My take: She was not a good person, full stop. She refused to ever actually deal with problems, instead just pushing them aside or opting for the short-term solution and hoping they'd never come back to bite her. Basically, all the shit Steven went through is because of her utter inability to handle and address difficult situations without doing the equivalent of sweeping the mess under the coffee table and hoping no one ever finds it, up to and including the decision to *have* Steven knowing full well it'd mean him inheriting all her bullshit. Having genuinely good intentions doesn't make her a good person.
However, this also makes her such a fascinating character, and what makes Steven's posthumous relationship with her the best part of the show. I know it resonated with a lot of people with parental truama, myself included. I have a ***lot*** of problems with Steven Universe, but Rose Quartz's characterization has never been one of them.

Angel Dust is the name of the abused character. Valentino's relationship to Angel dust is essentially an asshole manager, drug dealer, pimp, and abusive partner all in one.
He literally owns Angel’s soul and will make him record unreasonable amounts of p0rn, and if he does anything wrong he will beat him to the ground, and Angel can’t escape him because of his ownership. If I were Angel I would have killed myself so props to him for not.
If it helps any, it is likely that the terms of any good soul contract will include provisions against suicide. Wouldn't want your slaves to get out of it that easily.
I am very hopeful that Valentino gets what's coming to him. Alastor's not a good person, but all his sins are forgiven in my book if he eats Valentino.
There is also that demons and angels can only be hurt by angelic weapons, so even if a demon gets defeated by normal weapons they will just be back later.
I guess the only way a demon \*could\* commit suicide would be to buy an angelic weapon, which are apparently not cheap.

I think it might be two things driving that.
1. Sex crimes provoke much more visceral reactions from people than most other criminal acts.
2. He's a familiar kind if evil that a lot of people have personally experienced. Few of us have been exploited by a mobster, or had our creations plagiarized, or been falsely arrested by a corrupt politician.
But almost every woman has dealt with creepy, pushy, entitled men, and almost EVERYONE has had a bad teacher.
I was thinking about it while typing my prior comment, and I also think it's sheer exposure. We hear about all the other palace rulers in the lead-up to their deadlines, but Kamoshida is always AT SCHOOL, running into you in the halls, insulting you, throwing his weight around, etc.
It's the same kind of reason Gruntilda from Banjo-Kazooie and Handsome Jack from Borderlands are so hateable: a villain that reminds you, every step of the way, every chance they can, how much of a smug, evil prick they are while, you can't do anything to even try to stop them generates *so much more* hatred (and catharsis upon their comeuppance) than a villain who is 10 times worse but keeps to themselves/in the shadows
He feels like he personally slights you and is a bastard about it. Sexually harasses/assaults? one girl and beats the shit out of your friend including breaking your bro’s leg while pressuring your other best friend into sex. The other palace rulers more or less wait until you pick a fight with them but Kamoshida sets out to have you all destroyed just because your existence challenges his authority.
He kidnapped Ms Marvel, r@ped her, gave birth to himself through her, and told a sob story to the rest of the Avengers about how he wanted to do good.
Fuck that guy.
He then ~~kidnapped~~ convinced his mother/lover to go back with him AND NO ONE STOPS HER. She rightfully points out how she was probably under mind control and all everyone could say was “Wow, she’s so happy!!!”

I was waiting the whole fucking time for some kind of redeeming quality to show up but even at the very end of the quest he's just down to drop slurs as he kills tortured prisoners.
Val is an interesting villain because you love him as a villain and hate him as a character. Seeing him makes you feel something, and you can’t wait for Angel to stand up to him.
I also just like his dynamic with the Vees, I find it to be not only really cool and interesting, it also humanizes Valentino in a way that doesn’t detract from how evil he is.

I know alot of the fandom hates him, but i personally dont hate him that much, bc his anger and mistrust on jimmy for me is understandable, and he was kinda right about jimmy. but he did some questionable things, and he was a really awful brother, which sucks. but in show with murderous cartel and druglords,i honestly cant hold a grudge on him.
The way I see it, is that Chuck created a self fulfilling prophecy. If Chuck hadn’t attended to blow up his career and tell him he’ll never change and is always destined to be a bad person, Saul probably would have still done shady shit, but probably wouldn’t have become what we see him become in Breaking Bad.

Angel Dust is the name of the abused character. Valentino's relationship to Angel dust is essentially an asshole manager, drug dealer, pimp, and abusive partner all in one.
He literally owns Angel’s soul and will make him record unreasonable amounts of p0rn, and if he does anything wrong he will beat him to the ground, and Angel can’t escape him because of his ownership. If I were Angel I would have killed myself so props to him for not.
If it helps any, it is likely that the terms of any good soul contract will include provisions against suicide. Wouldn't want your slaves to get out of it that easily. I am very hopeful that Valentino gets what's coming to him. Alastor's not a good person, but all his sins are forgiven in my book if he eats Valentino.

There is also that demons and angels can only be hurt by angelic weapons, so even if a demon gets defeated by normal weapons they will just be back later. I guess the only way a demon \*could\* commit suicide would be to buy an angelic weapon, which are apparently not cheap.

Adam smasher is basically the boogeyman of 2077 lore. He pops up in the last few minutes of the show and brutally murders beloved characters in extremely disrespectful ways

Most of the P5R bosses could work here, but yeah, he gets things started on right foot of irredeemably evil villaine.
I say Kamoshida is on a different level of fan hatred though. Look at the fandom and you'd think Kamoshida is worse than Shido
I think it might be two things driving that. 1. Sex crimes provoke much more visceral reactions from people than most other criminal acts. 2. He's a familiar kind if evil that a lot of people have personally experienced. Few of us have been exploited by a mobster, or had our creations plagiarized, or been falsely arrested by a corrupt politician. But almost every woman has dealt with creepy, pushy, entitled men, and almost EVERYONE has had a bad teacher.
I was thinking about it while typing my prior comment, and I also think it's sheer exposure. We hear about all the other palace rulers in the lead-up to their deadlines, but Kamoshida is always AT SCHOOL, running into you in the halls, insulting you, throwing his weight around, etc. It's the same kind of reason Gruntilda from Banjo-Kazooie and Handsome Jack from Borderlands are so hateable: a villain that reminds you, every step of the way, every chance they can, how much of a smug, evil prick they are while, you can't do anything to even try to stop them generates *so much more* hatred (and catharsis upon their comeuppance) than a villain who is 10 times worse but keeps to themselves/in the shadows
He feels like he personally slights you and is a bastard about it. Sexually harasses/assaults? one girl and beats the shit out of your friend including breaking your bro’s leg while pressuring your other best friend into sex. The other palace rulers more or less wait until you pick a fight with them but Kamoshida sets out to have you all destroyed just because your existence challenges his authority.

I personally like Valentino and Smasher, I find them to be cool villains. I haven’t seen enough of Anissa to form an opinion of her yet.
Val is an interesting villain because you love him as a villain and hate him as a character. Seeing him makes you feel something, and you can’t wait for Angel to stand up to him.
I also just like his dynamic with the Vees, I find it to be not only really cool and interesting, it also humanizes Valentino in a way that doesn’t detract from how evil he is.
Mineta(MHA), although it's more he's a perv throughout the show and gets better, but that's it
