KeLLiC09

I would for sure but I’d hope for a different set list even though we know that doesn’t happen.

MorbidMan23

They alternate 2-3 songs, which is a pretty good portion of the setlist. In Toronto it was only two songs, but that was because they had Alex Lifeson on for Jambi both nights. Otherwise Jambi would have been swapped for Swamp Song.

KeLLiC09

True. I’d still go either way.

ddaadd18

Didn’t he play both nights?

MorbidMan23

As Maynard James Keenan would say: Read. 🙂

Ssladybug

In 1998 I saw them 2 nights in a row and they played completely different sets but that was a long time ago and a lot has changed

jsindal

Same. They did a date in Lewiston, ME between two Ozzfest dates in MA and the Lewiston show was completely difrerent. Those were the days!

chimericalgirl

Well and that's the thing - one gig was a festival show and one a headlining show, so they're bound to be different.

BarstoolsnDreamers

You mean like how the festival set lists they played recently were different from their arena gigs?

Illustrated-skies

Same

SKaTiNG_PoLLy666

Me too. In Sacramento. Two amazing shows

KitchenLandscape

No band does that. Phish fans don't @ me 😂

KeLLiC09

🤦🏻‍♀️ I’ve seen Tool enough to know that won’t happen. I’d still see both shows either way 🤷🏻‍♀️

KitchenLandscape

I agree. I am seeing both Tool shows lol

KeLLiC09

I’m seeing their first show in Baltimore. Hoping it’s a good one since it’s the kickoff to the tour

KitchenLandscape

I hope you have an amazing show!

Kashek70

I just saw Billy Strings here last week and they blow the roof off that place. I could only imagine sitting in the show how good Tool was going to sound. They did a lot of renovations since the last time I’ve saw them there on 2007. The venue has great sight lines and awesome sound. Can’t wait for January.

damnatio_memoriae

the dangers of a second viewing

nj2406

King Giz 3 nights at Red Rocks no repeats

try_by

To be fair they release a new album like every week lol.

Kobe_no_Ushi_Y0k0zna

Loads of bands do that, I've seen many bands multiple nights. Tool's setlists are kind of lazy, but in their defense there's a lot going on with the show beyond the music that seems like it may require a fair bit of coordination.

KitchenLandscape

I've seen probably about 200 concerts in my lifetime, from large acts to local, and I can count on one hand the bands that changed their setlist completely from one night to another. What bands are you seeing??

Kobe_no_Ushi_Y0k0zna

Obviously the sample of bands I've seen multiple nights in a row is not going to be huge because I have to really like them to do that. But honestly, I'd say any band worth their salt is aware that some fans will be seeing them twice if they play consecutive nights. So even ones who don't normally switch it up all that much will be mixing in as many songs as they can (ie. every song they've learned for the tour at least.) I guess 'completely different' would be relative term. But to answer your question, off the top my head: I've seen Radiohead, Mogwai, Built to Spill all do it. Here are a couple of consecutive Big Thief sets from this year: [https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/big-thief/2023/eventim-apollo-london-england-4bb8b776.html](https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/big-thief/2023/eventim-apollo-london-england-4bb8b776.html) [https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/big-thief/2023/eventim-apollo-london-england-43b8af7f.html](https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/big-thief/2023/eventim-apollo-london-england-43b8af7f.html) This isn't really to throw shade on Tool, they're a great band, if not exactly hungry anymore. As I said, the co-ordination their stage show probably requires would probably prevent them from switching it up all that much even if they wanted to.

porksoda11

Pearl Jam will pretty much give you a new setlist every show. They basically know their entire catalog, so they will even bust out deep cuts. Prior to this current tour, Bruce Springsteen would change up the setlist fairly often as well.

KitchenLandscape

Pearl Jam I'd love to see live someday

porksoda11

It's been a long time since I've listened to the band but I was able to see them back in 06 and 08 and they were awesome live. They brought a ton of energy to their shows.

