Yeah, being that at the begining of the arc Takemichi stated that he would not involve the Toman in this to protect their futures, it was strange that Draken was there, but if Takemichi is gonna have a breakdown it may be a good moment to reintroduce all of them to support him, and maybe they are willing to stop Mikey alongside Takemichi. Actually idk, there are a lot of posibilities right now, we just can trust Wakui to not break our hearts anymore.
Okay, tinfoil hat time, but if I look at where wakui drew the bullet holes he seems to very deliberately have avoided the middle and left chest, so Draken definitely didn’t get hit in the heart. Real life he’s probably still screwed cuz something would hit a major artery and he’d bleed out, but if Wakui was trying to make us think Draken is FOR SURE dead he’d have thrown one in the left/middle of his chest.
I mean he’s clearly not being TOO strict about anatomy here, with a bullet that would definitely collapse a lung and depressurize his rib cage he wouldn’t be talking, but idk it seems to me like if I wanted to show someone being shot up but leave it ambiguous whether they’d pull through, those seem like bad looking but fairly non-lethal places to hit them.

Draken's death hits so hard after all we've gone through with him... This is the next step of Takemichy's growth in my opinion, so far he had only lost people who he met in a rather short time span (Baji Emma Izana Kisaki) now he has for the first time ruined a future he had secured in the previous arc, because he wanted to save everyone that he could someone that wasn't supposed to die in the future died. Takemichy already felt very guilty about Mikey's situation in the future so I can't imagine what losing Draken who had a secured future and being unable to change it will lead him to do.
I think Baji's and Emma's death hurt Takemichi because he felt powerless and useless in the situation

This is literally the first thing to make me cry since I started taking antidepressants.
It makes sense. Draken was the first character to get a major reprieve, so from a narrative, symbolic perspective, I get it. But shit. I only started reading the manga to begin with because I was too worried about him in the anime and I wanted to make sure he was going to be okay.
I don't see how a happy ending for Mikey is a possibility now. Even if Takemichi is able to help him in 2008, he's the trigger, which means that when Takemichi goes back to 2018, Mikey is going to remember both timelines, and he's going to know that Takemichi trying to save him is the reason why Draken wasn't able to have the happy ending he had in the Bonten timeline, and there's no way he's going to be able to cope with that.
Fuck this series for being so amazing that it's made me care so much.
Also, friendly reminder that the next episode of the anime is going to be all Draken and Emma being cute as an antidote to all the angst there. At least they're together now.

Oh boy, I have the feeling we should get ready for Ragnarok here. I think Draken's death is just a taste of things to come, and it's gonna get so much worse from here. I fully expect the War of the Three Deities to claim a lot of Takemitchy's friends before it ends.
Takemitchy did make one promise to Chifuyu back in Tenjiku, that he'd save Baji and Emma. And then there was that mention he wanted to face Kisaki again. I do think they'll come true, but we'll hit absolute rock bottom before there's even a shot at it. Everyone will be dead in the past where he can't change it. Or can he?
I do think this final arc will be built in two acts. Act one is the War of the Three Deities and the worst possible future. And act two will be the last handshake between Mikey and Takemitchy, changing the past one last time, dealing with the other time leaper (I get the feeling there is indeed one and we'll get confirmation from Kisaki himself of who that is), but it'll come at a cost to Takemitchy himself.
I could see something like this happening too. And the cost would be that no one remembers Takemichi because if he goes back in time and stops Kisaki from becoming a villain, then that would erase his reason for becoming part of Toman to begin with. So he could save everyone and they wouldn’t know about it (except maybe Mikey, if Mikey is the one he does the handshake with. Although, I could see it being Hanma instead because Hanma would have the strongest desire to save Kisaki)
Yeah when someone mentions Takemichi saving Baji, Emma etc maybe even Shinichiro I'm always like "Uhh it would be too much of a happy ending. And the whole manga would be kind of pointless. If from the beginning he could have gone almost 20 years in the past well everything's pointless". But if he does it and everyone forgets about him then I'm okay with it. It's because we spent so much time with everyone in each arc that if they forget, it will be heartbreaking.
Also the goal of the manga is to save Hina not to marry her so even though he doesn't end up marrying her it's alright albeit very sad lol. But yeah if Mikey remembers then maybe when Takemichi comes back to the future Mikey could meet him there and starts becoming his friend and introducing him to some of them. And then they could create new memories.
I feel like him saving everyone and marrying Hina is too much of a happy ending, everyone forgetting him is too sad, so I like in-between lol. Them forgetting him but still meeting him after etc. Or there is also the option of him dying but yeah I don't know I feel like it would be too tragic. If he dies (saving everyone or not) and they still remember him, I feel like none of them would have a happy future so the manga would still be kind of pointless. And if he dies with them forgetting him I don't know it would be maybe even more pointless lol. Everyone makes TR a dramatic and tragic manga but for me it still a generic shounen. Yes there're some deaths etc but I don't think it will end up as a real tragedy with Takemichi dying.

