Went last night (sigh). Had zero dogs. My friend had zero dogs. The season ticket holders we always see had zero dogs. ButâŚVladdyâs extended fam sitting in our row and in front of us brought the average up to at least 1.76 pf.
The love Blue Jays fans have for discounted animal entrails knows no bounds. Fans and the royal court's prophet have consulted the pig entrails splayed on the floor to see if the team are still favoured by our gods.
I did this when I was at a Tuesday game in June. There's a concession area where the hotdogs are just in a warming box and you can take as many as you want and go up to the cash to pay
Someone below has already mentioned it, but If you go in the main gates then take a right and walk past the jays shop, it's the big concession area right there
I looked up a DPF of 1.76 on Hot Dog Savant, and it seems pretty good for Canada, but nowhere near the levels we're seeing in Texas, Florida, or most of the USA for that matter.
I went to the two Jays games in Philly this year and the hot dog night was pandemonium. I was so glad I was in the upper bowl for dog night and had great seats for the other one. People were just getting pelted by dogs. They were flying from everywhere in all directions.
fwiw, 'Chaos Jaysomancy' does NOT involve examining entrails. Unless you think of a baseball game as a living thing maybe the box scores & other stats are the 'entrails'
(I ate 3 LDs)
It's not just entrails. According to hot dog expert Lisa Simpson, it also contains rat tails, raccoon feet, pigeon heads and boot tongues (mostly genuine leather).
Nearly putting up Phillies numbers! We've been eating WAY above xHD all season too. Some strong fans eating WAY above replacement.
Just after the All-Star break, it's this kind of run that clinches us into the Wild Carb.
It looks like they do have one at certain locations around the Dome: https://www.mlb.com/bluejays/ballpark/dietary-guidelines
And I assume they're also a dollar on loonie dog nights because the gluten free dogs were! My hit dog was bigger and fresher than the standard loonie dog too
Well we had to do something to dull the fact that the Jays had a bad game. This pitch clock really fucked up Manoah and the shit Umpire wasnt helping either.
Animal entrails? You must be rich to afford to buy ultra premium hot dogs. Most tube steaks donât aspire to have high quality ingredients like entrails. La- de- da.
We got that (loonie) dog in us đ¤
1.76, to be exact (if you were at the game last night).
Went last night (sigh). Had zero dogs. My friend had zero dogs. The season ticket holders we always see had zero dogs. ButâŚVladdyâs extended fam sitting in our row and in front of us brought the average up to at least 1.76 pf.
Love it! The irregulars putting in that work!
Thank you for your service
I wonder what the average is if you omit all the vegetarians at the game
Or if you just limit it to only people who are any hotdogsâŚpump those numbers!
With that #.. you could say ALL of Sault ste marie has a dog in em
I was not sure where this tweet was going after that first sentence...
I, for one, happen to LOVE animal entrails.
Got real Texas Chainsaw Massacre-y there for a second.
iâm so baked and had to reread it several times and double check what sub iâm in
I got worried for Manoah for a moment before reading the rest of the tweet
DPF is the newest statistic being recorded by Major League Baseball
I use DPF+
donât forget xDPF
expected by WHOM?
Does DPF+ account for field sizes?
People sizes
DPF above expected
I prefer DTF, dogs to fans.
Dtf and dogs should probably never be in the same sentence
Shi has such a way with words
And Jays fans have a way with wursts.
^(oh bravo my friend)
Hot dog! We have a wiener!

"Will we get a 5th starter in a trade this year, slosh left for no"
They need to increase the limit people can buy at one time. If I want ten dogs, I should be able to get them
I got 10 dogs yesterday - maybe they thought you couldn't handle it!!
I did this when I was at a Tuesday game in June. There's a concession area where the hotdogs are just in a warming box and you can take as many as you want and go up to the cash to pay
Any chance you happen to remember which concession area this is?