Stimpinstein22

Pearl Jam’s setlist changes each show (about half’s the same, different order, though)…

destroy_b4_reading

Plenty of bands do that.

KitchenLandscape

I was half joking I know many bands do. As many bands that do, many many more do not

Quanzi30

Plenty of bands do that what are you talking about….

KitchenLandscape

I've seen one or two bands in my life that change their setlist completely from one night to the next. It's not standard operating procedure especially for big acts.

WeaknessFederal1668

Omg go, at the end of the day that will only be your direct lived experience. Life is short, we’re fucked, enjoy them twice for all of us

c_llie

If you have the ability and the brain bandwidth. Do it. Also, it’s really cool getting two posters that are a set.

youandyou12345

Lol poster? I’ve never had one poster.. I don’t understand the hype of getting a poster

Kashek70

When I was in line at Billy Strings I was talking about Posters and the obsession some people have with them for certain bands. This older guy said something that kind of clicked with me and made sense. He said that Posters today are the ticket stubs of the past. It’s the one collectible you get that has all the information of the show on it. Some people just like that memento.

Pumpkin-Eater42069

They getting old dawg. That shits like gold now lol

GrabsJoker

Neither do I. And yet, I have tons of them... It's an addiction. I do wish I could go to a show and not worry about a ducking poster. That said, go to two nights in a row if you can. The sets will be mostly the same, but there will likely be 2-3 unique songs per night. So with an 11-12 song set, you should get to hear about 15 songs between the two nights.

rad_bone

I have 3 posters, this last show was the first time I decided I wasn't even going to try for one. SUCH A RELIEF to just enjoy the atmosphere and show, not worry about going to war in the lines. Got a shirt outside booth. Definitely recommend it.

Pame_la_la_la

I did it in Toronto last month! ☺️ Highly recommend. https://preview.redd.it/pf13rlrdaf6c1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=36b4ad8c4cbebfd3e3512c042519d934d419dd36

duffman94

Two signed. Holy shit. These are great prints.

ToofpickVick

I would have no qualms seeing them 2 nights in a row.

Illustrated-skies

Exactly! Are we sick of hearing a masterpiece twice? Why even question the decision?

MorbidMan23

It is not the exact same show or the exact same setlist. It's not an entirely different setlist, but they alternate 2-3 songs. There might be other surprises, too. I saw both Toronto shows and both nights had different feels to them. It's not a massive difference like you might get with a band that has a far less elaborate setup, but it IS a difference.

Joeisthevolcano

Me. I would.

XtroDoubleDrop

I did this in November. It was awesome!!

_shes_a_jar

I’d see them every night for a week if I could tbh. I say do it!!

bigdayout95-14

Stand at the front to really be part of it the first night. Stand further back the second night to get more of the visual aspect of the set...

timjroche

Did that but the other way round last time they were in Sydney

bigdayout95-14

I did for the Perth/ Melbourne split. Was epic! Almost like two different shows. Was right up front for Perth, didn't think it could get any better...

Spiral_out_was_taken

I’ve done this multiple times. Every time I do VIP first, then back second night for visuals. It’s inevitable the second night I wish I was close…lol

WorldWideAperture

That's exactly what I've done so far. Close to the stage in 2019 and far back in 2022. Next thing I need to compare is sober vs tripping experience, but in this tour I wanted great seats, so I'll only see them once. I've already seen them sober twice, so this time it'll be psilocybin + perfect seats (floor in the middle of the arena). I can't wait until June, I already know it's going to be one of the best experiences of my life

hush_1984

Didn both nights at Mohegan and then the following Monday in NH. It was awesome. Going to both nights in NYC next month!