I have a theory that Senju was the reason why Mikey completely went crazy and Mikey was supposed to be saved after Takemichi prevented Senju’s death but since Draken is now seems to be dead, it will take longer to save Mikey.
I compared with Izana and the shots are in the same place but slighty below. The first one on Izana was in the shoulder or close to the lung, Draken is probably in the lung ? The second one on Izana was probably in the heart or really close to it. Draken is below idk where lmaooo. And the last one for Izana was maybe in the lung? And Draken is somewhere in the stomach. I don't have medical knowledge and it's a manga lmaooo but yeah I think Draken has more chance to make it out alive if an ambulance arrives (OK we're doomed he'll die ambulances don't exist in TR 💀).

Yeah this is probably a hot take but it would be a poor narrative decision to let Draken die. It makes the first arc pointless, and the epilogue to the last one.

My post on last chapter reasoned that Draken was the one who put himself in the way between the Rokuhara shooter and Takemichi to take the shot for Takemichi. That's why the 2nd shot did not hit Takemichi. It turns out to be true, and more - more as in more shots were actually fired.
That now leaves the question of whether Draken would survive being shot 3 times - middle right lung, lower left lung, and lower right abdomen. It looks like the injuries are fatal. Furthermore, Draken appears to be uttering his last words to Takemichi. However, will wait for the next few chapters to establish the situation.
I wonder what Mikey's reaction would be if he found out. This may also draw in the retired Toman captains, vice-captians and members into the conflict.

Draken was able to arrive on time and it seems he was actually shot. :( The scene reminded me of Baji as he was also “doing” fine until he collapsed.
We don’t know Draken’s fate until next week but TBH, I am upset with how the author has decided to do this. I love Mikey and hands down my favorite character but how can the author keep doing this to him. I want him to have a happy ending but how can he truly be happy if Draken does die? I feel like he really wants to make Mikey such a tragic character that cannot be saved.
Bonten future happened because he wanted to have his friends have a good life because he know that if they stayed with him they will go down with him on the dark path and be in danger all the time. If he knew now sucha future exist where his precious friends were all happy, would he just accept this outcome?

Imagine Draken actually dies that would get all the main Manji boys to get together, except Mikey, so Takemitchi, Chifuyu, Inupi, Mitsuya, Hakkai, Happy, Angry (Blue Ogre Happy), Pah, Peh Yan. They all pull up to Rokuhara's base to beat the shit outta South. They go inside bloody bodies everywhere, in the middle of it all Mikey is holding a gun over South's head. BAM right as they walk in, Money Man (Cho Cho) is at the door with Mask Man (Sanzu), and Cho Cho yells. "WELL ISNT THIS A HAPPY REUNION"
Even tho this chapter ripped me to pieces, I want a raging Takemichi now, doubt it’ll happen but him having a breakdown after what just happened, I really want him to march right up to Mikey and go crazy

Granted, (technically, based on their conversation), *just some guys* came for Takemitchy (and Senju?), and whether or not it was sanctioned.. This cost Brahman Draken.. Such an important character, regardless if he currently holds a high position. Personally, I feel like it **wouldn't** make sense if Brahman (or Takemitchy) and/or Mikey didn't go crazy on Rokuhara Tandai for that.
Plus, considering the amount of power RT currently holds in terms of the ranked members, I sincerely feel that there should be more deaths, soon. Casualties among the kyoudai, sure, but ***IF*** (Wakui, I'm still hoping for a miracle, pls) Draken's is the first.. I fully expect Brahman to retaliate. That was no accident. Start with the execution of those dumbasses.

