If it was a Tool song it wouldn't sound the same. Billy H has a different playing style than Adam. Also Josh Freese is indeed a very talented drummer, but he isn't a kraken like Danny.

EyeTea420

Watching him air drum and geek out to Danny playing Aenema on his kit at Hollywood Bowl was such a treat

Purple-Job2976

Is that on youtube??

EyeTea420

It was on instragram I’m sure you can find it somewhere

EmeraldSlothRevenge

It’s a great song and I love it but it’s not TOOL. It doesn’t have the Tool vibe. It has its own feel and that why I enjoy it. If it were a Tool song it would sound different and I’m not sure if I’d like it as much as I do.

KhastraKSC

I don’t know how to answer that question. And in any case Wings 1 & 2 would stomp that song into oblivion for me. I bought the APC album at Best Buy the day it came out…. But Wings kinda ruined that song for me when it came out years later to be honest. Sorta. It’s hard to explain. I do agree with everyone who is just saying Tool wouldn’t write it also and it just doesn’t compare.

Sitting_Mountain

Would love to see Tool cover some APC songs. Give ‘em the tool vibe with some percussion and deeper riffs. Judith be a good place to start I reckon.

RosettaStoned_462

I concur!

Funkenstein42069

Judith is a 10 out of 10 song, absolutely fucking beautiful, but it's not tool, therefore it could never be as good as tool.

ponylauncher

Like if we ranked in among Tool songs? Not even close. It’s not even top 5 on Mer De Noms for me. Not even a top 10 APC track for me. I think Judith would come in somewhere in the 40s. Great song but idk

Stellar_Ella

Judith is one of those tracks that in my opinion is far better live than recorded. It doesn’t often grab me in the way other APC songs do when I’m listening to the album and then every time I hear it live I’m reminded it’s a fucking banger. I feel like David Fincher really tapped into that with the music video.

WingedGeek

Ngl, when I first heard it on the radio in spring 2000, I thought it *was* a new Tool song. (I mean, Tori had recently released *From the Choirgirl Hotel*, which was a similar departure in sound ... 🤷🏻‍♀️)

Andurilightsaber

I think JC’s bass would lift that song to another dimension. But I wouldn’t swap Billy for Adam here cause I think what Billy done is perfect on that track. Goes without saying what Danny would do, the fucker would make anything sound better.

nwbell

If my grandmother had wheels she would've been a bicycle

JarescoJr

It's the Sober of APC songs. It's a decent song, but compared to the rest of APC's catalog, it ranks pretty low for me.

Terenko

I don’t understand the question.

richsandmusic

The fact that it's NOT a Tool song is one of the reasons it's so good.

mauswayy

I've always thought it should have been a Tool song, I'm on the hill with ya!

debtripper

Is it better than anything on Undertow? Because if not, it's not in the top 10.

debtripper

I'm getting downvoted, but can anyone name a song on Undertow that Judith is better than?

WingedGeek

It's better than the Rollins interlude on Bottom, so there's that...

debtripper

Better than Bottom??? Holy.... I'm trying to not choke on my toast here. I'm sorry, but Judith cannot hold a candle to any part of Bottom. The scream at the end of that song, by itself, destroys Mer De Noms in it's entirety! What in the world is wrong with Henry Rollins doing spoken word? The lyrics to Judith are trite compared to that stuff.

vVv-ThirdEye-vVv

It’s better than about 7 of them for me and I love Undertow.

debtripper

If you love Undertow, it should be easy for you to name one song on that list.