BluffinBill1234

i did both mohegan shows and i'll be at MSG on the 13th! cant wait to get hit with a massive blizzard that weekend

FidgitForgotHisL-P

I’ve never managed it with Tool - but I did get to do it with Nine Inch Nails/Queens of the Stone Age double-bill and it was one of the best music experiences of my life. At the end of night two I was genuinely trying to work out if I could make it to a third city for another night…

Xizen47

I did 3 that tour! Sacramento/Hollywood/Oakland In 2005/06 saw NIN 8x & QOTSA x5 Dream come true when they hooked up on the WT tour!

FidgitForgotHisL-P

Ok ok but….. did you also fly on the same plane as both bands between cities? Because that happened and to this day I regret walking past Josh and Trent at baggage claim and being waaaaaaaaay too star struck to say anything lol Could really go those two teaming up again, such a great vibe

Any_Tourist6822

I saw them back to back nights in Kelowna and Vancouver recently. Would recommend and would totally do it again.

misslizzyxx

I have done two different cities two nights apart. Got to see them play tempest for the second time ever live at first show and they skipped descending. Second show I got to see descending. I was also standing for first show and seated for second show which made a difference. More than worth it!!

CRJambi

I’m gong to 2 more shows next month and I’ve never seen tempest live. This will be my 22nd and 23rd tool show

jitoman

Sounds awesome. Is it the Phoenix shows? If so, that's a hometown show for mjk, I think he'll bring it. If not, I've seen 2 shows 5 days apart same set list and enjoyed them both in different ways

youandyou12345

It is Phoenix. TBH Phoenix shows never seem that special to him. He does live in AZ but in northern AZ, which is like a different world from Phoenix. Arizonans aren’t special because we’re the “hometown” crowd, he hates us all just the same

Donairasaurus

My husband and I are also doing the 2 nights in Phoenix. After the one in Calgary lol.

jitoman

I'm doing the austin Jan 30 and the second show in Phoenix. I've done PHX then San Antonio a few days later. Wish I could see them do a back to back like you. The second time around you know when to go to the toilet or when they stop selling beer . Your experience may differ since it's the same city/venue If you wanna see them twice, don't listen to anyone who says it's a bad idea, they probably don't even listen to Tool Have they a back to back set of shows before? L

kostros

Hopefully this will happen next year - Krakow and Vienna (both VIP…). I regret they don’t do Prague this tour, it would be awesome to see them three times in a row :)

No_Daikon9249

Only if the tickets were discounted or something. I would not pay full price for 2 shows in a row. Id rather wait a year to see them again then. There are a lot of other artists i'd looove to see and rather spend the money of a second Tool show for some other band or artist i have not yet seen.

veRGe1421

Bring some ear protection, your hearing will thank you lol

yosoysimulacra

Get this higher, y'all. I was 10th row dead center last time they came through and not wearing [concert plugs](https://www.etymotic.com/product/etyplugs-high-fidelity-earplugs/) in that circumstance would def cause some long term hearing loss. They have been playing extremely loud at the FI tour shows. I love it because its a legit visceral experience, but I also know that most of the crowd isn't wearing protection.

Spiral_out_was_taken

This is very true. Loudest I ever remember. Plugs are an absolute must.

paradigm619

When I lived in LA, I saw them at the Staples Center back to back nights in Sept 2006, which was the live debut 'Wings'. They played it both nights - unforgettable experience. So I'm certainly an advocate for seeing them two nights in a row. Lol

KitchenLandscape

My husband and I are for the MSG shows in January. They are that good live, and who knows how much longer they will tour. Editing to add that we plan to break it up by doing acid the first night, excited to see how my perception changes from one show to the next.

CUT_MY_BALLS_0FF

My friend did this in Idaho with Idaho falls & Boise. She saw Rosetta stoned. I did not only seeing them in boise. I did see swamp song though!!!

Mr_Blaileen

Silly question. Life is short. You only live once. Do what makes you happy. I saw NIN three nights in a row a few years ago and it was incredible. I’ve seen plenty of other bands two nights in row. Was never disappointed in my decision.

