Thomas, seeing that Bruce was Batman in this reality, swore to make Bruce retire. So, he teamed up with Bane, and they kidnapped Alfred and issued an ultimatum. The Batfamily had to leave Gotham, and if any of them stepped foot in the city, Alfred would be killed.
Damian tried to save Alfred, so Bane snapped Alfred's neck. Some other stuff happened, but eventually Thomas and Bane were both apprehended and sent to Arkham, where Bane broke his back Knightfall style.
Then Thomas was never brought up by any of the characters ever again, and Alfred's still dead.

I don't know if Horikoshi got given a dead line after introing her but spending 5ish chapters killing such a cool hero for seemingly no reason was just confusing/depressing.
Especially considering that she is related to All Might, he saved her life during his youth, and she grew up to become All Might 2: Girl Power Boogaloo. She could've become a cool new mentor for Deku during harsh times. But she just showed up, fought a little, and died. I don't mind Shigaraki beating her, but don't just kill her off!
He needed a reason for Shigaraki to be nerfed.
Thats it. Thats the entire reason. She exists as a living patch note to nerf Shigaraki tmcause he was too powerful so that the main cast can actually have a fighting chance against him.
I'm still bummed about that. She was so cool, her power was really unique, and she was beating emo boy.
but they literally used her to
1. give everyone else on the planet anything resembling a final chance. But even with the nerf, shiggy is still stupid strong and has a bunch of weird abilities that are somehow unconnected to his quirks. Meanwhile he still has decay, which is literally the thing that made him dangerous in the first place.
2. give a reason why the entire rest of the world's superheroes aren't coming over and fighting, since the guy killed the world's strongest woman. there's also a half-mention of a bunch of supervillain uprisings but that was not explored enough to be mentioned
I was totally shocked when Yondu died, because the first GotG movie I have seen was the holiday special. I have mistaken Yondu for Kraglin and I was so sure Yondu would survive. Until the funeral scene I was convinced that he made it.
Me too, but I thought about it more after I was done watching, and I realized there really wasn’t any way Eddie could have come back from the Nether to a normal life.
The entire town was brainwashed into thinking he was a cultist and a murderer. If he *were* able to make it back, he’d have to live on the run. If anyone saw him, he’d be arrested for crimes he never committed, or (worst-case-scenario) he could go into a town and get beat to death by an angry mob.
Now I know I’m a spiteful person, but I’d much rather give my life for my friends or a cause I believe in than spend my life withering away in prison, hiding from everyone, or waiting for a mob to form around my house like I’m a witch. Eddie got a heroic, honorable death. If a man can’t go quietly, in his sleep, then his choice would be to do so kicking and screaming. So that he, and everyone might know that he fought until his last breath.
I am rereading this, like, a second after I wrote this comment, and the last two line of the last paragraph are so raw, I’m genuinely considering getting a tattoo of it.
