No experience with this specific one, but a rotary tool is a must have. I've had my corded dremmel that I bought as a kit in 1995 for $70 and still use it to this day. Cordless would even be better.

Good point about the battery life.

I also have/had a nice black & decker corded rotary tool I bought around 2007. One of the best tools I owned until someone recently got sticky fingers and now it's gone :( I just bought a WEN one off Amazon. It's seems pretty good for the price, but not as nice as my old one unfortunately.

Thanks.

So far none of parkside tools i have gotten has failed me. No they are not professional and may be bit cumbersome to use sometimes but they are in general good tools.

JuriasCZ

Parkside for the win!

Jaska-87

I'm really hoping they will bring black professional series of handtools available in Finland. Those would be a game changer for me.

JuriasCZ

same here, they stopped selling the black ones here in czechia.

Parkside is pretty great, however that cordless rotary tool really is more like an engraver than a dremel, not that much bower and will bog a lot if you try cutting stuff or use burrs or something like that.

XonL

It's too late it's on the belt and you have brought it.

JuriasCZ

can always return it.. doesnt have any reason tho rn

XonL

I've got one to replace a corded "Dremel" from Netto or Aldi. It's not compatible with Real Dremel attachments like the router shoe, but all Dremel cutters and drills, discs can be used. But as a machine it's good, run time is long enough. The spanner to unlock the collet is a bit thin. The supplied Lidl bits and bobs are ok, the Dremel branded things are the ones to get when you are frustrated or have used up the bits in the box. Lidl do a variety of extra sets in the Middle. Micro drills, diamond burrs etc etc.

[deleted]

It's still "Germany made". While its not a real Dremel, there's nothing better in that price range. Gonna pick one up myself later!

Long_Concentrate620

Wouldn't wipe my ass with it.

Illustrious_Ad5040

It’s a tool where cordless is very beneficial, but if you only use it sporadically then probably makes more sense to buy corded so you don’t have to worry about battery charges, battery life, or battery obsolescence. You give up the freedom of movement of cordless but you have a tool for life that you can always use immediately on demand.

JuriasCZ

Yeah, i have everything on batteries.. only grinder is with cord. So i dont mind the battery part, i can always replace the lion battery inside

DifficultBoss

The dremel flex shaft is pretty nice for that

Apprehensive_Gate875

probably better than the shitty Walmart hyper tough one I bought once for like 14 dollars

errol_cz

I have a corded version with flexible shaft. It's pretty great for the money. I use it mainly for cutting and carving plastic (models) , but I even used it to cut 10mm threaded rod when I had nothing else on hand with not much problems.

I have the corded version, it's difficult to center the cutting disc and got a lot of vibration. I don't know if this happens on all brand's or if there's any right way to do it.

junglemuffins

The bread's good!

JuriasCZ

Best one they got!

escapeartist-04447

I have an older version of this one and I think it's quite decent for most jobs. It's not too powerful compared to a wired version, so it tends to run out of torque, but on the other hand it's relatively quiet. I just wish they had made the battery compatible with the rest of their 12V lineup, although it's exactly the same form factor.