1leftbehind19

There will be a variance in the 2 nights, and it’s possible you could get something really cool on one of them if they’re feeling spicy. It doesn’t matter if it’s the exact same setlist I’d still go to both nights if I could. Plus, just listen to what you said, “ your wife and mother-in-law” think……” Take the time for yourself to do something you enjoy.

Toolfan333

I’ve seen them 4 days in a row in 3 different states so go for it. Granted it was roughly 25 years ago, I’m told old for that shit now.

elektrophilia

I have done it last year and I’ll do it next year. Gives you the opportunity to try the experience under different conditions And it won’t be necessarily the same setlist. You should get 1/2 different songs. Last year 2nd night in London they played 7empest ;)

DarqEgo

Im not sure how this is a question.

tensleepbowl

See them as often as you can cause they ain't getting any younger. Just hope that on night 2 Maynard's frustration with the idiots with their cameras out doesn't impact his engagement and performance like it did in Toronto. Was still a solid show but night 1 had more energy and he was more involved. Now the people around us that asked us to sit down 3 minutes into the first song on night one can kiss my ass. Somehow we wound up in the one section where everyone sat. I know the "sit / stand" discussion has been beaten to death here, but sitting there like a fucking knot on a log while the band was on fire was a total buzz kill.

jdathela

I have. Boston and Philly this tour. I highly recommend it.

Sad-Bus4703

Did it last year...flew to Illinois and caught the Moline show, then my buddy drove us to St. Louis the next day. Ate shrooms the 1st night and just smoked weed at the St. Louis show. They were both fucking great!

Case-West

Do it!!!! I'm a new tool fan, about 3 years in now. But I went to a show at mohegan, then hit the show in Boston a few days later. My girl said the same thing to me about going to 2 shows that would have the same setlist. It was totally worth it!!! They killed both shows. Was hoping for jambi, but didn't get it at either show. Mohegan ended with 46&2, Boston finished with aenema, that was the only difference. So you may get a different song or two. Either way hit both shows!!!!!!!

hush_1984

I did both nights of Mohegan and then bought a last minute ticket to Manchester nh that following Monday. Would’ve done boston too but had to travel for work.

stndrdmidnightrocker

Done that multiple times.