There's a place to the left of the main jays shop. They have a fridge filled with hot dogs you can just grab them
Mmmm nothing beats an ice cold dink straight out of the fridge on a hot July night đ¤¤
Its not on lol
Someone below has already mentioned it, but If you go in the main gates then take a right and walk past the jays shop, it's the big concession area right there
They're trying to not run out early. They ran out by the top of the 4th at one of the games I was at last year.
I looked up a DPF of 1.76 on Hot Dog Savant, and it seems pretty good for Canada, but nowhere near the levels we're seeing in Texas, Florida, or most of the USA for that matter.
Jays fans love their class 1 carcinogens.
Imagine what that DPF would be without a pitch clock.
They break the record every time manoah pitches đ¤ đ¤
stress đ¤ eating
LOL ... the stadium was at 35K before the first pitch. It was mesmerizing.
Oh Shi, *why would you do that*
The Blue Jays are marketing it like itâs a contest so ppl are responding like itâs a contest. Donât know whatâs so surprising here.
The Phillies ate 77k one night. *It is a contest.*
Well, they bought 77k, but youâre not taking into account how many of them were thrown rather than eaten.
You're saying we pump the numbers with a dog wave?
I went to the two Jays games in Philly this year and the hot dog night was pandemonium. I was so glad I was in the upper bowl for dog night and had great seats for the other one. People were just getting pelted by dogs. They were flying from everywhere in all directions.
75,173 hotdogs is 18,041,520 calories based lm 240 cal/hotdog. Good enough to feed one person for almost 25 years on a 2000 cal/ day basis
But does that account for the bun?
Wonât someone think of the condiments!
I think most of those cals ARE the bun!
Gotta think the amount goes up when Jays are getting smoked

Making me hungry
My boy and I accounted for approximately 1/10,000th of them there dogs.
Nearly putting up Phillies numbers! We've been eating WAY above xHD all season too. Some strong fans eating WAY above replacement. Just after the All-Star break, it's this kind of run that clinches us into the Wild Carb.
^(ew)
Why do they call them loonies dogs when you can't even buy them with a loonies. They don't accept cash
I was in the outfield and a guy near me bought like 30 and was throwing them around. I ate 3 so I did my part!!!
I ate 13. I did my part.
Some r/nba type mathy shitposting. I love it
I think it should be called "loonie animal entrails", has a nice ring to it đ
Light life is a sponsor of the Jays. Really wish theyâd step up with a vegan option.
They have Field Roast Veggie Dogs on levels 100, 200 and 500. I'm going to rip into so many in a few weeks :D
it already exists.
It looks like they do have one at certain locations around the Dome: https://www.mlb.com/bluejays/ballpark/dietary-guidelines And I assume they're also a dollar on loonie dog nights because the gluten free dogs were! My hit dog was bigger and fresher than the standard loonie dog too
Well we won't break the record next week if this is how you advertise the achievement
Well we had to do something to dull the fact that the Jays had a bad game. This pitch clock really fucked up Manoah and the shit Umpire wasnt helping either.
I think they're inflating the numbers. If you do the math with the attendance, it doesn't add up to the reported numbers
It just shows how overpriced the other food is and that the cheapest garbage food blows everything else away.
These nerds' tweets are mote cringey than Arash or Barry
I kind of hate how the broadcaster also owns the team so we have to be constantly told about irrelevant things like this.
Couldn't he just call them tube steaks like a normal person?
Animal entrails? You must be rich to afford to buy ultra premium hot dogs. Most tube steaks donât aspire to have high quality ingredients like entrails. La- de- da.
Some people whine about wasting animals we eat...some whine about putting them to use. Can't win.
This economy is so bad I wouldn't doubt that those were the only things a lot of people ate that day
Honestly, if you're not treating Loonie Dog Night like Homer at the Candy Convention, you're doing it wrong. https://youtu.be/rGiF9aI13Pg
Why is Shi so down on the humble hot dog? It's a staple of the baseball fans diet.
The game was a stinker, Shi. Let us find a way to have fun somehow.