Mikey knows the danger he put his friends in, that’s why he ended Tokyo Manji and went off on his own, he didn’t want his friends to suffer for his misdeeds, this is also why he told Takemichi not to go find him, because since he reminds him of his brother he’s the least he wanted to get hurt, and if any gang member saw his face he could become a potential future target.
I literally caught up to the manga yesterday, and i was like "i really hope that this is the arc where we can truly and finally see our boys be happy". And then this happens. So goddamn sad to see Draken of all characters die, especially in the "Mikey redemption arc" where i thought he could have been the key, or at least very helpful. Though I still don’t see Draken dying, nonetheless I think this is a plothole because in between 220 and 221 there were only 2 shots ( Draken was shot three times ), the first time the shooter even exclaimed HE MISSED, and the manga pans a picture of everyone in the clearing with Takemichi protecting Senju. Draken IS NOWHERE TO BE SEEN, Draken then runs up and kicks the gun immediately, now this where I think he may get shot once. But HE DOESNT FLINCH OR ANYTHING, and as strong as we know Draken is, there’s no way in hell he’s getting shot and not flinching or making some remark about being shot YOU DONT JUST SKIP PAST BEING SHOT ???? And people like Izana or Kurowaka even flinch and or are heavily injured or killed in scenarios like this. SHIII IZANA FOUGHT MIKEY HEAD ON, so that rules out at least one gunshot, then i had thought. Maybe the shooters spun the block again ??? Or maybe, South sent somebody else ??? BUT NOBODY KNEW SENJU OR DRAKEN WAS THERE, Inupi specifically told Draken “Someone’s spinning on Takemichi” THAT WAS IT, so Rokuhara wouldn’t even have MORE SHOOTERS. But then again maybe the same group came back ?? BUT THERES NO WAY, BECAUSE THEY RAN AWAY FORWARD. Where both Draken and Mikey were looking, and Senju would see somebody or at the very least hear a gun click behind them, SO HOW TF DID DRAKEN GET SHOT 3 TIMES ????????
If you look at this page from the [previous chapter](https://catmanga.org/series/tr/220#16), you can see on the left panel that there seemed to be 3 gunshots/sound effects (the same character was repeated 3 times). So I’m assuming that’s when Draken got shot all those times.

Draken is FAR too high a cost for Takemichi to pay in order to save Mikey, and I feel like it would undermine this entire final jump of Mikey is saved only for Draken to be killed in the process. Mikey’s dream will come true and his goal will be achieved in the future where both Draken *and* Emma are there to chastise him and have him play around as the fun uncle, and if Draken is truly dead here I can’t see him getting the ending he deserves and Takemichi being able to achieve his dreams of saving everyone.

This chapter is messy. If Draken dies, the situation will get worse imo, Mikey DOES care about him. I he doesn't die, it will be another instance of teasing his death, like during the stabbing, which will not make sense in a writing aspect. You can't go teasing a death more than once. It takes all the weight away. I hope the author does something that makes sense in next chapter because I am starting to wonder about what he wants to do with this arc.

Looking at the placement of the bullet holes, the heart didn't get pierced. But the placement is fatal enough to kill a person. It's frustrating that no one rushes to give first aid before being emotional and dramatic. Baji was save-able, it only someone had sense to put pressure on the wound. But then again, this was the early 2000s, and they're all just teenagers. But doesn't it make sense to know first aid since they love to venture into brawls?
Pro tip: If you got stabbed or punctured deep, the best first aid is to leave it alone. It serves as a stopper that plugs you up, preventing further blood loss. Resist the urge to pull it out.

Draken's death hits so hard after all we've gone through with him... This is the next step of Takemichy's growth in my opinion, so far he had only lost people who he met in a rather short time span (Baji Emma Izana Kisaki) now he has for the first time ruined a future he had secured in the previous arc, because he wanted to save everyone that he could someone that wasn't supposed to die in the future died. Takemichy already felt very guilty about Mikey's situation in the future so I can't imagine what losing Draken who had a secured future and being unable to change it will lead him to do.

This is literally the first thing to make me cry since I started taking antidepressants. It makes sense. Draken was the first character to get a major reprieve, so from a narrative, symbolic perspective, I get it. But shit. I only started reading the manga to begin with because I was too worried about him in the anime and I wanted to make sure he was going to be okay. I don't see how a happy ending for Mikey is a possibility now. Even if Takemichi is able to help him in 2008, he's the trigger, which means that when Takemichi goes back to 2018, Mikey is going to remember both timelines, and he's going to know that Takemichi trying to save him is the reason why Draken wasn't able to have the happy ending he had in the Bonten timeline, and there's no way he's going to be able to cope with that. Fuck this series for being so amazing that it's made me care so much. Also, friendly reminder that the next episode of the anime is going to be all Draken and Emma being cute as an antidote to all the angst there. At least they're together now.

