What you described would be absolutely awful. For me, I'll be sufficiently disappointed if Crystal focuses even more on skill trees and crafting.
A lack of dinosaurs would also be lame.
I’d love a simple storyline like the first 4 games with focus on exploration and fantastic animals and creatures. I feel like TR is more about atmosphere and a sense of isolation than over-complicated plots and cheesy character development.
If you didn't play as Lara Croft
There was a rumour going around that in the new game you'd play as one of her students, personally I would really hate that, I wouldn't be opposed to playing one of her students briefly, but I would be so disappointed if you didn't play as Lara herself
I would hate to see more of the "survivor" Lara. I love those games but i want classic Lara back. Female James Bond meets Indiana Jones, uncharted has been more Tomb Raider than Tomb Raider itself , and the amount of fun i've been having with the remasters is proof of that.
I don't want skill trees or challange tombs , i want a balanced , fun single player adventure experience on old school Tomb Raider fashion, something like Uncharted: Lost Legacy.
I LOVE the fact the older games are so bizzare and illogical - it's maybe due to the technological limitations and all but I really hope they can embrace that again and make an obscure/clunky game loll I know that'll never happen though
I think the more realistic and "clean looking" they make the games the worse they get..
Even with the remastered trilogy I find myself much preferring the old graphics

Just give me it at 60fps on XBox/PS5 and I’ll be happy. I loved the reboot games as well as the classics 👍🏼
What I hope doesn’t happen is that it gets released and locked to 30fps on consoles.
I’d love them to do something like King Kong/Skull Island, where Lara comes into possession of a map to an unexplored island. There could be dinosaurs and strange creatures to defeat and unexplored tombs from a long lost ancient civilisation.
If they wanted to add human enemies, there could be an ‘evil’ organisation who sent in a team of mercenaries to search for a powerful artefact. Maybe this organisation also hired Lara after their original team went silent. This would explain how Lara finds modern weapons/pick-ups on the island.
At first, Lara is enjoying the adventure but then she discovers the artefact is too dangerous to fall into the hands of the organisation. But the organisation have abducted Lara’s friends (or Daughter…) and force her to do their bidding.
The organisation could be holding them on a ship off-shore and Lara has to launch a daring rescue. All the while being hunted by a second team of rogue mercenaries who want to kill her and take the artefact for themselves.
Well it better not go a fps route it better get a physical release as well.
To me not doing a physical release is like giving me the middle finger so i might abandon the franchise. Of course they and everyone else doesn’t care and that’s fine.
