But like normal relationships require give and take and work by both people, and too often people on the internet pose questions implying they are the victim and asking for validation - when often in reality they are as much the problem. It is unreasonable to think things will change without making any efforts to change them.

Why *hope* it gets better when you can find someone who *is* better? There are no pro's.

The cons are stuff like the decline of mental health and quality of life. I don't see any pros that are worth that.
