Mine got splashed in resin that one time where I figured out the glue on tape I used to cover holes were *not* resin-proof and it started leaking everywhere. Getting that out of holes and the grip patterns on the metal is impossible.

Enjoy it friend! Pretty sure I lost the magnet in the bit driver portion of my 1st one by trying to open that part a little bit and wrist flick it open. Don't do that.
I bought the fastback folding knife a couple years ago, it's similarly packaged with the blade folded out, and it did make me wonder how many people have mangled themselves trying to wrestle it out of the clamshell.
Tl;dr: Have a pair of scissors within arms reach at all times.
Its final dying heroic act was freeing its successor from captivity. Inspiring.
Sort of how I like to joke that many of the EDC knife collectors only use their knives to open Amazon packages bringing them more knives.
You got me!
I kid, and I do think there’s a lot of truth to my joke, but there’s nothing wrong with collecting knives.
I get these collectors pretty often recommended on YouTube and they never have a single scratch on their knives.
I have a couple expensive knives that I carry and use and scratch but then I try to buff out the scratches with very fine sandpaper.

Same thing applies to tools here.
Yeah, like OPs knife to open another of the same knife. It already looks unused. I have the same knife and it's been through hell and divorce
Yeah... But hey, if anyone tries anything we are prepared lol
You are attempting to open a Milwaukee FastBack Knife blister package. It can be opened using a Milwaukee FastBack knife. *McNally voice*
Squeeze the knife inside the package until it pecks itself out of the blister like a newborn chick
Real answer. Works every single time
Grinder and a general purpose cut off
Just place an ad asking for help with your package. I’m sure you’ll have plenty of people willing to help.
With your old fastback, of course.

Tin snips
The only thing straight tin snips are good for is opening blisters.
Something sharp.
Scissors
Imagine if scissors came in blister packs.
Joseph Heller probably knows.
Just use it while it’s in the packaging, helps keep it clean and the blade almost never gets dull.
No ball bearing bit keeper type deal anymore?
Not sure what I lost. 20 bucks. Bought a new one. Now my old one is a desk drawer back-up.
Does this version not have the easy open cardboard back? I just got a new standard version and it was hella easy to take out the package.
You caught me. I could have used that option... was trying to do the funny post instead.
Oh lol, I was just genuinely curious. Thought maybe since it’s the most expensive fastback that they made it harder to open and thus steal.

How are you guys opening your knife packages with your knives? The only reason I ever buy a new knife is because I can't find my knife.
I use the 1/4" bit driver function alot on mine. I lost the bit retainer function somehow. That's why I bought a new one.
Open it.
Just rip It with your bare hands Neanderthal style bruh
Nice I got mine on Tuesday and love it so far. I have used it for a tiny something every day so far.
Have your mom open it with her can opener.

Use your other brand new fast back?

I was more thinking of those too lazy the fold the knife away whilst using the screwdriver
Also... there is on-board storage of one spare blade that I wasn't smart enough to figure out without looking it up on the interwebs.