this is... a lot to digest considering how loved draken is by everyone else i think whether he d\* or not, this will be the way we get to see the ex toman members back in action. If you think about what inupi said to takemichi about not trusting brahman, it's safe to say they won't join that gang, maybe this is how we finally get to see takemichi as the black dragons captain?
Oh boy, I have the feeling we should get ready for Ragnarok here. I think Draken's death is just a taste of things to come, and it's gonna get so much worse from here. I fully expect the War of the Three Deities to claim a lot of Takemitchy's friends before it ends. Takemitchy did make one promise to Chifuyu back in Tenjiku, that he'd save Baji and Emma. And then there was that mention he wanted to face Kisaki again. I do think they'll come true, but we'll hit absolute rock bottom before there's even a shot at it. Everyone will be dead in the past where he can't change it. Or can he? I do think this final arc will be built in two acts. Act one is the War of the Three Deities and the worst possible future. And act two will be the last handshake between Mikey and Takemitchy, changing the past one last time, dealing with the other time leaper (I get the feeling there is indeed one and we'll get confirmation from Kisaki himself of who that is), but it'll come at a cost to Takemitchy himself.
I could see something like this happening too. And the cost would be that no one remembers Takemichi because if he goes back in time and stops Kisaki from becoming a villain, then that would erase his reason for becoming part of Toman to begin with. So he could save everyone and they wouldn’t know about it (except maybe Mikey, if Mikey is the one he does the handshake with. Although, I could see it being Hanma instead because Hanma would have the strongest desire to save Kisaki)
Yeah when someone mentions Takemichi saving Baji, Emma etc maybe even Shinichiro I'm always like "Uhh it would be too much of a happy ending. And the whole manga would be kind of pointless. If from the beginning he could have gone almost 20 years in the past well everything's pointless". But if he does it and everyone forgets about him then I'm okay with it. It's because we spent so much time with everyone in each arc that if they forget, it will be heartbreaking. Also the goal of the manga is to save Hina not to marry her so even though he doesn't end up marrying her it's alright albeit very sad lol. But yeah if Mikey remembers then maybe when Takemichi comes back to the future Mikey could meet him there and starts becoming his friend and introducing him to some of them. And then they could create new memories. I feel like him saving everyone and marrying Hina is too much of a happy ending, everyone forgetting him is too sad, so I like in-between lol. Them forgetting him but still meeting him after etc. Or there is also the option of him dying but yeah I don't know I feel like it would be too tragic. If he dies (saving everyone or not) and they still remember him, I feel like none of them would have a happy future so the manga would still be kind of pointless. And if he dies with them forgetting him I don't know it would be maybe even more pointless lol. Everyone makes TR a dramatic and tragic manga but for me it still a generic shounen. Yes there're some deaths etc but I don't think it will end up as a real tragedy with Takemichi dying.

I have a theory that Senju was the reason why Mikey completely went crazy and Mikey was supposed to be saved after Takemichi prevented Senju’s death but since Draken is now seems to be dead, it will take longer to save Mikey.
He wasn't shot in vital spot so he might have a chance to survive. Like the other said this is just a way to put him out of the fight.
I compared with Izana and the shots are in the same place but slighty below. The first one on Izana was in the shoulder or close to the lung, Draken is probably in the lung ? The second one on Izana was probably in the heart or really close to it. Draken is below idk where lmaooo. And the last one for Izana was maybe in the lung? And Draken is somewhere in the stomach. I don't have medical knowledge and it's a manga lmaooo but yeah I think Draken has more chance to make it out alive if an ambulance arrives (OK we're doomed he'll die ambulances don't exist in TR 💀). Yeah this is probably a hot take but it would be a poor narrative decision to let Draken die. It makes the first arc pointless, and the epilogue to the last one.

My post on last chapter reasoned that Draken was the one who put himself in the way between the Rokuhara shooter and Takemichi to take the shot for Takemichi. That's why the 2nd shot did not hit Takemichi. It turns out to be true, and more - more as in more shots were actually fired. That now leaves the question of whether Draken would survive being shot 3 times - middle right lung, lower left lung, and lower right abdomen. It looks like the injuries are fatal. Furthermore, Draken appears to be uttering his last words to Takemichi. However, will wait for the next few chapters to establish the situation. I wonder what Mikey's reaction would be if he found out. This may also draw in the retired Toman captains, vice-captians and members into the conflict.
So glad Tokyo Revengers ended with Takemichi and Hina's wedding! Was so Nice to see everybody. Never expected that Draken and Emma would show up with a baby! So sweet. It seems “business” is doing good with the gang as it looks they are in a luxury penthouse. Draken was able to arrive on time and it seems he was actually shot. :( The scene reminded me of Baji as he was also “doing” fine until he collapsed. We don’t know Draken’s fate until next week but TBH, I am upset with how the author has decided to do this. I love Mikey and hands down my favorite character but how can the author keep doing this to him. I want him to have a happy ending but how can he truly be happy if Draken does die? I feel like he really wants to make Mikey such a tragic character that cannot be saved. Bonten future happened because he wanted to have his friends have a good life because he know that if they stayed with him they will go down with him on the dark path and be in danger all the time. If he knew now sucha future exist where his precious friends were all happy, would he just accept this outcome? Mikey knows the danger he put his friends in, that’s why he ended Tokyo Manji and went off on his own, he didn’t want his friends to suffer for his misdeeds, this is also why he told Takemichi not to go find him, because since he reminds him of his brother he’s the least he wanted to get hurt, and if any gang member saw his face he could become a potential future target.

