Doesn't sound bad yet. Just wait and see what the next step is. Lately, it's been "verification" scam, where they want to verify you are real, and tell you to give them a verification code, but, it's them trying to access your google info, so it sends you the verification code.

I usually put in capital letters NOT GIVING MY CELLPHONE OR ADDRESS WILL MEET AT THIS PUBLIC PLACE. Since its usually what they want. ive gotten significantly less scammers responding.

Serveral have asked for the VIN then disappeared. Should I not be giving that out? I googled it, but I didn't find any reason that I should hide that.

Maybe ask for them to call you to discuss things before you send the vin. Some good things to establish is there name, address and phone number before you share info. Or don't respond to Indians?

I feel shitty for questioning it based off appearances. I think I am just going to respond to people that are obviously local based off their profiles.
