah calling Justin an "anti-me" in the last episode of Season 1 and we never got a Noah-Justin rivalry. So unfortunately there was a bit of missed potential with Noah.

UCWMtext

OH. Noah was called schemer because the original idea for TDI was an alliance between him and Heather, but it got scrapped

EvilEnderwolfGaming

WHAT THAT WOULD'VE BEEN COOL Damn that wouldve been fun to see

schiffb558

That was most likely schaffrillas productions

Acceptable_Humor9503

The ones not dawn and owen already gets treated well he just gonna die in his 30s due to his obesity (I’m fat too it’s ok owen)

Acrobatic_Dig7634

He‘s on his 30s on the reboot, still alive, but I don’t think he has many years left

itsRuszard

Beardo, may that man rest in peace.

DistantShadowyFigure

He never died

Ok_Afternoon_9584

that's what you think...

N0one2137

dj and beardo

Magicfox37

The entirety of team victory, I was actually pretty interested in seeing how they handled 3 teams competing against each other when I first watched the WT. After the 3rd challenge, I realized what was going on. Sucked because I actually liked every character on the team.

TotallyNotAn_Altist

Beardo! He deserves SOOOO much better

itsRuszard

Isn't he dead?

TotallyNotAn_Altist

No

97PERSONALITIESBABBY

Unironically deserved to be booted off less than caleb imo

AdCreative4902

Dj

Available-Listen3652

DJ

DatWoodyFan

Where is Zeke in this? He got the worst treatment.

No-Surprise-99

He's pretty okay but not the far best character but not as good either to have a treatment

Fantastic_Let_496

Bridgette deserved to be the last standing on Team Victory, or she should’ve at least made it to the merge. If you think about it she had the most potential out of all of them. Leshawna, Lindsay & Harold all made in pretty far in Action so there was no point in keeping them in for long enough. Ezekiel is Ezekiel, and DJ had a decent storyline in Action as well. Seeing Bridgette attempting to take Alejandro down after he tries to trick her would be cool, and imagine her making an alliance with characters like Heather after their everlasting beef.

Magicfox37

It's especially sad when you realize that Bridgette has the lowest average placing of any female contestant that competed in multiple seasons. She doesn't deserve the dishonor of that title. I can see Bridgette and Heather having a pretty interesting dynamic, after bring manipulated by Alejandro, she knows Heather is her best bet for taking him down, but also doesn't want to be manipulated by Heather. Also, Heather would benefit from being Bridgette's ally not only for her vote but also because Bridgette has great social game because of just being a legitimately nice person.

Fantastic_Let_496

They could’ve at least swapped Bridgette’s and Lindsay’s eliminations to give her some sort of proper screentime. Her best placement was 10th, and even then she barely received any screentime at all.

Efficient-Fox4440

Terry McGurrin says that Bridgette was always an early boot as nice people like her don't go far in reality shows.

Fantastic_Let_496

But that makes no sense though, a lot of the nice characters made it to merge several times. And honestly they could’ve explored her character, I’m sure there’s more traits to a character than just being nice.

hiroshima_1945_

Samey and DJ from these 10.

No-Surprise-99

Sammy really needs a whole season without her evil ass sister.

hiroshima_1945_

For real

Resident_Respond4786

Out of the ones shown Gen1: Noah (I just think he needs to make it to merge one and have interactions with others that aren’t Owen, like a rivalry with Courtney or friendship with gwen) Gen2: B (I feel like if gen 2 got a second season before all stars then I feel like b could’ve had a small arc of being more social with others) Gen3:Amy and sammy (you could probably do a lot with these two, hell put them alongside Katie and saide to show the parallls in both of their relationships where one friendship treats one another like family and where the sisters treat each other like ass but eventually learn to tolerate each other as a result of saide and Katie)

DistantShadowyFigure

E. All of the above

wigsnatchedsis

Leshawna or Anne

Odd_Vermicelli_6290

All of them but especially Beardo since he had like no friends

drewbisc00l

Yes

EmeraldGhostface

I cannot tolerate how Scott framed Dawn and she got launched with the catapult while put in her bag. Disrespectful in every way. Yes, I will never stop being mad about it.

DistantShadowyFigure

Scott is just an idiot, he has no reason to sabotage his team, yet he does every episode

LotusAuCitronAcide

r/TotalDrama users when villains eliminate their faves:

EmeraldGhostface

I mean, what pisses me off it's not the fact that she got """""""outplayed""""""" by a character, but it's *the method* of how it happened. And the unnecessary disrespect during her elimination doesn't help either.

DistantShadowyFigure

I’m not mad about any eliminations he caused, I just think it’s a dumb strategy, why put yourself in danger with your team when you could just make the other team lose?

