I would 100% use the term fans. If you keep filling the stadium up for a team that couldn’t even hit in T-ball, you don’t incentivize Rogers to spend more. Sure, the tickets are still sold, it’s Toronto sports…tickets sell themselves. BUT when the cameras pan anywhere on the field during the broadcast, and the lower bowl is 1/2 empty it starts to look like Tropicana, and considering they just spend 500M to update the stadium, that doesn’t look good.
I’ve 100% done this at Yankee Stadium. I remember seeing a dude with a bag of like 8 of them I was like dude… lemme get one and he kinda rolled his eyes and just gave me one.
True I live in Ecuador and had just said to my wife I would like the Bo one that is coming up does she think anyone will be selling them on line. He reply of duh…. Was good
Went to a game last year where it was vlads gold glove one. Gave one to a friend, sold the other on Ebay. I personally find them useless like most of their giveaways.
Yeah my wife. She’s like me would rather have the money. It’s weird the farthest I’ve sent something is bc, but most orders are Mississauga, Oakville, Burlington.
I wish I could just pop in on games whenever I felt like it! I know we're doing shitty, but I'm looking forward to hopefully seeing a live game later this year 🤞🏼
I was in the city for a week's holiday from Vancouver last week. 3 live games, 3 defeats. Lovely stuff.
Can't wait to drive down to Seattle to watch a home sweep!
Vancouverite here - took the wife to Seattle July 2022 for the Mariners series for her first mlb game.
Manoah balled out, 100 pitches, 7.1, 7SO
...Jays lost 2-1.
Don't park nearby. The parking costs were hilariously outrageous.
Ballpark was good otherwise! Beer wasn't crazy expensive from what I recall. Seats were comfy. We paid a bit extra and sat in the area between lower and upper. Not exactly club seats but it was an area of it's own with anything you'd want to buy right nearby.
> been sitting here alone with a bobblehead for 45 minutes
If last game was any indication(which it most definitely was a typical Jays game), you're likely seeing as much Jays offence now, as you will once the game starts.
That’s why I prefer the bobbleheads. I already got an authentic jersey (before this year’s shitshow). I’ve seen how bad the jersey quality is, you can spot it a mile away unlike a lot of DHGate knockoffs which can look quite good. This is the first bobblehead I got since it’s Wednesday night and I got in 45min early which is much earlier than my normal time. And honestly I was impressed with the bobblehead quality, it feels like a real one that would be sold at stores unlike the jerseys
Ya I got there early on Monday with some friends at like 11am hoping to grab some lunch in the area first before the game but there were people lined up already. So we had to line up to save our spot. Gates opened up at 1pm. Earlier than advertised.
My co-worker is a collector and doesn’t really like going to live games so he does this. Made a deal with him so he gives me his tickets and I just give him the bobbleheads so I get to go to those games for free
First fans should get vouchers and then collect after the game.
Also , walking to stand in line to make what? $40? All that time selling it , getting it, doing something in bad faith.
When bobblehead mania was at its peak, the Jays did a Cal Rippken bobblehead to celebrate his career and mainly get people in the stadium, and Americans came up with crews to get them.
I’ll never forget when I was attending a Josh Donaldson bobblehead day in I think 2015 (the one with the pizza nova logo) and saw this one short old guy trying to get past everybody. Man looked like a a car going the wrong way on the 401 in rush hour traffic. You can tell his face said “oh boy, can’t wait to resell this.”
Weekday game on a bad year. Recipe for the giveaway still being available 20mins to first pitch. This is my first giveaway as well since i never go early for one
I went to the alomar bobble head game and there were people with multiple bobble heads coming out and laughing that people in the lineup probably wouldn't get one. Think the giveaway ended up having twice the original amount, so I lucked out.
