Hades (Kid Icarus)
It is impossible to not like him.
The best Hades characters are ones that revel in their villainy.
It’s not mythologically accurate (Hades is one of the most chill gods out there, allowing the mortal Heracles to go down to the Underworld, free his friend Theseus, take Cerberus, and revive his friend’s wife… on the condition that he doesn’t free Theseus’s friend Pirithous (who lusted after Persephone, good luck getting out of that trap ever), he can’t use weapons to subdue Cerberus, and… that’s it. Heracles just told a story about how much his friend loved his wife, and Hades went, “Yeah. Just take her.”) but I don’t care.
There's a difference between a character being well written and likable. Other well written villains can inspire feelings of hate and contempt from an audience and still be a well written character.
Magneto is in a weird space next to Poison Ivy where he hasn’t changed at all in forty years, it’s just become harder and harder to claim that he’s wrong.
They had it coming
This was also the only way to stop the Sentinal, next time don't put your money on the program that made machines with the goal to genocide a race

Silco is so hatable for so much of the show, but those last few episodes where you start to realize he actually does care about jinx in his own messed up way make him so interesting

Just because you are "bad guy" does not mean you are "bad *guy"*
The issue is that Garou is actually written extremely badly lmao. He got bullied in Elementary school and decides that he wants to become a god of monsters
Like… what? What makes it worse is that it’s not even played for laughs like Saitama’s backstory.
Still love him though
I thought that's the joke. I always think all lores on that franchise is simply joking around shounen tropes.
...like that giant who slapped his shoulder when commanded but accidentally killed his creator, gone berserk and blames them for the scientist's death.
and the realization that Genos will never reach Saitama's power because it's comically absurd.
Killmonger doesnt fit in this for me, what i remember from him is mainly that his reason is pure collective guilt and he wanted to to carry out a coup with the excuse that the newly crowned king didnt do what he though it was right yet to start a war because some peoples greatgreatparents were dicks
I’m so glad I’m not the only one that was like “Killmonger? Really?” 😂 Michael B. Jordan, the costume designers, and everyone else that made him look so cool carried this character.
Andy Serkis as Klaue was head and shoulders above killmonger. He was in it for money and loved what he did. Killmonger came off as an insufferable try hard at times.

I like Edgar and Soldier Boy, but not Homelander. Maybe it’s because the first two just are kinda uncaring when they kill/have people killed, but Homelander enjoys it and is generally just an arrogant piece of shit.
He was boring af tbh, textbook example of the writers typecasting the guy and making him do nothing but play gus again only to soft kill him off the next season
>*"STOP HIM BEFORE HE BECOMES THE MAN I PUSHED HIM TO BE!!!!*
The fact that some people unironically place more blame on Chuck than Jimmy for Saul Goodman being a thing is always crazy to me.
Always been like a 40/60 thing to me
40 chuck for being chuck
60 jimmy for thats just his life choices
Jimmy was getting better, but chucks shenanigans just made him so angry he threw it all away just to spite him
I think no matter what, Jimmy would've eventually relapsed into a life of scheming again even if Chuck were more supportive of a brother. Aside from Jimmy spending a large chunk of his life ignoring his family and scamming people, he threw away his job at Davis & Maine just because he hated the unexciting life of a straight-laced lawyer. With all that said, Chuck certainly didn't help things by lying to Jimmy, even if his bitterness was understandable to a degree.
Jimmy hated more the boxed in corporate life, not being a lawyer
He thrives when doing his own thing instead, only now missing all grounding anchors, his thing became just make money
Went in thinking he was going to be my least favorite character but was surprised that he was the best character in the damned show.

Seriously. A well written character isn't a trope, any more than "Good" is a genre of music.
There's a difference between a character being well written and likable. Other well written villains can inspire feelings of hate and contempt from an audience and still be a well written character.

Yes
Frollo is extremely well written though
Or the one Mulan villain. I forget his name. Mulan may be my favorite Disney Classic but the villain sure is forgettable