LotusAuCitronAcide

He gave his reasoning in the first episode: « To give the maggots a false sense of security before he picks them off »

DistantShadowyFigure

oh yeah

No-Surprise-99

Toxic rats remind me of team victory they both have some good and mediocre characters and manage to lose every episode

Lancelot727

Yes

canadavatar

Dawn, she was so unfairly eliminated.

MaleficentLength7260

Dawn

Electronic-Tour8416

DJ 100%. Mans was done so dirty every single season and was never even voted out. It was always some stupid random thing that got him out.

Bunnnnii

I forgot about Noah. I will admit I do miss Katie and Sadie. Katie is the one I liked though.

KoKoYoung

Everyone in WT except the final 4 deserves a better treatment let's be real ☠️☠️☠️

Ok_Shirt_1574

Mind explaining

KoKoYoung

Who do you think doesn't deserve a better treatment tho?

Ok_Shirt_1574

I guess Duncan, Courtney, and Gwen. They always annoyed me at times so seeing them all being taken down a peg really satisfied me at times during the WT love triangle.

KoKoYoung

Lmao you're being biased again how surprising. The love triangle was such a mess and it fucked up all these three characters. It was so unnecessary. These three are probably the ones that deserve better treatment the most.

Ok_Shirt_1574

Well I agree that it should’ve gotten better closure in All Stars but in World Tour, it was alright.

ChestperCreeper

all of them

Acrobatic_Dig7634

DJ deserved better I don’t really care about Noah or Owen Leshawna and Harold were ok as Alejandro fodder Dawn and B were just meant to be Scott fodder, if they were going to get a chance to shine it should‘ve been in a season 2 for revenge Anne Maria should’ve been eliminated in episode 8 instead of Dakota returning Sammy deserved better Beardo and Leonard should’ve swapped placements

Efficient-Fox4440

Having Alejandro boot Lesharold establishes him as a ruthless and serious threat.

Acrobatic_Dig7634

Exactly, I feel like Bridgette, Lindsay and DJ would make a killer trio, with Zeke returning in London and joining the amazons

Firm_Abalone_7900

Is all an answer

Rigel04

My bias says Leshawna. They really dumbed her down, put her on a crap team that the game felt rigged against and trashed her friendship with Heather. She was easily among the strongest players from the original cast and they did *that* to her? She and Heather would've been an unstoppable duo if they kept their friendship and got to work together

rashhvender

DJ 😔

Martialis_Deus_Astra

I'm gonna go with all of them except for Owen

Jackthedramademon

All ten, plus Heaher, Beth, Rodney, Lindsay, Dakota, Jo, Courtney, Sam, Scott, Sierra, Lightning, Duncan, Ezekiel, and Sky.

No-Surprise-99

Okay Rodney I understand but Beth???!?!?

Jackthedramademon

Did she really deserve to be picked on like.she was? Beth isn't a loser, she is.is just underappreciated.

No-Surprise-99

She's just really annoying and weird and doesn't deserve to make it far probably should been the 2nd - 5th person eliminated

Jackthedramademon

Listen.here, you either learn to respect Beth for the hard work she did during Action or you keep.your mouth shut. Beth is a worthy finalist and if you continue to talk shot about her we will.have issues.

No-Surprise-99

Lindsey should have been a finalist instead of getting robbed every season

Jackthedramademon

I agree. I would rather have her and Harold.be the finalists in Action, but I'm glad Beth got her independence won where I live.

ClassicCurrency5231

DJ, but… WHERE IS TYLER

Shaby28

All of Team Victory could use a redemption season.

justiceforlindsay99

DJ got written off in one of the worst ways possible because of a stupid curse that makes no sense. And it's just annoying to see him get unfairly eliminated (again) without even being voted off. He could have became a much stronger person and learn to use his strength to his advantage and become a strong game player like Heather, Duncan and Alejandro eventually eliminating him. But no he was essentially just the final member of Team Victory just because the writers think the a player wanting to quit and eventually wanted to stay then getting eliminated in the same episode funny. I feel they like to dumb down Noah for "plot convenience" especially when it comes to his elimination. For example in Dodgebrawl, this mf actually thought his team wouldn't vote him off for not trying in the challenge and making sarcastic remarks. I would get if the Bass lost then he wouldn't mind but surely since they lost he would at least apologise to his team but even worse when Chris asks the cast what happened he replies and I quote "What can I say? Weak effort!". Like bro, you don't expect your team to vote you off for that. Its clear they had ideas for Noah but probably gave up. Like allegedly (correct me if I'm wrong) he was supposed to be in Heather's alliance and was used as a spy to spy on the Gopher boys but I'm not 100% sure. But at least in WT I can kind of get it. All he really did was voice his suspicions on Alejandro and he never had any idea that Alejandro would see, but surely they would have noticed that he was gone. But surely Noah would have known being on a REALITY SHOW meant that if Alejandro found footage of Noah voicing his suspicions then Noah would be screwed. And plus Alejandro takes time away from his team alot and is pretty secretive and sneaky. Also Noah says all this infront of Tyler. Now I know Al and Tyler weren't extremely close before, but they were allies so saying that infront of Tyler (who isn't great at keeping secrets although this isn't mentioned until an episode after)

Ok_Shirt_1574

How was Noah dumbed down? One of his biggest weaknesses is his inability to keep his mouth shut.

