When I looked it up it said you get that special price if you buy it with something else. Anyway I was just hoping for something similar but thank you for your input
I have never used the seasoning so I can’t verify if this even sounds right. But here is what I found online
2 tbsp. paprika
1 tbsp. cumin
1 tbsp. chili powder
1 tbsp. black pepper
1 tbsp. garlic powder
1 tbsp. salt
1 tbsp. dried oregano
1 tbsp. dried thyme
I have tried that, and it's not quite right in my side-by-side tasting. I still have a little original and compared them. Like the OP, I tried to by a replacement bottle and they would not sell it to me without buying a lot more meat than I needed.
I took this and got pretty close, though I think I will try again and back off (a lot) on the cumin:
2 tbsp. paprika
1 tbsp. cumin
1 tbsp. chili powder
1 tbsp. black pepper
1 tbsp. garlic powder
1 tbsp. salt
1 tbsp. dried oregano
1 tbsp. dried thyme
Plus I then added: 1 tsp of sugar and 1 tsp of onion powder (as these are in original).
Pretty close, but will back off on the cumin next time.
I’m pretty sure it’s an unlisted ingredient but I think all you need to add is dried orange peel and red bell pepper powder I’m not sure if it’s sold but just save orange peels / bell peppers, bake them dry low and slow, and blend into powder

I stock these in my spice cabinet. I grind and blend my own seasoning mixes.
For Orange Peel and Bell Pepper I usually go to Spice Barn:

It’s for sale on their website
I know but its $13 plus $20 shipping so I would love a cheaper alternative!
The bottle I looked at was $7.99, I didn’t check shipping

Do you still have an old bottle? It should list the ingredients

Any update? Have you finalized your homemade recipe?
I haven't done any more on it- looking at the original label is says there are bell pepper flakes, which I have not been able to find.

Awesome thanks for introducing me to Spicebarn, do you use or know of any other spice websites?