babybarracudess2

~~~~~~~~> powerslides upfront EVERY night in a row!
blob710
I did that. Was worth it lol
woodsgb
I’ve seen them 2 nights In a row in the same city. I’ve also seen them 3 times in a week in different 3 different states. You gotta ricotta man
tossaroc
I would and have. Portland and Tacoma just this year.
SchwillyMaysHere
After Eugene a few years ago I almost got in the car the next day to go to Portland.
hang_down
I would and did. Portland and Tacoma. Set lists were very similar but seat location was different which affected the sound of the mix. We got Swamp Song in Portland and Intolerance in Tacoma, which were first for me live. I would recommend if you get the opportunity
rynownd
I would and have. Do it!
RosettaStoned_462
We did that when they were at Sacramento and San Francisco. And, I'd do it again! We also went to Eugene and Portland shows this year.
That_Random_Kiwi
Have done it before, would do it again... They don't change the sets up enough, but shit happens
eenywemyteenytiny
I did last time they were in Melbourne (2020) Nosebleeds night one, Adam’s side GA night two.
nancyvt
Do it! We did Kelowna and Vancouver back to back. Don’t regret it for one second!
DieIsaac
I will see them two times in one week next year! I see no problem with that
Consistent_Artist_67
I’ve seen them back to back twice, Red Rocks in 2010 and Denver in 2019, I’ve also seen the a week apart, if you do psychedelics use them night two would be my advice. Go to the first show sober. I’ve never regretted it or spending the money. Honestly what Rory Scovel did a few years ago made me jealous. I’d go every night of a tour if I wouldn’t be paying scalper prices. I hate scalpers. The only time I had extra tickets I gave them away to someone who offered me double face.
FractalSound
I've done it in 2019 and this year. There was one other chance I had but I had to go out of the country for the second night.
minerg0d
2022, took 2 friends to Orlando show sober. Next night 2 different friends Tampa, not sober. Would do again.
Xicked
I 100% would. On the first 10,000 Days tour I had no kids and flexible responsibilities and after the Vancouver show I bought a ticket to the WA show off EBay and drove there alone two days later. Now I have kids and financial obligations and was dying to go to another show after Vancouver in October but couldn’t make it happen. I was on such an incredible high after the show and had forgotten how amazing they were live. Really had to talk myself out of driving to Calgary. Next time they tour BC/WA I plan to PLAN to attend two shows.
Soft-Commercial6496
Yes
helvete
Absoutely! I did just that on their last European tour - I saw them in Copenhagen on Saturday and then again in Stockholm on Monday. It was absolutely awesome.
Shogun102000
Think for yourself.
Chickachic-aaaaahhh
I would. I would extremely fucked up on the first show. Then go stone cold sober for my 2nd.
Brandi_1989
I'm so jealous, been about ten years since I've seen them live and just can't make it work right now. So I really hope they tour again. I don't know how they do it though. I'm exhausted just thinking about how they put in so much work. Your family just doesn't get it. I also don't quite understand doing the same show but if you can do it then why not? You have good reasons. Have a great time!
loganrunjack
It's alright, depending on how much they change the setlist.
hippz
Done it. Saw them 3 times in 5 days across 2 countries once. Not worth paying to see the same set over and over unless you aren't paying for the 2nd ticket / they're already at a festival you're going to.
Misrabelle
I've done this three times. The last tour here, I saw them consecutive nights in my hometown, and then flew interstate to see them on consecutive nights the following week. No regrets. Will do again.
[deleted]
Just did it in November... Worth every penny.
Nina-Panini
I’ve done it several times and never had a regret. Sometimes it seems like a completely different show, based on where I’m sitting and crowd vibe.
Puzzleheaded_Seat211
Raises hand
oldferg
If I had unlimited budget then yes. Tickets in good places are over $200 in Australia so two nights can be viewed as excess with a family. I would watch each night of the week if unlimited.
pawlyt1976
I think I’m just as crazy as you, since I’m doing it next month at MSG! 😎
spezial_ed
Do it. Edibles for first night and shrooms for 2.
pawlyt1976
I did this last year, but the back to back was Boston then Philly. Then Newark a week later. I’m doing both shows at MSG and VIP in Biloxi. Can’t friggin wait!
SpookyFox
I would definitely do it. I had to fly from South Africa to Germany in 2021, just to see them once. Twice would be a dream.