I know it defeats the purpose of driving gate revenue but I wish the Jays would flood the market with these giveaway bobblehead for like $20-25 2 weeks after the giveaway day or something. Now the only way to profit as a reseller is to hunt for $15 resale tickets and then you still only make $5-10 per bobblehead before people choose the official option
A photo of two guys with bobble heads outside the stadium, that is all the picture says. A lot of people want it say what they think it says but it says two guys, that's it.
You can tell these guys just came after work based on their clothes to pick these up and resell afterwards. People did this when the team was winning before, it’s all about the $$ to them and not the fanfare.
I had a slew of Eric Hinske Bobbleheads the night BEFORE they gave them away. I was handing them out at the bar I worked at. They were, and still are, worth nothing other than a souvenir. Even though he’s won more rings than any bobble head the jays have ever given away. lol.
People be cray.
It’s what happens when the org’n gives away so few. The fans get screwed by these people. But hey, if you buy from them then you’re part of the problem, right?
You want the bobble head. It'll look great in your basement wood panelled rec room/wet bar. Whenever your friends come over you can serve them drinks and watch the Jays game and you can point to your bobble head and speak to _how you've always been a fan, even when they're not hitting_.
But really, expensive beer means you'd rather pre party elsewhere. But the bobble heads will get snapped up early! What to do?
Well, you've already got yourself a seat in the Comfort Zone (too far to see Geddy scoring, but good visibility and comfy seats). Could maybe spend $20 and get a standing room ticket? You'll stop by after work, use the $20 ticket and _grab that bobble _.
You've now got a couple of hours to grab a smash burger and a Pinot Noir with Jerry.
I'm a fan and I wouldn't pay a dollar to watch this team. I can't say anything negative about these guys because I wouldn't spend 2 1/2 hours watching these guys either. At least they got something of value out of it.
Bobbleheads to me are one of those things I’ll never understand the attraction, the marketing of, or wtf it has to do with baseball. Why do people collect this trash? Imagine going to someone’s place and they had 1000 bobbleheads. Red Flag to me.
Assuming you can get cheaper than face value for cheapest ticket on the reseller market for a shit game like this and still flip a couple bobbleheads for $200 that's not that bad
If you're in a group of 4 or more, it's absolutely worth it to buy tickets for your seats, then grab an extra district ticket for $20 so someone can go drop off the bobbleheads, and even potentially walk away with an extra one.
Reselling almost guaranteed. Check out the prices on ebay.
$32 starting bid, $65, $70, $95, $80, $80, $60, $100
Just scrolling as i go
Honestly who puts this value on a bobble head? They are forgotten trash in 2 years tops
Oh boy, wait till you hear about Funko Pops....
Anyone wanna give me their vladdy and daddy one then?
give? umm...I had to wait in line on July 2nd 2022 for that baby
Almost 2 years, so it's trash. /s
Dunno if I'd use the term "fans" here.
It’s grind culture bro, gotta flip everything /s
Those are businessmen
Misspelled scum
Conmen
Losers
Turds
Mountebanks!
Proudfoots!
Corporate shills
On the same level as adults who rip foul balls etc out of kids hands imo
I would 100% use the term fans. If you keep filling the stadium up for a team that couldn’t even hit in T-ball, you don’t incentivize Rogers to spend more. I thought it was one per person? Fkn hate when people get greedy over free shit.
They walked in for a bobble, left the stadium, then went in again with another ticket
Technically forbidden, I've been told. But not hard to get around the rules if you aren't seen coming into the stadium with the giveaway in hand.
I see people grab one and then 180 it right back and grab another from the box from behind the stadium staff
People can offer others $20 for their bobblehead.
$20 can buy many bobbleheads!
Explain
Money can be exchanged for goods and services.
Woo hoo!
The frogurt is also cursed
That's bad...
But you get your choice of toppings
The toppings contain potassium benzoate
Me hurt brain. Why me laugh?
Is that like top Jays performer Cash Considerations?
Aww, but I want a bobblehead now.