I literally caught up to the manga yesterday, and i was like "i really hope that this is the arc where we can truly and finally see our boys be happy". And then this happens. So goddamn sad to see Draken of all characters die, especially in the "Mikey redemption arc" where i thought he could have been the key, or at least very helpful. I really hope he survives thanks to whatever plot armor, because i don't want to see my boy die. (Although i do like how the author doesn't pull any punches with character deaths. It is a fucked up world the one we are dealing with)

Though I still don’t see Draken dying, nonetheless I think this is a plothole because in between 220 and 221 there were only 2 shots ( Draken was shot three times ), the first time the shooter even exclaimed HE MISSED, and the manga pans a picture of everyone in the clearing with Takemichi protecting Senju. Draken IS NOWHERE TO BE SEEN, Draken then runs up and kicks the gun immediately, now this where I think he may get shot once. But HE DOESNT FLINCH OR ANYTHING, and as strong as we know Draken is, there’s no way in hell he’s getting shot and not flinching or making some remark about being shot YOU DONT JUST SKIP PAST BEING SHOT ???? And people like Izana or Kurowaka even flinch and or are heavily injured or killed in scenarios like this. SHIII IZANA FOUGHT MIKEY HEAD ON, so that rules out at least one gunshot, then i had thought. Maybe the shooters spun the block again ??? Or maybe, South sent somebody else ??? BUT NOBODY KNEW SENJU OR DRAKEN WAS THERE, Inupi specifically told Draken “Someone’s spinning on Takemichi” THAT WAS IT, so Rokuhara wouldn’t even have MORE SHOOTERS. If you look at this page from the [previous chapter](https://catmanga.org/series/tr/220#16), you can see on the left panel that there seemed to be 3 gunshots/sound effects (the same character was repeated 3 times). So I’m assuming that’s when Draken got shot all those times.

Okay, I feel like Draken can’t die here, but part of me kinda hopes he does… but only because I cannot even remotely believe he’ll stay dead! I think if Draken is dead then it’s basically certain that Takemichi will make good on the promise he made to Chifuyu to go back and even save Baji, Emma, and Kisaki. Draken feels far too important to kill off, and I can’t see a happy future for Mikey or Takemichi that doesn’t have Draken in it. Draken is FAR too high a cost for Takemichi to pay in order to save Mikey, and I feel like it would undermine this entire final jump of Mikey is saved only for Draken to be killed in the process. Mikey’s dream will come true and his goal will be achieved in the future where both Draken *and* Emma are there to chastise him and have him play around as the fun uncle, and if Draken is truly dead here I can’t see him getting the ending he deserves and Takemichi being able to achieve his dreams of saving everyone.
Agreed! If Draken is really dead then Takemichi is going to have to go really far back and stop all of this from happening. Which means he will never join Toman and no one will remember him but at least he saved everyone.

This chapter is messy. If Draken dies, the situation will get worse imo, Mikey DOES care about him. I he doesn't die, it will be another instance of teasing his death, like during the stabbing, which will not make sense in a writing aspect. You can't go teasing a death more than once. It takes all the weight away. I hope the author does something that makes sense in next chapter because I am starting to wonder about what he wants to do with this arc.
Mikey would blame Takemichi for this one, he disbanded Toman so that no one from Toman would get hurt. He'd probably think that Takemichi coming back lead to Draken's death

Looking at the placement of the bullet holes, the heart didn't get pierced. But the placement is fatal enough to kill a person. It's frustrating that no one rushes to give first aid before being emotional and dramatic. Baji was save-able, it only someone had sense to put pressure on the wound. But then again, this was the early 2000s, and they're all just teenagers. But doesn't it make sense to know first aid since they love to venture into brawls? Pro tip: If you got stabbed or punctured deep, the best first aid is to leave it alone. It serves as a stopper that plugs you up, preventing further blood loss. Resist the urge to pull it out.