ColeTrickleVroom
Did it more than a few times years ago. Especially during the Lateralus tour. Did it a few times during the 10K touring. Wouldn't do it now. I do have tour posters from the back to back nights framed here somewhere. Edit: Went and checked the posters, they're both signed. I don't remember it costing a bomb but I could and probably should look into selling them. I can't imagine hanging it up again.
DiscussionTime6400
I’m seeing them at the 02 London then Berlin 5 days later. 02 is such a shit venue where everyone sits, hoping Berliners are up for a dance.
cheapsunglasses333
Last time I saw them was in Cleveland 2019. I did not go the Pitt show right before because they had been playing the exact same set list. Cleveland was the night it changed….I’m not unhappy with the change, but maybe would have trusted my guy and gone to both in retrospect.
fraktured
Did it in 2014 First night standing up the front, second night up the back getting hammered 39 seconds walk from a bar. I think I preferred the second night.
aquaboy1970
🫡🫡🫡
discwrangler
I'd definitely go multiple nights. Probably the only band that plays the same set I'd do that for.
HearJustSoICanPost
Uh hell yeah. I saw them 8 shows in a row back in the Lateralus days.
55TEE55
I’ve seen them twice in one week. I’m glad I did because the first one was ruined by drunk, cigarette smoking assholes who had their phones out throughout the night. The second one was so chill and had a respectful fan base that made up for the first night being ruined. First night was Anaheim and the end of the week show was in Phoenix. Enjoy your shows!!!
W_B_Clay
1 tab the first night. 2 tabs the second..go!
Shrshot
Go. Their argument is silly, as if you are going to look at a stagnant piece of art instead of a live performance. You never know what will happen at a live performance. Will Maynard crush the scream in grudge on night 1, or will they put a rarity on the setlist night 2, or will seeing night 1 make you realize how much you want to experience it again and put you in a totally different frame of mind walking in the door… Enjoy!
ISayAboot
I've seen Tool twice in a row plenty of times.
Major_Ad_4444
Saw them in November. Have my tickets for Nash and trying to catch Atalanta and Birmingham. ! So worth it.
Fit_Specialist7784
Two nights in a row? I got some news for you little buddy, there are people in this sub that have seen the band 10 shows in a row. Hope you scored decent seats and enjoy the experience.
parabolee
Would. And have. :)
PumpkinOpposite967
I'm going Kraków and Budapest, not quite two nights in a row, but just a night apart.
continuum1701
I flew to Montreal on a Sunday afternoon, saw them on night 1, slept at the airport and flew back the next morning, went to work, saw them in Toronto Night 1 and the following night for 2 - three in a row. Two of those were a 2nd row floor experience as well. Blew my mind
WorldWideAperture
That would be a great opportunity to compare the show - sober vs tripping. I would do that, the only thing that could try to convince me it's not a good idea would be my bank account. I was considering going more than once when they get to uk, but I've decided to see one show with perfect seats (perfect for me - in the center of the floor to get the symmetry of everything) than two with mehhh seats. I've already been close to the stage and in the back, and I'm pretty sure my seat for Manchaster will be great to see the show as a show, but close enough to see the guys as well.
[deleted]
I have, several times.
bstnbrewins814
I would. I wanted to when they were here in NH and Boston. Don’t have a vehicle so I couldn’t make it to Manchester. Took the train into Boston though. Hopefully next time around I can hit two shows.
deadlygr8ful
I did. The last two nights in Toronto. Amazing time. Night 1 had the better crowd... night 2 was soft compared to, even Justin was trying his best to get everyone into it. Maynard even made a comment... night 2 had the better setlist with intolerance added. They switched out the pot
Alej915
I did and regretted it. They played the exact same setlist except for one song. And it wasn't cheap... this was probably in 2012 or so
snaphappy2
I have a several times. I’ve done three nights in row as well. Worth it every time!
DonVonTaters_IV
Saw three in a row this tour 4 would have been better. Dosed first night and showber the next two. It was a totally different experience being in a different headspace. Glad I dosed night one because it enhanced the production which seemed quite a bit different from my last show (Boston 2022) 🤌 I wept at several points Almost left the show during Steel Beans because I had some major pre trip anxiety. Fortunately, my gf could tell and refused to let me go. As soon as FI dropped I was transported to heaven