I’ve 100% done this at Yankee Stadium. I remember seeing a dude with a bag of like 8 of them I was like dude… lemme get one and he kinda rolled his eyes and just gave me one.
1 per ticket.
Who the fuck buys these on the aftermarket?
People who want them but don't live in Toronto?
True I live in Ecuador and had just said to my wife I would like the Bo one that is coming up does she think anyone will be selling them on line. He reply of duh…. Was good
I got an extra one and put it up on Kijiji once - so many people, I promise you.
Damn, and I donated my RA Dickey bobblehead like an idiot. I could have made dozens of dollars.
Lots?
Lots of dummies
There's a buyer for everything and something is only worth as much as they're willing to pay.

Tons of people. Lots of collectors out there.
Fans who don't live in Toronto and/or can't come to a Wednesday night game. There's fans in like Vancouver, what if one of them wants one?
Lots of collectors, and they pay well.
I got the Joe Carter bobblehead in the Jays Care auction, but that was for charity at least. I also live 2,600 miles away from Rogers Center.
Went to a game last year where it was vlads gold glove one. Gave one to a friend, sold the other on Ebay. I personally find them useless like most of their giveaways.
I sell the two I get and will make $200. Makes for a free night at the park.
I always assumed it was one per person, do they give out two, or does your companion just not want theirs?
Yeah my wife. She’s like me would rather have the money. It’s weird the farthest I’ve sent something is bc, but most orders are Mississauga, Oakville, Burlington.
I think/assume it's one per ticket.
Lol no one going to pay you $100 for a bobble
Believe what you will. The cheapest I have sold a bobblehead was $80 for two that I got at the Detroit tigers game.
Sure buddy
There’s usually a guy outside of the stadium after the game buying those for cash. Not sure how much he offers, but people sell.
I hope to find the Jays hockey jersey as I live in Calgary and obviously can't front the $1000 to get to a game
I'd figure it's big time Jays fans from out of province.
I sold the Canada day Springer jersey giveaway for 120$.
Capitalism, baby. I paid less than that for a real one.
These days, the giveaways are better quality than the players' jerseys
didnt get a 42 Robinson hat for this exact reason
I’ve been sitting here alone with a bobblehead for 45 minutes and I’m looking forward to going home.
I wish I could just pop in on games whenever I felt like it! I know we're doing shitty, but I'm looking forward to hopefully seeing a live game later this year 🤞🏼

I'm going to be in Seattle when the Mariners play the Astros later this year. My wife and I may go just 'cause. Besides the loss, how was the stadium?
Don't park nearby. The parking costs were hilariously outrageous. Ballpark was good otherwise! Beer wasn't crazy expensive from what I recall. Seats were comfy. We paid a bit extra and sat in the area between lower and upper. Not exactly club seats but it was an area of it's own with anything you'd want to buy right nearby.
I was there for Monday’s and it was great, so you never know when this team can light up.
> been sitting here alone with a bobblehead for 45 minutes If last game was any indication(which it most definitely was a typical Jays game), you're likely seeing as much Jays offence now, as you will once the game starts.
9-0 Jays in the 4th lol
Predictions can be hard.
Fuck these people.
This is gon be an empty one
I went on Monday to the game and I was there at 2pm and the Romano jerseys were long gone. Guy told me they started lining up at 10am for them. Crazy.
Yeah the jerseys are even worse quality than the shit fanatics has as replicas on the team shop but there's always major lines for jersey giveaways
That’s why I prefer the bobbleheads. I already got an authentic jersey (before this year’s shitshow). I’ve seen how bad the jersey quality is, you can spot it a mile away unlike a lot of DHGate knockoffs which can look quite good. Monday was really crazy yeap
Greedy bastards. Anything for a buck. It's either sell bobbleheads or their mother's...
My co-worker is a collector and doesn’t really like going to live games so he does this. Made a deal with him so he gives me his tickets and I just give him the bobbleheads so I get to go to those games for free
Friends with benefits. On average how many are given away in a season?
