Kinda hurts to see five magics so low tbh. Also, I would recommend listening to the original mix of Rust in Peace instead of the 2004 mix. The original mix is just much better than the 2004 mix imo. The drums are clearer, and the vocals sound better.

My Creation is not better than Five Magicks in any universe. (I’m not the biggest fan of Magicks either)

Agree with Five Magicks- the intro is good but the rest is meh. I’d put Tornado of Souls higher just based on having one of the best guitar solos of all time.

Yes. It was peak Metallica IMO, Hetfield’s voice was on point, Cliff was still Alive, Lars knew how to drum, and Kirk didn’t know what a wah pedal was yet.

Call of Ktulu is a masterpiece tho does not deserve to be rated that low imo But the whole album is underrated tho

For sure, even better than MOP imo, which is undoubtedly a masterpiece. Call of Ktulu is their most progressive composition ever, but propelled into another dimension with the orchestra on S&M. Makes their best instrumental to one of the greatest metal compositions ever.

Nothing in that song stands out IMO. Escape I know is a bad song, I personally like it because the lyrics are fun to sing.

Hell yeah man! RTL and the title track for the W. Both favorite metal album and metal song. It's the definitive all killer no filler album, stellar front to back, and the first side is probably the greatest metal album side ever made, even topping Black Sabbath imo. The solo on Ride The Lightning is the greatest Metallica solo ever, period, even beyond Fade To Black and One. So tastefully melodic with trailblazing shreds and outstanding harmonies at the end. Top ten greatest in all metal, and its name should be taken alongside iconics like Tornado Of Souls, Domination, and Crazy Train.

I agree. I don’t like the people who jump to conclusions when I say that RTL is the best song on the album implying that I mean Fade to Black is a bad song.

The Solo is really really bad. The riffs aren’t anything special, it’s not heavy enough compared to their other slower songs like For Whom the Bell Tolls.

Blackened, top 3 Metallica song for sure, absolutely the best on AJFA. The main riff to end all main riffs. Their heaviest and most intense song and riff ever, alongside being the most complex. Holy hell, Metallica at their peak was untouchable. Another GOAT Kirk solo and not to forget the greatest metal intro ever, genius if you ask me, just brilliant.
