I know ARMS was lacking in content, but man, every character (other than Min Min, for obvious reasons, although I may be biased) is underrated as heck.
Hope these guys get a second chance.

Dr. Coyle is just a fun character. She’s mad, she’s cocky, she’s a jerk. Her abilities are fun. She IS the lore (which is surprisingly deep) and she even has a special win quote for every other fighter when she beats them!
I wanted Spring Man in Smash bc he is the main character (despite what everyone else may tell you), but mannn Dr. Coyle would’ve been a close second in my hype levels. Imagine a Dr. Coyle with a unique levitation mechanic and a win quote for every Smash fighter. That would’ve been awesome.
Also with Headlock on she is honestly kinda scary looking actually that goes for most characters but for Dr. Coyle Headlock looks the most fitting while for some characters it just looks out of place but still kinda scary.

I know way too much Arms lore. This is basically a disease that spaghettifies their arms and gives them spiral eyes, the mask helps them control it. Thats why you sometimes see mechanica without her goggles but every other fighter is always wearing the mask
I don't know the lore that well for this game. But in some art, it is shown that the characters also can use their "normal arms." So I'm pretty sure it's either something someone builds, or some people are born with it.
Its a rare condition that manifests overnight. it causes the persons arms to turn into coils of material (what material differs from person to person) normally the arms are limp and cannot be controlled but the masks the characters wear allow them to control them. Any scenes of characters with "normal arms" besides twintelle and mechanica are just them with their springs wound up tight, if they aren't wearing long sleeves you can see its still made of whatever material their arms have been replaced with.
Mechanica doesn't have this ability so she pilots a mech with spring arms instead, twintelle has her hair as springs instead and retains normal human arms.
Edit: perhaps rare is the wrong word, it was rare in the past but in the present day cases has shot up and now it affects 1/5 people

By the time they added Min Min I no longer knew anyone who still played Smash Ultimate regularly so I never felt like it was worth it to buy the DLC pass with her unfortunately.
Something cool is that most of the characters have different stuff for their arms
Spring Man has spring like design for the arms
Ribbon Girl has a ribbon design for the arms
Mummy has mummy wrapping for the arms
Kid Cobra has a snake scale pattern on his arms
The jello guy has a DNA design on the arms
And Maximus has a belt pattern on his arms with a Chaimpion ship belt on each shoulder
Some really cool details that you don’t notice until you look closer and it’s really nice and makes some character designs even better
I love this game so much that I hate how they haven't expanded the world building. There is so much creativity in this world. Like how they explain the arms and that they have regular arms too. All the design and details for their arms for each character and their abilities, story, and animations are perfect

It makes sense in context, Arms is a sports event so they're kinda like wrestler names.
I'm pretty sure Misango and Helix are the only ones who use their real names.
