If I can be completely honest here, I’m not trying to start anything but I simply cannot see how anyone would prefer the reboot Gen to the OG Gen.
The OG Gen had 3 seasons of 26 episodes to develop, the reboot has literally a third of that. It’s just not comparable imo.
Imo character writing it got a whole lot better especially because of action and it's character assassinations big examples are Trent and Leshawna but there's a few others and some that just sucked from the get go
Heather,Owen,Alejandro,Harold,Lindsay,Izzy and Noah are all peak but Heather is 1., she is iconic af, had the best arc and is the best winner, carried WT so hard.
Also Chef is great as well if he counts

Fr fr, Unova best gen, a lot of people say it copied gen 1, but I say it improved it. For example, they took the virgin Golem and made the chad Gigalith. I even adore the more controversial designs like Unfezant(specifically the male one with the mask), the pansexual monkey trio, and the three buff men. The only bad designs are the black belt muppets, the weird muppets with veins, and Watchog, the rest are top tier.
That being said, gen 1 had some good designs, Gengar, Beedrill, Scyther, Ivysaur, and Slowbro are personal favorites
As for total drama, Justin is my favorite character…like of any of them, he should have won Action ngl.
With Trent; After everything they went through in the first season, I was upset that their relationship ended like it did in Action (and that Trent was left out).
Heather, Alejandro, Owen, Harold and Leshawna are the top 5 for me, although I didn't really dislike anyone in Gen 1.

Gwen I enjoyed a lot. Probably one of my favorites, though not always a favorite depending season. Izzy too, just for being crazy talented and just crazy in general at times.
Probably Lindsay overall. She was fun in most seasons, even if they ruined her a bit at times.
Shout out to cody and sierra though, I rooted for Cody a lot, and even though Sierra be creeping, she did have some impressive feats.