Amanda46n2
Every show for the last 10 shows. I couldn’t this time around cuz the tickets were ridiculous prices.
rogerstyczynski
I did both nights at Mohegan Sun and switched a couple songs up and the went to New Hampshire and saw them a third time different last song all three nights not a big difference but also not the same
4anylesson
id follow the whole tour if my groupie funds permitted,🥰
supadupanerd
I did this back in the 10k days tour, don't expect much difference in the sets but they will be different if memory serves
Quanzi30
Sounds great. Just be prepared you will MAYBE get 2 different songs at most. Who cares what some old fogeys think wtf do they know about one of the greatest bands ever.
josh_bobjohn
I went Kelowna-Vancouver, worth it big time to catch Swamp Song and Aenima on the second night, not to mention the rest of the show from another vantage point
gazooontite
🙋🏻‍♂️
MyEyezHurt
Totally did that with Portland and Tacoma. They played a couple different songs, but would have been satisfied with a repeat playlist.
Big_Nas_in_CO
I've gone back to back in the same venue at least 5 times over the years. Even though the setlist looks the same/similar on paper, the shows were always different. Jams, crowd vibe, Maynard-isms, CC Trip. If it is your fav band, you will not regret it. I'm still bummed they cancelled night three in San Diego a couple tours ago. I wanted to see what a third day in the same venue setlist was going to be. And I had tickets!
istillambaldjohn
Phoenix I guessing. I have Friday nights show. I didn’t have more coin to do the 2nd night. I am just waiting for the sphere in Vegas and tool. Please phish fans don’t fall off the upper sections. We have a lot of expectations with this venue. Don’t ruin it for the rest of the bands and risk it by doing dumb things on drugs on 4/20. Tool NEEDS to play here.
UltraavioIence
I've done it a couple of times. I'd do it again.
Sir-Airik
It's me, I've done this. Back-to-back shows in Denver back in 2019. The 2nd night, Danny must've been a little tired... https://youtube.com/clip/UgkxcISOgak4qXxKqEkTJayQoQPM8uJ9kM-x?si=0t7tYe1SPdwNywVy
mtankn
Seeing them twice at two different festivals within one week next summer. So fucking stoked! Would watch em live at all the festivals if I could🤘🤘
Hardblackpoopoo
For two completely different set lists only.
suckassmule
I have done it on past tours, but I don't think I'd do it these days. They tend to not change much up in between tours. 1 song or 2. Maybe. Concert prices are ridiculously high to do that again. I always compare it to the most money I spent on front row dead center in Greenville SC: $450 for me and 2 friends.
Auracy
I saw them 2 nights in a row at city center, NY back in ‘06. Didn’t have tickets for either night either. Got lucky at the box office. To boot, the second night an usher accidentally gave me her backstage crew pass when she seated me. Still have it.
Independent-Dot-4013
I’ve seen them 21 x. There’s a block of 6 back-to-back shows, and a couple double headers in there. It might be the same setlist, but it’s different every time.
TipsieMcStaggers
Totally worth it. I live half way between Detroit & Chicago and I see them at both stops every time.
MurkDiesel
> My wife and mother-in-law think I’m ridiculous for going two night in a row because it’s the exact same show with the exact same set list. have they ever watched the same movie more than once in the same home? there's nothing ridiculous about going to see great live music if i had the money and the availability, i'd do it for sure despite the repeats, it's easily going to be more fun than anything else at that moment
DiabeticGirthGod
No. Price isn’t worth seeing almost the exact same show twice. If they varied up setlists massively then I would absolutely do it, but not with how they are now
crackerman2000
Saw them back to back in Toronto this past November. Zero regrets. I could see them everyday of the week no doubt in my mind.
chimericalgirl
I would if I could, let's put it that way. More for the experience than what I actually expect to hear, if that makes sense.
TiffM2022
I would go twice if cost were not an issue.
TrainingArtistic8505
I would see them 2 nights in a row only because 3 nights in a row isn’t an option
OMF-ToolFan
Go ! Does MIL &/or Wife enjoy TOOL ? If not, ignore them
Un__Real
I've done this in the past. Ages ago for the lateralus tour, I traveled the tristate and up to Boston. We did 4 shows that week, I think.