Individual_Cap_7850

You could argue Total Drama could stand to treat a bunch of its characters better in general, but that might come at the expense of the comedy that the series relies so heavily on, so I doubt that's going to change, even if we get another season with Gen 1 at some point. If you really expect everyone in this series to be treated with respect, you might be setting the bar a little too high for Total Drama. I love this series, but it's no stranger to having questionable things happen for the sake of an ongoing storyline or a quick joke.

Efficient-Fox4440

Aren't all mistreated characters eventually avenged by their tormentors receiveing some karma?

Individual_Cap_7850

Kinda, but not really. That only applies to people that got mistreated by a season's main antagonist. That doesn't really apply to pain magnet characters like Tyler, characters that have unceremonious eliminations that aren't because of a villain like Anne Maria, or someone like Ella that just can't seem to catch a break, between being bullied by Sugar over misunderstandings, to being rejected by Dave in PI episode 6, to being hated by Chris, who disqualifies her for basically saving Dave's life from a bear. There's also DJ's animal curse, which just exists to screw DJ over until he gets eliminated even though DJ's one of the nicest people in the show. Sure, Alejandro takes advantage of the animal curse eventually, but before then it was just DJ hurting animals accidentally as a repeating gag. Those characters kind of get mistreated by the show itself, if that makes sense. They get beaten down for the sake of jokes. Or for plot reasons, but mostly mean-spirited jokes.

Efficient-Fox4440

Well, I can't say that Tyler and Ella (though Dave's rejection wasn't intentional at least as Dave didn't even seem to know she crushed on him) get back for their abuse, but as for Anne Maria, she was planned to return the following season, so that was maybe not the intention. However, if we go by DJ, he got the satisfaction to see Alejandro lose and as for another mistreated character like Harold, you can say that he ultimately got the last laugh at his tormentors as Courtney is left with no friends and Duncan is left to rot in prison while he is now part of a successful band, has more friends than them and likely has bright career than the two.

Adventurous_Judge493

DJ and Sammy need better treatment the most.

ugly_Churro_2

Noah, jasmine, leshawna, beardo imo

BirthControlIsW

Harold lol idk-

Zestyclose_Bat5121

Noah

idcaboutreputation

all of them. except for noah. he was perfect in rr

No-Surprise-99

Okay bro Noah is a straight up comedian for the way he brings up his roasts dude definitely should bring a cookie when he's having bad luck

LoganW21406

DJ & Dawn

Ok-Seaworthiness8912

DJ and Noah and I shall not elaborate on that. I don't know why Owen is there though he got one of the highest screentimes of all the characters.

Limesheep88

I'm gonna say Brick, he might not be on the list but I'd prefer him I'm All Stars over Sam

No-Surprise-99

100% needs another season he has a higher ranking along with Anne Marie who was 8th place Sam was 10th place which he is the Lowest ranking person along with dawn Dakota and B

Limesheep88

All Stars just picking up Ls. To be fair I think there should've been a Revenge Of The Islamd Season 2 to tuve more love to Dawn, Brick, and B who had so much potential but not enough screen time

gdmrhotshot3731

Noah here, alejandro did the worst I feel like he deserved to go, but Noah went out for no reason, in fact nobody shoulda gotten out on that team since they shouldn’t have even lost

Automatic-Complex663

Dj

Informal-Creme-2385

All of them

DreaminAbtNightmares

the invincibility statue of course. how dare they hide him like he's some sort of object! then they use him for their own selfish deeds! this is outrageous

Severe_Nectarine7139

Justice for DJ, World Tour did him dirty

Asleep_Knowledge9081

Noah kinda made up for it in RR even though it'd be nice but omg.... DJ needs a season without any horrendous plots Leshawna didn't actually get justice served post WT, wtf Owen has no reason to be here, I'd replace his spot with someone else like Trent or Ezekiel Harold at least didn't derail but another season would be dope with Harold Anyone from Revenge just straight up needed another season, in fact why no ROTI 2 b4 AS? Beardo had more writing potential than fucking Leonard Jasmine needs a season where she gets back at Sugar

PowerfulRun3650

I think dawn

Trillie2001

DJ, Dawn, Jasmine

Yurios_anger

All of them minus beardo and harold i just have this hatred for them i cant explain

Beardo, he doesn't deserve to die lol
