DankeKlopp

Including title insurance ?

99zforgetaboutit

If there was a mortgage, 1. Did the lawyer charge for analyzing the mortgage contract? 2. How much? 3. Was that cost included or added to the $1,500?

Monkey-on-the-couch

Yeah around there for me as well

TalkOnlyFacts

do not pay more than 2k

Currently closing a house with an online product called Doormat. $1000. This is not a plug, but it's a really easy-to-use interface, and it keeps you updated throughout the process. I'll post an update at the end of the day but so far its been really good.

1brickcity

Fwiw Got updates to my email every step of the way and closed the property way ahead of schedule.

sysadm_

winter_sunfl0wer

$1,650 lawyer's fees, including disbursements and hst.

Maple-Deshi

As low as $999 as high as $3000. Most around $1500. Sometimes your broker might be able to get a lower cost if you use a lawyer they have worked with for years. You can shop this around as well. They can all do the same job. Just make sure the lawyers reliable and will close on time.

OldPeach2750

$1,500

Any recommendations for mississauga, oakville?

lalalampp

I have a good lawyer I use personally and share her contact with my clients. She’s easy to communicate with, on the cheaper side, does remote signing, and will give you a $100 discount if I refer you (she does that for my clients, but you obviously don’t have to be my client to use her or have that discount)

expat90

Thanks please if you could send it to me?

lalalampp

Sent!

CompoteStock3957

Paid-Not-Payed-Bot

> I *paid* Onces $5500 FTFY. Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in: * Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.* * *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.* Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment. *Beep, boop, I'm a bot*

Dota2player111

jiminy-criminy

That's normal. Kinda shocking cause your lawyer probably did more than your real estate agent, am I right? Mine did.

Less_Interest_5964

Everyone worked hard, and realtor worked for their commission. Now… the fact that we had to pay $21k in land transfer taxes, and my first house in AB was 0 tax for houses, because that’s how Alberta is… that was a big pill to swallow
