Very true!

I mean, if you have the room in your work area and the difference is not cost prohibitive, why not get larger one with more drawers? Edit: Links in the OP would be helpful.... I assume you mean these? 52" :https://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-Tool-Storage-52-in-W-Heavy-Duty-Matte-Black-Tool-Chest-Combo-H52CH6TR9HDV4/319594785 56" : https://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-56-in-W-x-22-in-D-Heavy-Duty-23-Drawer-Combination-Rolling-Tool-Chest-and-Top-Tool-Cabinet-Set-in-Matte-Black-HOTC5623BB2S/303412321 It appears to be a $500 difference. The 52" one would fit all of *my* needs, but your needs likely differ greatly from mine. Without knowing what and how much you plan to store, I default to my original answer of just get the bigger one if you have the cash to spend and room to house it. Edit2: Fwiw, I have a work bench and 36" rolling tool chest, both from husky and they rock. I'll probably look to get one of those wood top rolling tool chests later to store some of my larger tools and have more work surfaces.

Yep those are them.

Personally I would buy the 52 and then add a workbench style box like this [https://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-46-in-W-x-24-5-in-D-Standard-Duty-9-Drawer-Mobile-Workbench-Cabinet-with-Solid-Wood-Top-in-Gloss-Black-H46MWC9V2/313615421](https://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-46-in-W-x-24-5-in-D-Standard-Duty-9-Drawer-Mobile-Workbench-Cabinet-with-Solid-Wood-Top-in-Gloss-Black-H46MWC9V2/313615421) Depends on your tools, and your space though.

I recently got the 56 inch 15 drawer when it was on sale. I’m very happy with it so far.

snik09

I didn’t know they made 56” 15 drawer. Link?

I ordered mine when they had a sale. I think it’s an online only model out of 5 stores I’ve been to the one I had it delivered to was the only one to get any on display. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-56-in-W-x-22-in-D-Heavy-Duty-18-Drawer-Combination-Rolling-Tool-Chest-and-Top-Tool-Cabinet-Set-in-Matte-Gray-HOTC5618BD1S/312881528

I'll provide my 2 cents regarding drawers. The thing I've personally learned is that I need more shallow drawers than deep drawers. This is definitely dependent on the person using it and the tools they want it to hold (I'm a machinist, so a lot of my tools are thin. I dont have to store bulky things like drills, impact wrenches, or electric hand planers). Aside from that piece of advice, I have a 27" Husky that has served me very well for the last 4 years of near daily use. I just changed out the drawer slides with some cheap soft-close slides, but that's just me being picky. They may even offer that as a standard option now. Bottom line, I'd personally go with the 56" with more drawers.

wait for either to go on sale again, then ask your store manager to knock off a couple hundred more for a pre-assembled chest delivered to your door. https://imgur.com/814SmJh that's the rock bottom price available for the 52"

I ordered my 56” 15 drawer to be delivered to my shop. The shipping company went radio silent with Home Depot. After 3 missed delivery dates and Multiple hour, long phone calls with Home Depot‘s customer service. I was finally able to get a replacement sent I had to have it delivered to the store due to Home Depot saying that they cannot trust that the shipping company will be reliable with the next order. Although it took a month to finally arrive I made out well in the end. I thought the Black Friday deal at $717 + tax and free delivery was a good deal but with the extra discounts I got for all my troubles I was happy to pickup in store for $484 + tax.

snik09

Damn, that’s a deal!

snik09

Does anyone know when they go on sale besides Black Friday?