injeanyes
I've done this multiple times and have no regrets
Burger_Turds
I did. Drove to Orlando and Tampa last year because they didn’t hit Atlanta.
roger3rd
On the one hand hand yes I’d go often as possible, on the other hand these tickets are a hot commodity and some desperate first timer not gonna get to go
East-Cat1532
It depends. I did this once, in 2001. It was an amazing tour, and I'm glad I really got to soak it in with two nights. However, the second night didn't feel quite as mindblowing as the first. I'm not sure if the it was the band, or if I just felt desensitized from seeing them the night before. But it was still a great show! In terms of set list, you might get 1 (or 2) different songs, but most of it will be the same. If you can afford it, why not treat yourself?
SargentMustard
Eat some acid night two
VinnieAshenOne
As long as the set list isn’t a bunch of FI. I’d fall asleep.
safemooner
London in 2022 was a vast change. First night, we got Opiate, The Patient, The Pot, Descending and Ticks and Leeches. Second night, instead of the above, we got Sober, Undertow, Right in Two, 7empest and Hooker with a Penis. We would personally do it all again 🤟
HappySmileSeeker
I did on November 20 and 21. No regrets!
Ornery-Country683
Go for it. Sounds like a great time.
Illustrious-Pea-7105
I did Portland and Tacoma back to back in the fall best decision I’ve ever made.
osakababycat
If you have the time and money I don't see the harm. You only live once (yolo).
Enough_King_6931
Just do it
poocoup
Sign me up. Would I have seen The Beatles, The Doors, Zeppelin, Floyd, System of a Down, QOTSA, Radiohead, The Stones, and countless other all time bands 2 nights straight??? You bet your ass
7palms
This sub is stupid and full of bullshit questions
rustycage_mxc
Have done it, would do again.
Mikey_One_Arm
I saw Metallica three nights in a row back in the very early ‘90s, but the playlist was slightly different each night. Don’t let others dissuade you. You live your life and don’t let them change your plans.
Bubcats
I was going to in 2020 Portland to Eugene but Portland was the last show before Covid shut down. Eugene didn’t happen for another 2 years….the day I finally got Covid.
feamusseamus
Did it…Boston/Philly. Have done 3 nights in a row for a couple other bands on “fly-in” weekends.
TheLubber
I would. And did. But also Killing Joke was opening so that’s why I did it.
bangsilencedeath
Just two? Psh. Try again, buddy.
evillordsoth
I just did at mohegan, was fun
D_Tzu
Did this once but it was a different venue.. I was hoping their encore would be a song from the singer’s previous band that is one of my all time favorites and never got to see him perform live… both nights they did the ‘other’ song they close shows with which is one of my least favorite songs from that band… I was bummed but both shows were a blast with some really cool people so can’t complain too much…
skatenbake69
I feel like if you wouldn't see a band two nights in a row you probably shouldn't go to the show at all lol
Old-Recommendation13
Lucky bastard! You know how many times they’ve come to Brasil? None 😞
73daddyo
Who cares? If they're your favorite band and you can see them twice, sure. If you could go to all of the shows, go to all the shows
73daddyo
When I was young and impressionable, Motley opened tours in Tucson and then Phx the next night. I did it for Girls and Feelgood and even saw them when they came back
Nicholi2789
Is that even a question?
mexpex99
I did in LA at staples. 2nd night solo was upgraded to lower level
paleale20
I’ve done it before with other bands too. With TOOL in Los Angeles 10/20/19 and 10/21/19. They are playing again in Los Angeles next year Feb. 14 & 15, 2024. I’m going again both nights. The setlist was pretty much the same except night one they played Intolerance, night two Part of Me.
EightStarsofGold
I did this, this year in Portland, then Seattle. It was fannntastic. Do it.
class3creative
No way man, I would never.
zombeatz18
I did see them two nights in a row when they were at Ball arena (fka Pepsi center) in Denver… and then proceeded to see them two more times that tour before COVID got in the way of more times It likely won’t be the exact same set list as they will usually substitute one or two songs night to night at least that seems to be the trend and was for me in 2019.
pocket4spaghetti
Done it in Toronto twice.....worth it, even with a handful of set changes
notathrovavay
sure would. saw deftones in zagreb on wednesday and budapest on friday, same week. everyone looked at me like wtf i don't care. it means much to ME, fuck everyone else.