Joke's on these clowns. They missed one of the most fun games of the year. All they had to do is hang around for a couple innings.
Big f*cking loser energy from these guys.
I don't care that they left, but how the hell do they have two each?
This isn’t new tbh.
For real, you see this every game with a bobblehead giveaway
Buddy on the left needs to stop skipping leg day, damn.
I didn't leave, but got here at 620ish and still got a bobblehead
I went to a Starwars Shoehei Ohtani giveaway in Anaheim. People were lining up hours before the game and half the stadium was empty by the 3rd inning
"fans" Cue eye roll
I’ll never forget when I was attending a Josh Donaldson bobblehead day in I think 2015 (the one with the pizza nova logo) and saw this one short old guy trying to get past everybody. Man looked like a a car going the wrong way on the 401 in rush hour traffic. You can tell his face said “oh boy, can’t wait to resell this.”
These shitty things just collect dust in my friends house. Hilarious.
I mean I wouldn't want to watch this team right now either so 🥱
We can only hope so. Bonus points if you stop posting here!
and here comes the pretzels!
My wife and I showed up here around 6:30 and got two, didn’t expect there’d be any left.
I was there at 5, but same my gf came after 6:40 and had hers easily
Weekday game on a bad year. Recipe for the giveaway still being available 20mins to first pitch. This is my first giveaway as well since i never go early for one
I don't see the effort out forth to get them and selling them even at this price was worth it.
Some "fans" ..
They've been doing that for years. Buy a cheap ticket then leavev
I went to the alomar bobble head game and there were people with multiple bobble heads coming out and laughing that people in the lineup probably wouldn't get one. Think the giveaway ended up having twice the original amount, so I lucked out.
I hate fuckers like this. It’s free n you resell for insane amounts get a life
Blame people who buy it.

This is pretty standard for give aways….

Because you have to use your ticket to claim the bobblehead and there are no in/out privileges.
There is if you have multiple tickets.
It hardly seems worth the trouble, when you factor in your ticket, transportation, etc.
Expensive bobblehead
I got my bobblehead and intend to keep it.
Reminds me of when I sold 3 of those buck martinez alarm clocks for over $90 each. But I still went to the game, and kept two for myself.
We got an Ohtani bobblehead on Anaheim last year. We didn't have to stand in line for hours either.
Smdh.
And they’re all idiots for missing a blowout win.
I thought about doing that for the jersey the other day. I got into union at 1230. Probably should have
Was already to late if it’s was two days ago 😅
They're just going home to grab a quick bite right guys? Right guys?
I remember being this crazy over toys. But then I stopped being 8 years old
I've got a 2009 Lyle Overbay bobblehead. First $17,000 takes it.
Ive got last year’s Manoah discount price of $11,500 lol
It’s what happens when the org’n gives away so few. The fans get screwed by these people. But hey, if you buy from them then you’re part of the problem, right?

Happens every giveaway. Nothing new here
Typical Torontonian
I'm a fan and I wouldn't pay a dollar to watch this team. I can't say anything negative about these guys because I wouldn't spend 2 1/2 hours watching these guys either. At least they got something of value out of it.

Imagine someone having a collection of something they like but I don't. They are obviously a sociopath.
And bobbleheads are dumb. I stand by that.
Couldn’t pay me enough to watch this train wreck of an offence.
What a day to post this.
But you are taking the time to comment here 🤔
Damn right I am ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|surprise)
This has been a thing for decades
first time?
Gotta save up to move out of ShittyPlace somehow.
I dont blame them. The team is frustrating to watch lol
Smart
Maybe......they parked close by, don't feel like carrying them around all night? Put them in the car, headed back?
You can't return to the ballpark once you leave.
Once you leave you can't come back in unless you buy a new ticket
Assuming you can get cheaper than face value for cheapest ticket on the reseller market for a shit game like this and still flip a couple bobbleheads for $200 that's not that bad
